    The Messengers is an appealing and entertaining cross between “Heroes” and “Supernatural” and has the potential to be just the hit The CW needs and viewers deserve.

    With such a complicated subject matter, The Messengers certainly has its work cut out for it to stay coherent while still staying accessible. But the pilot moves briskly enough, keeping up the desire to learn how these people deal with their newfound powers and identities, and how they will react when The Man comes a-calling.

    There is some hokum in the pilot, including the odd B-movie line ("This could be a very important scientific site") and the red glowing eyes that ever signify evil. But it is smartly assembled--Stephen Williams, who directed 26 episodes of "Lost," made the good-looking pilot--and there may be enough gas in these characters to get them somewhere interesting.

    After 5 episodes I gotta say this show is turning out even better than I initially thought.     I've watched the first three episodes of this new series and have to say that I really, really enjoy it. Don't normally write reviews butI've watched the first three episodes of this new series and have to say that I really, really enjoy it. Don't normally write reviews but after seeing the confusing negativity from two other individuals, I felt the need to do so. Sure, this involves a religious storyline and will apparently turn some people off who feel some weird need to "stand out" by denouncing anything religious because they think it's the "cool thing to do". This is a genuinely enjoyable television show, up to this point and one that people should definitely invest at least 45 minutes or so in to check out on their own instead of taking the word from some sad, whiny hipster who lives in his mom's basement. Seriously, the screen names is "BlackTag666"...I wonder why you dislike a show based on religion, guy. hahaha As for the other reviewer, I'm not really sure what was "murky, uninteresting and very unclear"...reminds me of an ex I had that would repeatedly loudly ask what was happening every 5 minutes during a movie. lol It's a very interesting show with good actors, an interesting storyline and is incredibly easy to follow. Give it a chance and I hope to see it stick around for a while if the writers can manage to keep it as interesting as it currently is. Thanks for reading!… Full Review »
