Granted, "Treadstone" (the name comes from the secret operation that turned Bourne into a weapon) proceeds a little too slowly in terms of connecting the dots, but the show doesn't scrimp on action, and those who enjoyed the movies should find tantalizing threads in this expansion of the narrative.

Sorry. It's a mess. Narrative, pace, tone. What character development? Nothing is sticking. I have reached Episode 4 and I cannot take another step.

The actors barely manage to give the characters any substance at all (Han Hyo-joo is the only one that comes away looking good. without her this would be a solid 0 out of 10) so there's little motivation to continue watching to see what happens to them. Meanwhile there are too many threads ongoing at once to just check your brain at the door and watch it for the entertainment. The too many threads also has led to a lot of mediocre padding, which isn't that surprising when they're trying to spin a one trick pony into a whole circus act. I could stand a bit of padding if the rest was really good, but it's not. So what we have is something that works on no levels at all, leaving you wondering why you watched it for so long before you gave up. Full Review »

The show is just all over the place, constantly swapping between different times and characters, there's no real attachment to the characters.
