Mando won't be able to do anything with Grogu for when he grows up. Season 1 gets a 7. Not bad. Season 2 gets a 9. Best season by far. Mando is such an epic character. Chapter 16 (Ep. 8) is just amazing. Season 3 gets a 7. It does not keep the show's pace. Chapter 20 was so intense, one of my favourites for sure. The last one was amazing too, loved the action scenes. This is the way. Expand

This show has turned to complete poopybutt when Mando appeared in "the book of Boba Fett" and took a turn to utter ridiculousness in season 3.
This show should be called "The Womandalorian" for how they treat Mando in season 3. In fact, he isn't even the main character anymore. Bo-Katarn is and she constantly cu()cks Mando out of his role. Seriously, fk her and fk this "strong female character" bull. All this woke feminist pc diversity inclusion plague can kiss my fkn behind.

My advice if you really want to watch it, stop after season 2 and never watch the Boba Fett shi()tshow.
Even better advice: stop watching anything modern Disney.
Woke garbage is all they release these days.

Season 1: 6/10
Season 2: 5/10 (the last episode is 9/10 tho)
Season 3: 0/10

Consequently 3/10

This was the last good Star Wars show, the only one that made Disney any profit (everything else was a well deserved colossal financial failure) and they ruined it. This is what you get for not listening to the millions of (paying) fans and instead follow the extremist woke cult that doesn't even watch your movies. Enjoy going broke Disney, you idiots.

Continuing in the not-so-recent Walt Disney custom of terrible plot points, horrible pacing, lack of suspense and, to top it all off, a narcissistic need to ram political ideologies down you and your children’s throats, “Star Wars: TheContinuing in the not-so-recent Walt Disney custom of terrible plot points, horrible pacing, lack of suspense and, to top it all off, a narcissistic need to ram political ideologies down you and your children’s throats, “Star Wars: The Mandalorian” squanders its intriguing premise and massive potential thru a complete lack of creativity, a dumbed down script, and the company’s desperation to make money at the cost of the consumer instead of presenting a proper product. Make no mistake, this Star Wars production falls very much in line with its parent company’s usual procedure: plagiarize from every genre and source of popular media available while carefully avoiding any proper homage to its sources. “The Mandalorian” borrows scenes, dialogue, characters and environments from old westerns as well as endless other sitcoms, movies, and culture references, without making a clear fact of it to the viewer. English teachers and professors across the continental United States are, doubtless, nauseated with their faces in their palms, disheartened and furious at how Jon Favreau and his host of editors could have possibly been hired to write for such a legacy intellectual property while failing to do justice to the English language the way ANY High schooler would.
The fact that much of Disney’s film and television programming is directed at children is NO excuse for pathetic dialogue and poor script writing in their more recent productions. Furthermore, children do NOT need you to dumb down the plot, and past generations of Disney story tellers knew this fact intrinsically: presenting the power of death in “Bambi” and “Up”, family in “Mary Poppins”, romance in “Pocahontas” and the need to mature in “Tarzan” and “The Lion King”. The ancient trope of the Wild West gunman that brings peace to the frontier is lost in “The Mandalorian” as our hero is quickly saddled by “Baby Yoda” and its sudden and immense popularity, which caused Lucasfilm producers and executives to scramble to make a profit at any and all costs. This neo-western suddenly became a nanny’s tale instead of the perilous frontier showdown it was intended to be. Finally, in typical “Woke” fashion, “The Mandalorian” pays little or no respect to its source, losing the gravitas thru narrative which Steven Spielberg perfected in the early “Star Wars” movies, instead choosing to meander meekly thru numerous side characters and unrelated issues. A true anthology series would have presented these stories thru different genres and tones, eventually uniting them seamlessly in an overarching chronicle. This, too, Favreau fails to achieve, as his only homage in the show is to the Jewish diaspora in the guise of the nomadic Mandalorian people, and even this he fails to clarify. Had Lucasfilm hired deserving professionals to handle the story, “The Mandalorian” could have been a fantastic achievement in streaming media. Sadly, it achieves little due to poor handling and a complete lack of creativity from its developers.

