Don’t understand all the hate. This show is a refreshing, hilarious take on the boring Scooby Doo formula. “Oh no, people of color and gay folks are playing characters that should be white and straight.” Get over yourselves, you babies.

This show is funny and a cartoon, if you like Rick & Morty, South Park and Harley Quinn you’ll like it. The negative reviews are mean spirited.

The harsh reviews and hatred are very expected. The sensitivity of die hard fans shows how much they despise alteration. GROW UP. We are not children eating cereal on Saturday morning anymore. We are not children eating cereal on Saturday morning anymore. Just as we have grown and changed it isn't a far stretch that a beloved cartoon might do the same. To the confused boomers and sensitive Gen Z; This show is like taking the 90s Gen Z movies like Natural Born Killers and mixing it with millennial cartoons like South Park and Family guy that pushes boundaries with humor. A modern retelling of the Scooby Doo mysteries with slap stick humor and actual blood is funny. Taking it a step further and adding ethnicity and watching baby boomers and conservatives crumble adds to the hilarity outside of the show itself. It's like a two for one deal for Gen Z and Millennials. I hope people stop pretending they don't know who the show is for when it is clear, it is for those who don't care what others think and can make a joke out of it. Like me, every single negative review only made me curious and I'm glad because I really enjoyed it.… Expand

Though I do get why fans might be upset about this new "Scooby-Doo" show, as a fan myself, I don't think it really bothered me this new adaption. I love how funny and raunchy the show is, I also liked that the team is now more raciallyThough I do get why fans might be upset about this new "Scooby-Doo" show, as a fan myself, I don't think it really bothered me this new adaption. I love how funny and raunchy the show is, I also liked that the team is now more racially diverse and that there's LGBTQ+ representation. Definitely NOT a show for kids, but as an adult who also enjoyed the classic Scooby-Doo as a kid, I'm really enjoying it so far!… Expand

Not what I was expecting but was still enjoyable for an adult cartoon. Only 2 eps so far and its starting to come together, i will give it a full season before I make a final judgement.

Wow! The reviews for this show are HARSH! Damn! I mean, it’s not the greatest, but I’ve seen a helluva lot worse than Velma. Let’s be honest: it’s not that bad. However, it has the most horrible first episode in animation history. If you give it a chance, you’ll have not a great time as in Rick and Morty, or other series way better than this, but its storyLet’s be honest: it’s not that bad. Velma has been renewed for a second season. I, for one, isn't shocked by this. Normally a show with these laughable ratings would be cancelled - of course - but shows that has a clear agenda pretty much always get one or two seasons moreVelma has been renewed for a second season. Normally a show with these laughable ratings would be cancelled - of course - but shows that has a clear agenda pretty much always get one or two seasons more until it's finally cancelled, because 1. Excuses, pushing blame and total incapability to admit they might actually suck at this. "We're just being review bombed! There CAN'T be other reasons!" 2. The network is afraid of bringing down the axe, in fear of being called this or the other.
My advice to the networks: just stop encouraging shows like this. Stop wasting money on shows that undoubtedly will be cancelled and forgotten 1 or 2 years down the line anyways.… Expand
