True Blood is a series which is an adaptation of “The Souther Vampires Mysteries” book series by Charlaine Harris. They follow loosely the story arcs of the books in the first seasons but abandon them later on. They follow loosely the story arcs of the books in the first seasons but abandon them later on. I mind not for most of the changes because they create good stories, character development and archive a good but different world building. There are two changes that I think harm the overall performance. They took out the conspiracy of the Vampire Kings/Queens against each other which lead to an interesting story arc in the books that had many impacts for the characters They chose an ending which angered many fans. Out of the many options they had they chose the worst (Maybe they want to defy expectations). Characters: I think the actors are well chosen and work well together. The interaction and the development is believable. World building / setting: They took much out of the books and improved it with own ideas. No complaints from my side in this department because most of it is really good. The world from the books and the series are both interesting a well crafted. Later on they create their own stories which I appreciate. Overall it is that kind of series that you can enjoy without knowledge of the books and still appreciate when you have read all of them with the exception of the ending of the final season for both cases.… Expand