This review contains spoilers, click expand to view. The Mandalorians aren't adequately cautious against dragon attacks, and lose one of their young. They then violently attack the dragon, threaten its young, and (indirectly though they bear responsibility) kill the dragon. The Mandalorians are to blame for all this. Sad to see such a large, beautiful creature destroyed. What disrespect for nature. What a terrible lesson for children. Expand

Season 3: It's not a Mandalorian series anymore, it's more like a bad cosplay convention.

The first two seasons were totally amazing, but unfortunately, the third season is a complete joke. Pedro Pascal's Mandalorian has turned into a real dud, just like his character Joel in The Last of Us series. I mean, come on, Pedro, can you please play a hero that actually does something?

And don't get me started on the Mandalorian's pretentious gait. It used to be so cool and mysterious, but now it looks like he's trying to strut down the catwalk. The cinematography that used to make his walk look cool now makes him look like a joke.

The Mandalorian Brotherhood looked like a bunch of cosplay fans in their budget-friendly costumes. The worst part is that the show doesn't even feel like a Mandalorian series anymore. Some episodes revolve around completely different characters, and even when the Mandalorian does show up, he's not even the main focus of the story. It's like they forgot what made the show so great in the first place.

I'm so disappointed that I had to change my rating from 10 stars to one star. This garbage that they call season 3 should have been a completely separate series altogether.

I wish I could rate the third season specifically, but unfortunately, I can't.

Overall, The Mandalorian season 3 is a huge disappointment. I had high hopes for this series, but unfortunately, it has completely missed the mark. If you're a fan of the first two seasons, you might want to skip this one.

Expand

Pedro Paschal (the mandalorian) is great and It must be so hard for a actor to hide his face. Baby Yoda seems to steal the show. All seriousness I have enjoyed it and I’m truly not a Star Wars fan. Set design, costumes, and use of practical effects are all quite well done. Casting is very good, with Pedro Pascal, Giancarlo Esposito, and Gina Carano standing out. The addition of Rosario Dawson as Ahsoka is a really poor choice, she has none of the personality of the character and her entire time onscreen is just grating. The removal of Carano for S3 onward is also going to hurt the show. Everyone else performs adequately or better. The plot is a generally solid episodic crisis of the week format that works through an interesting and satisfying overarching plot for the first 2 seasons.

The Mandalorian Release Date: 12 November 2019

Episodes: 16 so far

Runtime Each Episode: 1 hour

The Main Storyline: After the Events of Return of the Jedi and After the stories of Jango and Boba Fett, another warrior emerges in the Star Wars universe. The Mandalorian is set after the fall of the Empire and before the emergence of the First Order. We follow the travails of a lone gunfighter in the outer reaches of the galaxy far from the authority of the New Republic.

Pedro Pascal Is the best to play The Mandalorian and my Favourite Character is The Mandalorian, Grogu and Galactic Empire Stormtroopers. It’s the first Spin-Off TV Show of the Star Wars Franchise

It’s got Action, Adventure, Drama and Sci-Fi in it

I enjoyed watching all Episodes in the Series on Disney+ but it’s really exciting.

All of them are really awesome. It’s a Disney Star Wars Masterpiece I give it 10/10

Thanks for Reading

This review contains spoilers, click expand to view. The Madalorian Season 1: Now for the last I want to say year I have been running this account I have only done movies, games and music now I’m doing shows. First off this is the main reason most people signed up for Disney+ because of how amazing it looks for a TV show. Not only do we have new characters and new planets to explore but the story is amazingly written by the guy who helped make the MCU Jon Favreu. The way he just tells a amazing story with characters you want to see successfully save Baby Yoda. Pedro Pascal does a fantastic job as the Mandalorian and everyone of the cast is great too. I can’t even explain the last episode of how it does comedy and action together because it was directed by the person who directed Thor Ragnorak. If you aren’t the 10 million people who signed up just for this show do it right now it’s so worth it all the episodes are out now only on Disney+.The Mandalorian Season 2: Up front SPOILER WARNING if you haven’t watched this season skip this review. Well people have said that Disney has ruined Star Wars I beg to differ they have made Star Wars into the one of the best franchises ever. Now spoiler stuff I’m going to go straight into The Jedi Ahsoka Tano is so amazing we have been wanting her to go into live action for over 10 years and they finally did it Rosario Dawson looks so much like her it’s unreal. The makeup is spot on she looks great, getting to Boba Fett played by Tamuera Morrison returning to the role after the garbage Attack of the Clones he plays adult Boba Fett like a dream he’s badass and quick witted. That brings us to the finale LUKE SKYWALKER IS BACK with his green saber and R2D2 is back too amazing. The fighting is amazing, just everything is amazing GO WATCH IT NOW. Ranking Masterpiece. Expand

