Summary: After a summer of reruns, a few preview/leftover? episodes and a series of 5 special best of episodes, Season 8, with weekly new episodes, opens with this episode, featuring long time regular designer Frank, a new designer, Mario, and two new carpenters, Thad and Brandon, decorate the basements of 2 houses.

A voice over announcer startsAfter a summer of reruns, a few preview/leftover? episodes and a series of 5 special best of episodes, Season 8, with weekly new episodes, opens with this episode, featuring long time regular designer Frank, a new designer, Mario, and two new carpenters, Thad and Brandon, decorate the basements of 2 houses.

A voice over announcer starts the episode which shifts over to the on screen people after he intros the locale. They still have 2 days but now the budget is $2000.

There are 2 carpenters again in each episode.

An added concept to this episode has support carpenters joining the visual portion of the show, with one man in this episode going to the other team to help out the new designer's team in carpentry-world when the new designer got in over his head with the amount of carpentry he needed.

They also stressed that there are two teams more noticeably, identifying the designers as blue or green team in print on screen.

And for the reveals, instead of hiding, the designer and carpenter waited outside the door to the house, greeting the homeowners as they entered the building and then observing their reaction on a monitor after they go inside.… Expand
