Dec 19, 2021I will preface my statement saying I haven’t read the books. As a stand alone I enjoyed it nevertheless. At times the writing around the female mages made me cringe and needs to be improved moving forward. The production value this season was a dramatic improvement from the previous season. The story line and monster remained interesting throughout each episode.

-
Dec 29, 2021I've read the whole saga and i absolutely disagree with much of the negative revivews. The show is worth to look at & in no way as bad as reviewed here.

Dec 19, 2021i loved season 2 more than season 1. better story telling, better Special effects and more... remember The series should not be a copy of the books or games. there should be some differences. and to those who have no idea about the Witcher world, remember its just the beginning...!
-
Dec 20, 2021I trully love this universe, and I hope that the creators will find more talented screenwriters (I give a high score, but for the screenwriters, especially those responsible for the dialogues, I put 0)
-
Dec 18, 2021Yes there some changes from the book but I don’t see it as a negative as it adds something different to the show. Pacing isn’t always great but the world and characters it builds is amazing and HC kills it once again in the lead from an all round brilliant cast
-
Dec 18, 2021The 2nd season is a masterpiece in improvement over Season 1. Ignore the racists reviews that can't handle a couple secondary roles be people of color. It's awesome!

Jan 4, 2022Geralt acude a un bardo para obtener un consejo mientras Yennefer descubre lo importante que es Ciri. La visita del emperador Emhyr a Cintra aumenta las tensiones.

Jan 9, 2022Season 2 fixed all of the issues from season 1 . It was a entertaining watch

-
Dec 18, 2021This was an awesome season! Less jumping around and all together a great fantasy show. Will watch time and time again!

Dec 19, 2021Watched season 2 in one day and loved it!
Yes, it's different than the books but it is still a great story. Acting was ok.
I would give this season a 8, but to offset those morons with there zeros I'll give it a ten. -
Dec 19, 2021A very good show and this is coming from someone who has played all the games and read all the books. There are some changes, yes, but nothing that would make me not love this.
-
Dec 18, 2021Just brilliant, an all-around improvement. Can't wait to see more of this masterpiece. The changes made unexpected but fantastic.
-
Dec 18, 2021A great step up from the first season. Henry Cavil
Is fantastic as Geralt and is given a lot more dialogue this season. -
Dec 17, 2021The story is much better than the first season, the characterization is very different and the special effects are very good. I am very pleased with this season and I can tell you that this is a good start to continue Spekowski's masterpiece.
-
Dec 17, 2021They corrected the problems that the first season had and did a great job, there are some changes with respect to the books but in general I loved it.
-
Dec 18, 2021I love the first season, so I do the second. I smell bigger budget here (CGI, Effects, Costumes). I like that each espisode beside main story, has it's own side story. I like it a lot. Henry Cavil is the true Witcher ;)
-
Dec 19, 2021Great acting, effects, cinematography, drama and action. What you want from a TV show. Watched it in one go. Best I have seen on TV this year. Brilliant.
No it isn't a faithful adaption of the book. Judge it on its own merits. -
Dec 21, 2021Definite improvement over season 1. Strayed from the book a bit but overall good.

Dec 21, 2021Мне понравилось . Посмотрел на одном дахании
-
Dec 19, 2021Much better than the first season. Good cast acting. But the actress who plays Ciri is very bad. Where are the emotions? Always the same facial expression no matter the situation. Many commentators don't even understand what they saw. This is not an adaptation, but a series based on books. I don’t want to see a simple retelling of books, it’s boring.
-
Dec 19, 2021Congrats to Lauren for brave and successful plot changes. If you want the book's story, just read a book.If you want sth fresh, just watch it! Huge improvement comparing to season 1. Beautiful sets, fantastic special effects and great expansion of the original story. Thats so cringe when people complain about about the plot :))).
-
Dec 19, 2021Season 2 is **** excellent. Don't listen to the negative reviews. Their arguments are all about how it's "different from the books" and nothing else. Yes, it's different, but it's amazingly good.
-
Dec 17, 2021Much better than the first season, that plot twist at the end was so good I can't wait for the third season
-
Dec 17, 2021Very Good second season! Maybe more fight with monster ) Wait next season!)) Hello all witchers from Ukraine)))
-
Dec 20, 2021Don't listen to the review bombers. Half of them are trolls who can't focus on deep story telling, and the other half are book purists who can't stand a single change from the source material. This show is excellent and I hope it gets many other seasons.
-
Dec 19, 2021Only giving this a 10 because of all the crybaby review bombers. But for someone that hasn't read any of the books I thoroughly enjoyed the season and look forward to season 3

Dec 25, 2021This is a promising TV series. The world of The Witcher is really huge and has a lot of interesting things to explore. I hope the crew will continue to explore further and delve into the relationship between Geralt, Ciri and Yennefer.
-
Dec 17, 2021I was afraid that the 2 year anticipation of season 2 would leave me dissapointed. Not only did season 2 meet my expectations, but exceeded it. Brilliant storyline, suplimented with superb acting!

Dec 21, 2021Not the best show ever. But as someone who loved the games and read some of the books, still very enjoyable.

-
Dec 25, 2021The second season is better than the first in every way. Costumes, graphics, battles with monsters, a bunch of charismatic heroes, a consistent storyline that leaves no questions. Creators got rid of the dragon scrotums, although the current armor is still far from ideal.
-
Dec 21, 2021The Witcher S2 is fantastic and much better than the mediocre first season. The technical aspects are day and night, better writing and cast direction.
-
Dec 26, 2021Заслуженно 7, куда лучше чем 1 сезон. Только 7 потомучно в некоторых местах плохая актерская игра и отход от книг

Dec 21, 2021Great show!! Don't listen to the haters. Sure it doesn't follow the books exactly, but the show is fun none the less.

Dec 27, 2021I think season 2 is a big improvement on season 1.
Much improved storyline and visual effects.
Gerald and Ciri are awesome.
So many good actors. Too many to name. -
Dec 22, 2021Not sure about all these negative reviews. I'm guessing some aren't happy with the diverse casting? It's a solid, entertaining bit of fantasy goodness, ignore the haters.

Jan 13, 2022Witcher season 2 does exactly what season 1 did but better in every way. VFX and choreography have massively improved and the writing is top notch. This show has a very bright future.

A more structured and focused telling of the story helps immensely, but there is still room for improvement. -

Dec 29, 2022Season 2 shows how you can make a new great version of a story that is also respectful to the original
-
Dec 26, 2022Not as good as season 1. They dropped the ball with the storylines when compared to the books but still excellent.
-
Jul 6, 2023To be honest, the second season is noticeably worse than the first. So I think it's... ok?
Awards & Rankings
-
The show has earned a sizable amount of goodwill in an impressively short time, and even if we can no longer see the destination, The Witcher still feels like a hell of an adventure.
-
Watching the foundation get laid isn’t always exciting, but it does feel like showrunner Lauren Schmidt Hissrich is building toward rousing sequences and cares about each of the characters equally. Whether you feel the same doesn’t really matter. “The Witcher” is in it for the long haul, and even if Season 2 feels longer than it should, you won’t regret the ride.
-
“The Witcher” constantly struggles to balance its dialogue-driven scenes with pushing the plot forward. It can be an exhausting show in terms of pace—every single episode feels longer than it actually is.