I actually love how Mando walks and can covey his emotions with out seeing his face!!!! Love his voice and everything about it. CG, costumes, story line, fight scenes. I am in heaven.... I would give it more than 10 if I could. And the music, love it.... They pushed girl power on us again, it’s hollywood though. They can chill a bit with girl power stuff. But it’s incredibly entertaining. Bravo to the cast crew and director ....and this is coming from a girl who hated Aqua man and Wonder-woman!!! Expand

But thisThe Mandalorian is easily the best Star Wars material Disney have ever produced since their acquisition of Lucasfilm. The new film trilogy and the Solo movie are all to be avoided like the plague, whereas Rogue One was pretty good. But this TV series is on a wholly another level. It's more like what Star Wars should be, than the Episodes 7/8/9 combined.

The Mandalorian is structured more like a western cowboy TV series than a space adventure. The titular Mandalorian (aka "Mando") played by Pedro Pascal is very reminiscent of Clint Eastwood's Man With No Name character from the Sergio Leone spaghetti western movies of the 1960s. Just like Eastwood's character lacked a name, Pascal's Mando constantly hides his face behind a helmet, adding to the surrounding mystery of who he is. Both characters are self-serving bounty hunters and very good sharpshooters. And when the need arises, they can be helpful to others as well.

This show introduced us to the Child aka "Baby Yoda" (later revealed to be named Grogu). The Child is an infant with latent Force powers who can help with the Force from time to time, and has to be returned to his people by Mando.

The Mandalorian series has also spawned several cultural memes, particularly the Mandalorian warriors' motto "This Is The Way", and The Child itself due to its cuteness.

So far there have been 2 seasons, both of them excellent. Can't wait for Season 3.

Disney should stop focusing on the jedi because, let's be honest, we saw everything about that and this exactly what "The Madalorian" does. It's just a guy who try to survive in the middle of this enormus galaxy and who end up showing that he have a heart. There is a real stress for him because he can't just destroy everything with his lightsaber, he have to be smarter every time and he just fight for someone he care about, that why you want him to succed. Everything is good, the environnement who just make you want to explore more, the characters who all have they personnalities (never just good or bad, always grey), it's fell like they really had a life before all this and you want to know more. The camera, the story and the music do all the work because when you have a green baby starring at a guys with a helmet, you don't have much to work with, emotionnally speaking (I really like Pedro Pascal, I'm joking). If all of that didn't convince you to watch it, I don't know what to tell you man, you definitively don't like Star Wars...

P.S : SPOILER : Clap clap for Disney who is the only story creator who can make me feel emotionnal about two f*** toads reuniting, good job ! XD

I've been stunned by its soundtrack, a slow pace, beautiful landscapes, camera angles, Baby Yoda, characters and their stories, especially a spaghetti western spirit and the original trilogy vibe. Jon Favreau and Dave Filoni have done an amazing job and I highly appreciate that.

The Mandalorian is extended for the season 3... this fact scares me a little. The story has a great ending! I don't need a continuation, knowing Disney may create another conveyor, especially after the latest Star Wars trilogy fail.

Nonetheless, the first two The Mandalorian seasons are amazing.

Season 2:

So much potential here but apart from a select few episodes it seems the creators mailed it in and essentially went with the super hero formula. Why is there a need to make him so likeable with the whole I must save Grogu thing?

