My summary in short from the first episode: Disney raises TV Series to a new Level.
I have rarely seen an episode so grasping like the first episode of The Mandalorian. Technically, it was top notch, the CGI, monsters etc. look like in the cinema. The main character is just how you would expect the bounty hunter from Star Wars. He plays wonderfully that hard kind of character with a dark past, but also with a sense of humor in some scenes which makes it so brisk. It's hardly an "everyday" character that you could compare with from other TV Series...
From the action, it starts quite heavy and fast paced in this first episode. Normally, you see lots of story "fillers" where things happen that not really drive on the main story, just to "fill" out some time probably to reduce costs or due to missing episode ideas. But here to be honest, its so full of nice moments, you could easily have made a movie from this episode. Maybe the will do one some day... B I just have to say I loved this episode and I hope they keep up the quality in further episodes..

It created strong characters that you care for, relate to and want to know more of. This is especially praiseworthy because the Mandalorian played by Pedro Pascal always wears his helmet. It works because it follows the “Show not tell” rule. You get everything by his body language, voice and even hesitation in some situations. The show is much like Sergio Leones western where they speak not much but the scenery, mimic, expressions and pacing fills the gaps more than enough. Then there is the strong additional cast. Lets start with “Baby Yoda” who is named officially as the child but the first name sticks to the character and will be used. He is mostly practical effects by puppeteers and works amazing. Strong chemistry with the cast. Carl Weathers as leader of the bounty hunter guild is a master scoundrel, trickster and interesting character. IG-11 the bounty hunting droid steals the show and he won me over. Kuiil by Nick Nolte is another favorite. Great backstory, smart and a noble soul;“I have spoken”;-). With former rebel shock trooper Cara Dune played by Gina Carano we have a strong addition to the cast. She is smart, kicks as and will win you over easily. Bonus points for Emily Swallow as The Armorer, Giancarlo Esposito as Moff Gideon who you will love to hate and others I wont spoil. The story is pretty good and it gets better and better as new characters were introduced, you learn more backstories and the development / interactions start. It starts with the Mandalorian picking a special bounty hunt that is granted under the table. He did not know that this changes his life drastically. More I will not spoil. It is also the lore and world-building that improves the show. The Mandalorian codex (This is the way), the outskirts of the Star Wars galaxy that are mostly abandoned by law, the bounty hunters (and their guild) and the remains of the Empire are grabbing your attention. There are also underlying philosophical aspects that can be argued about. Good vs evil and shades of gray of this. Nature and nurture or parenting and family. The sets and special effects are also top notch and I think they did an excellent job. Overall this has hearth, soul, great characters and you always feel engaged and want more. Easily a 10/10 and I am hyped for season two. That is the way and I have spoken;-). Expand

This show's premiere was amazing.

Story has me hooked so far and the role of Mandalorian culture is really refreshing change in Star Wars stories. Acting is all around amazing, being it the protagonist being Mandalorian or troopers being troopers but with soul. Atmosphere is spaghetti western like, which is perfect for telling Star Wars Bounty Hunter stories. I thought I would miss Boba Fett, but so far the show's protagonist has been amazing. Good amount of laughs and "wow's" during the first episode. 10/10

It reminds me more of Star Wars than Star Wars. Its grimey, action packed and full of adventure. The musical score is a incredible mix of electronic / brass instrumental and something new to the franchise that I absolutely welcome. All of the acting is great and they have brought back many of the alien races from the original trilogies (instead of not showing barely any! *cough* *cough* episodes 789). If you enjoy watching straight up adventure (without all of the politics or different plots following different characters mess) this nails it straight on the head and you will love it. Hands down the best thing that has happened to Star Wars since the original trilogy. These guys get it! Expand

Excellent visuals, well played characters, and the seriesSolid, uncompromising, and raw. The Mandalorian feels like something new, in that it adds to the universe of Star Wars, instead of being a repeat of other works within the universe. Excellent visuals, well played characters, and the series does not seem bothered by superfluous, too explanatory dialogue (like many other tv-series seem to be these days). The Mandalorian takes its time, but in the good sense of the word, as it allows its narrative and characters to unfold, and we get to know them mostly through their actions. I thoroughly enjoyed this first season, and look forward to more. Expand

