Any fears that the departure of series creator Armando Iannucci would result in a diminishment of quality are immediately allayed. New showrunner David Mandel demonstrates a firm command and light touch in keeping the new episodes centered around Louis-Dreyfus and Selina’s bursts of anger, her deflations of despair, and her reactions to both the stupidity and shrewd mendacity of her staff. The fifth season of Veep doesn’t just win the expectations game, it just wins. The rapid-fire, acid-tongued dialogue hasn’t changed, nor has the almost unfathomable ratio of zingers per minute. With a cast this talented--Julia Louis-Dreyfus remains at the height of her talents--the only thing that could go wrong is the writing, but it’s as assured and hilarious as ever. Read full review

One of the most underrated comedies out there. It has consistently delivered each season, with the same humour and style. I haven't been let down yet and this season is already off to a great start. Hilarious show, great acting, do yourself a favour and binge watch this now!

This show is perfect for what it tries to do, you can not like it, if you don't it's not because of the quality it's because of the topics. There is no other TV show like this.

One of the most brilliant TV shows out there. Not to mention its pretty hilarious too. The cast this season has been insane so far and its only 1 episode in. This is the lamest show I've ever seen in my life. I can't believe it's considered to be a comedy. It hasn't made me laugh even once, ever. Don't watch it