The first episode intrigued me as I thought opposed to some walk-on-water holier than thou Jedi the Mandalorian might be a more shades of grey relatable individual who begrudgingly must rely on others lest he face real peril like the Mudhorn. Instead most of the first two seasons is the superhero Mandalorian escaping certain doom time and again if for no other reason than the sheer haplessness of the Imperials. We can give the original movies a pass on this what being produced in the 80s and all but when a storm trooper with a blaster in hand runs right up behind the assailant rather than shooting them I just tune out. And could Moth Gidian and the Dark Troopers have been more of a let down? Why can't the Empire even the score, it worked fine in ESB. Also I get the whole girl-power thing but it's so overt in this show as to be off-putting. How many episodes have to involve Gina Corano's large posterior just so they can check the female hero box? Oh and the Asian assassin whose name escapes me and who has been on the lam in the dessert of Tattooine for weeks but has nary a blemish or stain on that super fashionable black jump suit that I am sure is well suited to the climate she finds herself in; yeah very believable. And the female blue Mandalorians../facepalm. And if we are so bent on girl-power why not inject even a hint of romance between one of them and the Mandalorian or do we just assume all the characters are a-sexual as their wardrobe choices suggest? Rebels and Imperials alike enjoy sitting back in the old canteen enjoying a Correllian Ale; don't any of them actually ever have sex? If that is the case how are there so many kids in that village that our superhero must save in that one forgettable episode. I give it a 6/10 as certain episodes like the Mudhorn and the sand dragon were very well done and movie quality. Also Werner Herzog was great in his limited role they should have utilized him more prominently.

This review contains spoilers, click expand to view. Very good story concept established in season 1, with characters and atmosphere of its own. Why I'm not drawn to this show is because it caters to the hardcore Star Wars nerds. I grew up with Star Wars, but I don't have an unhealthy close-minded attachment and self-inclined ownership over the kind of Star Wars I demand for. The dialogue is very cheesy in an over-serious way that comes off as cringe. Mandalorian has some terrific set-pieces with an intriguing premise, but it's expanding on a lot of fan-fictional ideas that lack integral limitations.

So many fans complained about Disney's Star Wars sequel trilogy, especially toward Rian Johnson & JJ Abrams for not understanding the lore and undercutting its own legacy. Yet, all the whacked ideas in the expanded universe are not deemed mischief? I call that hypocrisy. Filoni and Favreau have done some good work, but they aren't innovators, but rather caterers of a socialist regime. Written and directed by.. The audience, for they dictate our philosophical approach.

I don't have an issue with nostalgia and fan service. Seeing Luke, Boba Fett and Ashoka throwdown is epic, but it's how the show is filmed where it loses me. It looks like a fan-film, shot by hardcore nerds. The framing is too tacky. The story is evolving into a pandering act of forgiveness. Season 1 I respected, season 2 is like a parent giving their kids all the candy instead of telling them to just take one. The show's ambiguous minimal journey of the bounty hunter and the child holds an emotional resonance between them. Other than that, you aren't missing much.

While the mood and feel of the show is cool, there is really very limited next to none character arcs or even storyline arcs of note. It is heavily monotone, achieving little in the way of drama. It is hard to justify it as a tv series, perhaps a 3 episode miniseries would have been enough.

Again, it is difficult not to like the Mandalorian because the few things it does have going for it, it does very well, but it's very far from must see tv. A generous 6.5/10 from me.

In amongst the relentless fan service it's a very generic western that just happens to be set in the Star Wars universe. The main character is bland. The supporting characters are forgettable stereotypes. The IG88 droid is completely overpowered, I honestly have no idea why the separatists didn't win the clone wars when a single droid can wipe out hundreds of stormtroopers on their own. The way the droid rode in and saved the day in S01E08 against a small army of crack imperial troops was ridiculous. Baby yoda is somehow still alive even though they can't communicate with him, don't know what he eats and never wash him or change his clothes. It's just Disney cashing in on the Star Wars franchise, just re-using material from the original movies and adding nothing new. The fact that they are using original trilogy and prequel characters and ignoring the sequels pretty much says it all. There is absolutely nothing new or original here, the universe is not expanding with the mouse at the helm. Expand

