Nov 19, 2021There are many people I see angry claiming the show is "woke" and not faithful to the books. As a book reader of the series I have found that this show captures the spirit of the books and does so in a way that makes me hungry for more.

Nov 22, 2021The changes are —I believe— for the best and I love the overall tone of the series. It's perfect! Can't wait to see more of it in the weeks to come!!!

Nov 19, 2021First class character, plot and world building with a fast moving plot and gripping action. Great CGI from episode one onwards is a big help in this fantasy setting!
-
Nov 19, 2021Great so far and the episodes are getting progressively better. Each of the main characters embody the book equivalent or even in some cases improve and enhance the familiar. The pacing of the first episode was a bit off, but all first three episodes taken together make for a great trajectory towards the Eye of the World in episode 8

Nov 20, 2021Awesome show to an awesome book series! I really like what they did to the back stories of perrin and matt. Yes there are changes but the story follows in the same paths as the books with some twist and turns

Nov 21, 2021Enjoying the season so far, fast paced. Looking forward to seeing how they adapt the immense story.

Jan 16, 2022I read the books and really enjoyed the TV series. It's a shame it doesn't go into a little more detail, the books' details were always delicious.

Jan 9, 2022The wheel of time
High budget series with a composite universe. The action and special effects are delightful. I especially loved the performances from Rosamund Pike and Daniel Henney.
As someone who hasn't read the book, I can't draw comparisons between the book and the tv adaptation. -
Jan 6, 2022I watched every episode about 2-4 times. I am going to binge it again a few times. I love the casting and I feel very happy with this adaptation of this book series I love so much. They had difficulty in the end of the season because of COVID but they did a great job to overcome it. I wish wewillhave more episodes per season!

Jan 5, 2022Great season! tEotW isn't the easiest book to adapt, and the Covid situation definitely impacted the last two episodes, but overall it gave us some very good basis for following seasons! Ep8 clearly sets up some plots points of TGH and TDR, characters were moving, Rosamund Pike is absolutely amazing...

Nov 19, 2021Scratches the itch for fantasy in a way that most shows miss the mark these days.

Nov 21, 2021A fantastic start to the ADAPTATION of Robert Jordan's epic.
If you're going in expecting a word for word retread, you're going to be sorely disappointed and at that point I'd encourage you to go and look up what the word 'Adaptation' actually means
Good visuals, strong soundtrack, incredible acting -

Nov 21, 2021Amazing! A sure to be hit for years to come. The quality of production is on par with any epic fantasy adapted plus the use of magic. I can see this series Hitting it’s stride around episode 6 and the final 2 are sure to be a blockbuster!
-
Nov 21, 2021Really don't get the 'Game of Thrones clone' comments being made considering Robert Jordan wrote quite a few of the Wheel of Time books well before George RR Martin's A Song of Fire and Ice series... Nitpickers the lots of them... Amazing show so far
-
Nov 21, 2021Great adaptation of the series, casting is great. Loving the the little details for book readers.

Nov 23, 2021An extremely good start to an already excellent book series.
I am looking forward to rest of season 1 -
Nov 21, 2021An amazing job of adapting one of the best fantasy series on the planet. I can envision this adaptation being much better. It will differ from the books, but the core story and the core of who the characters are is very much intact. Well done!

Dec 28, 2021This series gets better a few episodes in. I think it's a beautiful adaptation of the WoT books. I absolutely love it!!

For such a potentially rich series, The Wheel of Time is curiously flat. Little time is spent on character development or exploring the politics, social hierarchy and cultural touchstones of its world. Instead, there are many beautiful, but unnecessary, sweeping shots of scenery and overdramatic, overextended fight scenes.
-
Wheel of Time succeeds in retaining the earnestness and hope that characterize the novels, and which Game of Thrones lacked. But it also offers viewers something new. ... Wheel of Time is more soft touches and sweeping landscapes.
-
While the lavish first season is eventful, it's burdened with clunky exposition, a deficit of whimsy and wonder, and thinly developed characters. [22 Nov - 5 Dec 2021, p.9]
