This sly Britcom is like a C-SPAN spin-off of... The Office. [12 May 2006, p.75]
  2. A wonderful, brilliantly brutal, scathing look at British politics.
  3. Think of "The Office," "Larry Sanders," "Spin City" and "Yes Minister" rolled into one delirious stew.

I was a littleThis is my first Armando Ianucci TV series but I have seen 'the Death of Stalin' so I'm a little familiar with his work. I was a little apprehensive as I thought 'the Death of Stalin' was a bit pretentious. However, I really do quite like 'the Thick of It' and I think it is very good political satire. I'll admit not all of the jokes land and, at times, it can feel a bit immature. Despite this, there's enough going for it that I'd recommend it to people interested in kinda high-brow comedy shows as this does feel very middle class in its comedy if I'm being honest. It's very funny if you're into politics though. Full Review »