This review contains spoilers, click expand to view. The Mandalorian is a breath of fresh air for the Star Wars IP. It has likable characters like Dyn Jarren (the Mandalorian), the main protagonist, and Grogu (baby Yoda). Dyn Jarren has understandable motives and doesn't just do things because the writer wants him to. The understanding you get for the characters makes them believable and the allusion that the Star Wars world and the story are real. It never just takes you out of the story and makes you question what is happening. Everything just makes sense. You also want to root for the protagonists, because they aren't bland, irrational, or perfect. They make mistakes and deal with consequences. But for me, an important element is the visuals, and they are stunning! Both CGI and the scenies. Sceneries I especially liked were: the fisherman town/city (S.2 E.3) and the junkyard (s.2 E.7). The series just shows you a different side of the huge Star Wars galaxy. It shows you a gritty side of it. The story is also pretty good. I didn't notice any plot holes, but the story is also not very innovative.

All in all the Mandalorian is a really good new story, and it is a must-watch for any Star Wars fan, but can also be enjoyed by non-Star Wars fans. It is definitely better than Star Wars episode 8 and 9 together, but what isn't better than these films are? ;)

There wasn’t a single episode in both seasons that I didn’t like and I enjoyed all of them to some degree. The beauty of it is, it has fan service for both the prequel fans and the original trilogy fans while also appealing to an audience who may not know a lot about Star Wars. The entire series is an example of what Star Wars is like when written and created by people who care about the franchise, other than the disaster that was the sequel trilogy (Mainly episodes VIII and IX). The $7.99 Disney plus subscription is worth it, and there are more seasons and episodes on the way to keep you anticipated. Expand

This review contains spoilers, click expand to view. I watched up to S2E6. This is pure amazing unadulterated fun badass action. It deserves a 10. I give it 9 because the beginning is a bit slow and after watching 3 episodes I thought it was boring. But I gave it a second chance after hearing people's comments and I'm happy I did. This is the BEST STAR WARS I've seen, up there with the first trilogy (but with faaaaar better effects)

At first is catches by surprise because it's not the typical Star Wars. It's a western set in SW universe. You have to get used to it. By S1E5 I was already hooked. The action scenes are so well done

The episode twists are so cool

The main character is a total badass at the level of Rambo and the secondary cast is really great.

The pacing is excellent.

Baby Yoda is the first cute SW creature which is not annoying.

There are funny scenes which parody SW without being cringey or feeling forced or too much. It is particularly funny to see how deliberately useless the regular stormtroopers are. There is a particular scene where they're trying to aim and shoot at something and they don't hit even once.

The evil guy is over-the-top on your face evil but without being too much.

The only thing I felt a bit lacking is that almost no background is given to Bo Katan and Ahsoka Tano. However I understand that their story is already developed somwhere else.

The only thing I didn't like is a certain fight between a fully trained jedi knight and what I understood to be a regular human. The jedi and the human where kind of matched in terms of skill. That didn't seem to make sense as jedi have super human skills and no creature that can use the force should in theory match a master in the use of the force (except perhaps a Mandalorian?).

I hope they continue producing this quality stuff, because this is through the roof.

Disney has just convinced me to be happy about them buying all these licences. If they do this good, please keep on buying stuff...

Great show! No forced romances, not **** just straight forward great entertainment. Looking forward to season 2!

Finally some good StarWars content, wouldn't have believed this was possible after the new trilogie sucked so bad... but here we are.

A good story about a Mandalorian bounty hunter and a young baby "Yoda" trying to reach a (or their) goal together!

Nothing like the Woke stuff that is called the Sequel Trilogy.

This Series came out of no where. And didn't disappoint. Eagerly waiting for the next episode each time. It's very fresh. A good move to re introduce Star Wars Universe to the younger generations.

Wonderful saga that managed to recover the essence of Star Wars. Thanks Jon Favreau and Dave Filoni.
