In the first few episodes of the new season, pretty much everyone in the “Veep” cast gets a moment in which to show off the breadth of their skill, ripping into the show’s signature waterfalls of profanity with relish. ... But 7 seasons in, much of the novelty of “Veep’s” signature viciousness has worn off.

Like many comedies that were once funny (ahem 99) , Veep is just repeating itself or trying to push the enveloppe so far it becomes ludicrousLike many comedies that were once funny (ahem 99) , Veep is just repeating itself or trying to push the enveloppe so far it becomes ludicrous (the Jonah story line is not funny. it's embarrassing to think some writers came up with this kind of 3rd graders joke. Incest jokes, here we go! Next stop: zoophilia and necrophilia!).
Apart from a few zingers here or there, it just helps you chuckle whiling your time away. Young American people call it cringe, don't they?

What began as a pretty clever political parody morphed into the most fearless comedy on the tube. A continued concert of dizzyingly brilliant acting, writing and editing that truly seeks to affect how one perceives modern geopolitics. It's finale episode may soon stand as one of the very best episodes in the medium's history as it brutally tidied up its various plot points without one false note or beat - and made you laugh...wryly.