I would give it more than 10 if I could. And the music, love it.... They pushed girl power on us again, it’s hollywood though. They can chill a bit with girl power stuff. The Mandalorian Release Date: 12 November 2019

Episodes: 16 so far

Runtime Each Episode: 1 hour

The Main Storyline: After the Events of Return of the Jedi and After the stories of Jango and Boba Fett, another warrior emerges in the Star Wars universe. The Mandalorian is set after the fall of the Empire and before the emergence of the First Order. We follow the travails of a lone gunfighter in the outer reaches of the galaxy far from the authority of the New Republic.

Pedro Pascal Is the best to play The Mandalorian and my Favourite Character is The Mandalorian, Grogu and Galactic Empire Stormtroopers. It’s the first Spin-Off TV Show of the Star Wars Franchise

It’s got Action, Adventure, Drama and Sci-Fi in it

I enjoyed watching all Episodes in the Series on Disney+ but it’s really exciting.

All of them are really awesome. It’s a Disney Star Wars Masterpiece I give it 10/10

Thanks for Reading

The show is a about a Mandalorian bounty hunter (voiced by Pedro Pascal) who finds things taking a turn when he takes the assignment to retrieve a mysterious individual. This is just a fantastic work of television!

This show looks great. It costs 15 mil per episode and definitely looks it. It has the original Star Wars trilogy appearance with a wild Wild West feel. There are a handful of great visual decisions. Also, I don't want to spoil anything but be sure to see the ending credits.

The music is really, really good. Again blending Star Wars and the Wild West.

There is just some really good dialogue. Though this is a more serious SW entry like Rogue One, it also has some decent humorous lines. Since the titular Mandalorian is a man of few words, this is one of those shows that can do a lot with a little dialogue in parts.

Though the cast is mostly just the Mandalorian, we get an excellent rotation of likable characters and actors. You may see some faces you'll recognize and won't suspect. It's especially refreshing to see Carl Weathers (Rocky, Predator) back in the spotlight as the head of the mercenary guild.

There are a couple things that appear to be an issue for several people online. First off: though the show does have a narrative through line, there is a heavy emphasis on episodic stories. I guess some people who saw the trailers were expecting one big epic tale and were disappointed. Personally, I didn't mind as they were entertaining stories. Although, I wouldn't have appreciated a little more revelation for a mysteries that was introduced early on. (I hate it when we have questions all season long and realize we have to wait until at least another season for answers.) The finale serves as a pretty strong wrap-up.

Second: Short episode length, 30-43 min. Admittedly, it'd be nice to have more Star Wars content, but it's nice that the show is straight-to-the-point and doesn't feel like it's trying to fill time.

There are a couple other issues. There are two times where a couple story elements feel like straight up copies of existing western/samurai films. Also, there is an aspect of Mandalorian culture in this that seems to conflict with how we've seen them portrayed in Star Wars Clone Wars and Star Wars Rebels without explanation. The fact that Dave Filoni, the showrunner of the two shows, is an executive producer, director, and writer on this which makes the difference even more surprising.

Jon Favreau (director of Iron Man and the recent Jungle Book) created this and he really brings his A-game. This is a highly entertaining, fairly quick watch, and I highly recommend this.

