Dec 24, 2016Very Challenging, Quite Disturbing in a Subversive Way, Extremely well written and acted. Not for everyone, but for those who like a good story that unfolds over 8 episodes, well worth the investment. Quite Memorable.

Dec 18, 2016People are saying this series is the new, :Stranger Things". Not even close. It is a 1000% better and far scarier, because a lot of this stuff happens to people all over the world, every single day.
Watch it to the end. You will be affected. -
Dec 17, 2016Rackjaw, TomJasendro don't know what they are talking about. Yes the episodes are longer than usual and slower than most. However if you make it to episode 2.5 you'll be so hooked you can't stop watching. An amazing story with beautiful visuals. Some very talented people worked on this... give it a chance! One of my favs for 2016. Great job netflix and co, keep it up! proud of ya!

Dec 18, 2016It gets a little slow in the middle and I didn't care much for the ending, but other than that this has been the only show I've binge watched. Ever. To me it was just that good. It was like a book I just couldn't put down.

Aug 17, 2017I loved this show, a whole new vibe of fantasy. Poetic, artsy, dark and full of emotion. Great new television! I hope they can keep it up and work to a closing before they can't anymore.

Dec 23, 2016Netflix delivers some crazy **** again. This is really impressive. I like that they don't seem bound by mundane formulaic past success like unwatchable mainstream TV (excluding premium channels).

Dec 18, 2016It's original, not cliché at all, beautiful, well acted, inspiring, risky. New ageish, yes, but honest and not formulaic, much better in that sense than sense 8. Comparing with stranger things is orange and apples. You should watch it while leaving your front door open.

Dec 23, 2016The first episode is riveting, well written and acted. Mysterious with overtones of the supernatural, if you are willing to let it, it draws you in to the story as all good storytelling does, halfway through the second episode and I am glad I took a chance and started watching this but can they keep it up for a whole season, I look forward to finding out.

May 20, 2017For the love of God watch this. Don't bother to read up anymore and just watch it. It is incredible! I will never ever forget the feeling I got in the final episode - you know when you get actual physical goosebumps all over your arms you are so amazed? That was the most amazing series I have ever seen. I feel like I want to watch it all over again.

Dec 21, 2016Absolute Gold. What an amazing journey Netflix has given us. The OA isn't another mediocre (in the golden era of TV, there is actually quite peculiar and worth watching shows at this category), it is an original piece of writing craziness mashed with incredible casting and direction.

Jan 2, 2017I've binged it. It's good. The plot is entirely unpredictable, which I love. The acting was great. Jason Isaacs and Phyllis Smith were the best. I just hope they don't ruin it with the bad season 2. I would be entirely satisfied if the series ends with season 1 finale.

Jul 24, 2017The OA is a good show but these people are the most gullible people on the planet. Like you don't even question that maybe she is lying until the final episode. good show just that kind of bothered me

Dec 29, 2016This show is absolutely amazing for all those mystery fans out there, the characters are so good as its a bit similar to stranger things but for adults, as its also mind bending and a lot of twists, I highly recommend to watch it even the ones who are not mystery fans.
By the way The OA stands for The Original Angel. -

Jan 4, 2017Série instigante que leva você a reflexões boas. Série muito bem pensada e com uma fotografia incrÃvel que deve se mais divulgada. Sem contar que a narrativa é incrÃvel.

Jan 5, 2017It is rare that I run into a show that feels so much like magic. While it took some effort to get through the first part of Episode 1 the payoff was well worth it. Please give this magical and super-interesting ride a try.

Mar 23, 2019The show is very intriguing and exciting. At times the show seems needlessly slow but I feel it is all worth it in the end. Definitely setting up some exciting things for season 2.

Jul 1, 2017irretocável, Brilhante, esteticamente lindo, uma serie que veio mudar o que estava formado. estou aguardando loucamente a segunda temporada, netflix fez um ótimo trabalho na serie.

Sep 10, 2017The OA season 1 was nothing short of incredibly captivating and mind-boggling. The dramatic narrative of the main characters mixed with the unexpected sci-fi elements work together in harmony. A beautiful story full of growth, suspense, drama, and more. I couldn't recommend this show more. I can't wait for season 2!
-
Jan 10, 2018Totally original work. Masterful story telling. Really, an unexpected stunner. For some reason, women seem to prefer it more than men. It is the brainchild of a woman, and gives us a wholly new look at a protagonist. Highly recommended.

Feb 6, 2022What a **** ride! It's well paced mystery that unfurls unpredictably and satisfying everything it sets up. Brit is a force to be reckoned with. The story does take many liberties with coincidence that can make you cringe but nonetheless it's very sure of itself and what it wants.

Apr 4, 2019Have never rated a show before, but thought this was unusually creative and well done— both Seasons 1 and 2. Interesting concepts. Excellent performances. Hope they make a Season 3!

Aug 19, 2019Great Movie! Explains and and shows new theories about NDE. What if not just one timeline exists in the universe? What if we can reborn in another timelines - not just in another time and / or space? Good.
-
Aug 19, 2019I have never been so captivated by a show before. I binged the entire season as if it were water and I a woman in the desert. It is amazingly crafted and so creative and the acting is phenomenal.
-
Sep 10, 2019The most creative, beautifully written and acted series out there. Brit and Zal have amazing imaginations. I absolutely love The OA!

May 16, 20201st season is just brilliant.
2nd one is nothing but a pretentious crap.
100% reasonable cancelling, IMO.
Though you can watch 1st season only and pretend that 2nd one does not exist. -

Jan 29, 2021A unique and at times bonkers show that isn't nearly as smart as it thinks it is.

Whether her story is real or the byproduct of extreme trauma is one of many questions at the heart of this haunting, graceful and often frustratingly cryptic series.
-
The less you know about it before going in the better. This is a must-watch series and if a feeling of incompleteness should fill your cavity upon completing it, simply cleanse your palette and start over again.
-
Anchored by a spectacular central performance and a series of increasingly wacky ideas, The OA is frequently mind-boggling, but worth the effort.
