Well done. Met my expectations, and I'm looking forward to more. Good mix of practical and cg fx. The environments feel gritty and bleak so far, which is great. The important characters are very well done, and I dig the representation of familiar species from the Star Wars film universe.

The creators don't even try. Besides lead project of Disney's platform looks very cheap and has series of 30 min. long and it's in 2020.

Classic Star Wars back in style. All the atmosphere you would expect from a series centered on a bounty hunter. The soundtrack is superb, the tone is appropriate, and the pace is sufficient. I'm really happy that they aren't overdoing it with 1hr15min episodes like Game of Thrones which, while entertaining, often dragged on for 15-20 minutes too long every episode--too much filler. Episode 2 will give us a better feel for how the pacing of the entire series will go, but I like what I see so far.

Keep in mind there are going to be a large number of people so anti-Disney that they will never give this series an objective review. Most of the gatekeeper complaints are, as per usual, from so-called "fanboys" who seem to have lost touch with what Star Wars has always been. They want it to be dark, gritty, rated R. Ironically these will be the same fanboys that defend Lucas' more controversial decisions, yet one thing Lucas was always adamant about was Star Wars being primarily for kids. KIDS. Not teenagers, not YA, not 40 year-old angry neckbeards. KIDS.

This is as close to what Star Wars should be. I've been waiting for this since Return of the Jedi. It has the right feel, the right characters and the look. Very happy so far. Who knew Jawas were such a-holes!

This show is just plain awesome. After the travesty of the last couple of movies and no doubt the next one, this show is the only thing keeping the star wars universe alive for me. Would like some more depth and backstory to the characters and show but hoping that will come soon. I think I speak for everyone when I say they had better include the darksaber at some point in this series!

Astonished that it is actually good.

After Disney destroying star wars with trash films that are as cancer eating away at the soul of the franchise... there is a glimmer of hope with The Mandolorian. Having finished episode 3 I can say the whole family loves it... exciting, engaging, action packed with good values and heroic undertones. The Western vibe is fantastic and the subtle nods

Really good stuff, and leaves the recent ill fated trilogy of films in the dust.

This is formulaic and boring. Every episode either an old friend or old foe arrives to save or ruin the day, and is defeated or runs off. When an old and tired Boba Fett arrived I literally rolled my eyes and thought, so this is how they plan to carry this episode, by reminding us again that this is a franchise that we liked once. Love the style of the show. It's gritty but not to the point that you can't watch it with your kids. It definitely has that "star wars" feel to it's production. I enjoyed the character progression of mando, how he begins the show seeming to want to just exist as a bounty hunter, but by the end of the show he has new priorities. I hope they continue down this road in season 2.

If you were looking for something dark, vulgar, and for adults. This is "star wars", obviously Disney is not going to produce that kind of show. Seems quite hilarious reading some reviews here that list this as a con and give a low rating. Seems a little unfair.

The Mandalorian Season 1 introduces us to a Star Wars that we have never seen. While it drags in the middle of the season it still builds to a satisfying ending.

La verdad que iba con precaución para no llevarme un chasco, pero me he encontrado con un capítulo muy ameno, muy bien dirigido, con efectos especiales buenos para ser una serie y un final que te deja el culo roto.

Even when the first scene can give you the sense that you are going to see another retelling of the same star wars story, the strength of the show is actually that it is not original star wars with a younger cast like in the Disney movies. Also the costumes and locations don't look cheap, the cgi maybe, but that is part of the sw universe too haha

Also i must show the good cast and the amazing Pedro Pascal´s interpretation.

For example a character would die at the end of one episode and the first scene in the next one there would be a VERY funny scene. The show overall added some great thing to the lore and expanded upon other things in the lore as well. The way they use the force was so amazing. Also baby Yoda might be the greatest character ever created in the star wars universe.

The character design and behavior seem very true to the previous star wars installments with a modern take so as to not seem overly pandering to original fans.

Where most of the films tie themselves in knots keeping up with the family travails of Skywalkers and Palpatines, The Mandalorian operates in relative solitude. ... Favreau keeps things just the right side of schmaltzy, while also creating a more textured universe than we are used to.

Its issues hew toward the fundamentals of direction, performance, and dialogue, more problems of basic filmmaking skill than miscalculated vision. Favreau started from a more specific, vivid place than in his jobs for Marvel or on Disney’s wretched Lion King remake. Unlike his nomadic antihero, however, he doesn’t take it much of anywhere.