It just gives the whole story more weight and you will connect better with characters, locations and story threads. If they keep the quality and don't bring in too much of the old lore (like connecting everything to every movie, book, video game...), I really see that tv shows suits Star Wars better than movies, especially if they are directed by people with so much passion and respect for the legacy. This show is proof that Disney is capable of making amazing Star Wars. The main thing that works in the show's favor is how simple it is. The main problem with the sequel trilogy is that it tried shoving so much down people's throats that it made them hard to bear. With Mandalorian, it takes it time to tell its story and take its time fleshing out Mando (played excellently by Pedro Pascal). Also, this show has a very cinematic quality to it, and that's not just talking about the visual effects; the cinematography, the storytelling and the editing feel as that of a film. The Mandalorian is the best thing to happen to Star Wars right now. Even if you aren't a Star Wars fan, you will have a good time with this show. I understand if you don't want to support Disney+, but give it a shot. You won't regret it. Expand

Such a great series! It sort of sags in the middle, but even those episodes are good. Ignore the negative reviews and look at rotten tomatoes for a more accurate score. My biggest critique is that it's not long enough.

I kind of lost hope with their Star Wars making capabilities but man did they do a great first episode. You finally got to se a bounty droid which you have only seen in the animated Star Wars series. And the main character is such a badass. Just what Star Wars needs(because they literary killed of all the fools characters....only chewie) good job and keep upp the good work and don’t fail me with rise of skywalker Expand

This is even more impressive considering this is Star Wars' first live action show. It contains elements from all aspects of the Star Wars universe to appeal to all fans which is something I can deeply appreciate. Its use of dialogue (or lack there of) was at first something that took me back, but then as the show progressed I saw how this was intentional as the silence conveys more than it seems. The music is phenomenal, its sci-fi action mixed with western drama sets the mood the whole way through. I have to say that for once, Disney out did itself in making this piece. Expand

I'm a life long Star Wars fan and truly hated the direction Disney took Star Wars. The feminist, social warrior, shabby writing, and character assassination Kathleen Kennedy has committed will never be forgotten. I despised every single movie they have created... but this is different.
I really really enjoyed this. The Mandalorians are my favorite thing in Star Wars and always have been. I was nervous to watch this... but i'm truly impressed. It's gritty and creative... it's just what the dying franchise needs.

This review contains spoilers, click expand to view. The Mandalorian has been one of the most anticipated shows in the 2019 year on the new on-demand streaming service, Disney Plus. For the monthly cost of $6.99 a month, subscribers are able to watch the show. However, is it worth the hype? The Mandalorian brings a new type of genre to television and does it impressively. This space western show introduces you to Din Djarn, the Bounty Hunter and Mandalorian. He is a mysterious and maverick person, who was at first reckless then became prudent when he met a certain bounty, the child.
The child was certainly a show stopper in both the show and in real life. Din Djarn decides to take the responsibility of caring for the child when he realizes that the whole galaxy is after him. Along this journey, the Mandalorian meets strong characters that help him in his present and future journeys. Characters such as Cara Dune (shown below), is not in every episode. However, when she is, she is critical to the situation. This show was directed towards Star Wars fans. However, it became much more popular to not only Star Wars fans, but to almost everyone who owns Disney Plus. Not only Star Wars fans would be impressed, but normal TV watchers would be too. Critics raved on how impressed they were with the show, rating it a 95% on Rotten Tomatoes. Many focused their compliments on the characters. Watchers were impressed with the Mandalorian’s character specifically, and the transformation of his character throughout the first season. They were also impressed by one of the stars of the show, Baby Yoda. The innocent child stole the hearts of all the watchers and will continue throughout the series.
The Mandalorian takes you into worlds and stories that go beyond the Star Wars universe. It introduces you to a brave yet maverick Mandalorian, who is just trying to make a living in the galaxy yet his life gets crashed by a mischievous yet adorable child. It takes you on an unexpected yet incredible journey. So make sure to click on The Mandalorian next time you are on Disney plus, because as Din Djarren would say “This is the way”.

There wasn’t a single episode in both seasons that I didn’t like and I enjoyed all of them to some degree. The beauty of it is, it has fan service for both the prequel fans and the original trilogy fans while also appealing to an audience who may not know a lot about Star Wars. The entire series is an example of what Star Wars is like when written and created by people who care about the franchise, other than the disaster that was the sequel trilogy (Mainly episodes VIII and IX). The $7.99 Disney plus subscription is worth it, and there are more seasons and episodes on the way to keep you anticipated. Expand
