Sep 12, 2022I think there is too much hate . Just enjoy the show . The cgi is amazing and acting isn't bad at all and actually it is good. Characters looks interesting so far and galadriel is great . Very good for the first 2 episodes .

Sep 12, 2022Very enjoyable show so far. It looks amazing and some of the cast are really good (especially nori). Actually one of the best series in years.
-
Sep 12, 2022Considering the budget and hype about this show, so far it has been just plain boring.
-
Sep 12, 2022This is some of the most absolute boring stuff I've ever seen. They are ungodly promoters of "the message" . Bad diolauge, bad actors and actresses, and awful destruction of Tolkien's beautiful work. It's a shame shows are allowed to even be made like this. Go ahead and just keep reading Tolkien's books.
-
Sep 12, 2022The characters and story are weak, the conversations could be written by a 10 year old. Amazon wonders why the show gets bad reviews and blames it on "review bombing". Ridiculous.

Sep 12, 2022So good, I'm so excited and looking forward to viewing more episodes, best thing on tv right now.
-
Sep 12, 2022Flimsy cardboard cutouts set in a diorama of superficial beauty. Inconsistent tone, inane dialogue, disregard for the source material, and an aura of soullessness. It's bewildering how something so expensive could feel so cheap. Stick with Peter Jackson or read the books.
-
Sep 2, 2022This is not Tolkien. This is not Lord of the Rings. Promoting modern politics where it is absolutely unnecessary has become the personal signature of all modern screenwriters. That's all.

Sep 11, 2022No vale ni como salva pantallas. Actores malos. Guión malo. Coincidencias con Tolkien son pura coincidencia. Cgi 5 min bien luego aburre igual que los diálogos hechos para gente de 7 años. El sonido se hace pesado

Sep 10, 2022Good CGI. Terrible script, casting and acting. Definitely NOT LOTR! What is up with Amazon scrubbing/hiding bad reviews? Everyone trying to say all the bad reviews are review bombing, but most I have read are pretty well thought out. If anything most of the 10’s read more like bots to me.

Sep 10, 2022Review bombing has turned into a bloody hobby. My goodness gracious people have the attention span of a rock these days.
Stop **** looking and start watching. Shows decent as hell. -

-
Sep 10, 2022Reeeally should've taken a page out of Peter Jackson's book and made a show true to Tolkien not true to whatever whims blowing through Hollywood at the moment.
-
Sep 10, 20223 ⭐ Nickelod--n show. if you take away the visuals you're leget with a 2 ⭐ show. Beyond rotten, unfortunately, fermented

Sep 10, 2022Didn't like it. It's badly written and the black elf actor ruins every scene he's in. This show spits at Tolkien's legacy.
If you're a Twitter SJW, a Marxist, an Anglophobe, an Amazon shill or just someone who laps up woke content and doesn't care about quality you'll love this. -

Sep 10, 2022Everything is terrible in this piece of **** starting with the script and directing, ending with the selection of actors and their acting. A mediocre product from mediocre people...
-
Sep 10, 2022I used to giving this show 0 points now after watching 3 episodes I'm starting to like or at least tolerate southern elves and numenor visuals. I try stay positive so i give "2" because I care more about plot as nice visuals and CGI. Episodes are still too long and quite boring after half an hour. OF course I dont try see it as Tolkiens adaptation only random fantasy show with catchy names.
-
Sep 10, 2022Good entertainment, visually stunning. The cast is great - exactly the way I'd want it to be for an entertainment product in 2022.
-
Sep 9, 2022Mega cursy. I made my honest effort to see the first two parts and just didn’t pass it.

-
Sep 9, 2022Not sure what this is but is isn't LOTR. With the money involved Amazon should have created it's own brand new fantasy series. Obvious money grab riding on the coattails of Peter Jackson's excellent epics and the LOTR books. Dull all around. Dull acting. Dull music. Dull writing. Dull choreography.

Sep 9, 2022The acting is poor. The writing is terrible. I feel like the amount of money spent on this travesty of show should have better effects. The main thing missing from this Tolkien story is...Tolkien. This is a terrible show. Just watch something else.
-
Sep 9, 2022Thought the writing acting and overall pace was very poor. Plus the characters are just not very convincing
-
Sep 9, 2022I absolutely HATE IT. The cast is sexist and the main actress is terrible in my opinion.
-

Sep 9, 2022Uninspired, boring work. Terrible dialogue, everything looks cheap, and the characters are not great. Stay away
-
Sep 4, 2022Total disrespect for the lore. Crap writing. High-school type theatre acting and boring and ugly characters. It would even be bad for a generic fantasy show, even the musical score is bland. The only good thing I'd give it so far some of the CGI effects, at least some of the money went into that... but the rest... oh lord, is all off the mark.

Sep 4, 2022Awful, bad acting, rubbish dialogue, stupid plot. Nothing like Tolkien's original work.
-
Sep 9, 2022Three episodes. All it took to reveal this as yet another adaptation, that is only faithful to the original lore in name. At first I was hoping, that they might be potentially showing us few separate timelines, but alas, my expectations were too high. Hope it flops so they can stop butchering Tolkien's work.
Two stars for some of the visuals. -
Sep 8, 2022Visuals are top notch. Too many characters. Really hoping they pick it up in episode 3

Sep 8, 2022Garbage. Filthy, stinking, fly riddled, bloated carcass garbage. Disappointed beyond words by how awful this show has been. The script alone should never have seen the light of day. Throw this show in to the fires of Mount Doom, from whence it came. I can see Agent Smith standing over the lava screaming, "Cast it in to the fire! Destroy it! Bezos!!!!!"

Sep 8, 2022Nothing but a bastardized work lord of the rings pandering to woke diversity and inclusion worth a rating of 0 it's bad writing all around.

Sep 8, 2022it's not about racism that people hated the rings of power; it's because they violated one basic rule of the middle earth universe with no reason but their thrashy political motives.

Sep 8, 2022I thought it was a pretty shallow adaptation of the Second Age. Lots of mediocrity. The cast were meh. Lots of modern politics forced into the story. All in all it's a total failure imo.
-
Sep 8, 2022This is an extreme far left show with a cast of activists who can't act, showrunners who bend the knee to woke capitalism and who spit at Tolkien, and writers who are extremely poor at their chosen craft. This is pure leftist trash.

Sep 8, 2022The cast ruined this for me. Few of them looked like they belonged in the world. A handful were trash. It just goes to show that SJWs shouldn't be allowed anywhere near Tolkien's works, bacause they sully his memory with their woke filth.

Sep 8, 2022They fired they Tolkien expert becourse he had other opinions. They should have insted fired everyone else insted of him.
This is hollow and empty tale, only thing that is good is visuals.
This is Amazons souless creature -
Sep 8, 2022I didn't care for it. All that money spent and they ruin it with a cast of Z listers. The ugly old hobbit creature - you know who I mean - was easily the worst. They really phoned these performances in. Utter dross.

Sep 2, 2022its certainly better than what I expected without the sjw elements could be much better and get 8 instead of 7 I gave it 7 instead of 6 because of the very good cinematography and visuals ... like I said its better than what I expected though I'm anti sjw so I can only give it 7
Well scew sjw and woke I’m giving it 6 anyway **** hate sjw terrorists -
Sep 8, 2022Transphobic rubbish. The lack of an Asian Trans character is the true betrayal of Tolkiens' vision. How amazon can justify this al-right stance is beyond me..
-
Sep 8, 2022The production quality is high and the first two episodes have been a fair prelude of what awaits.
-
Sep 8, 2022It's a boring show with just one more Mary Sue as main character. As a Tolkien's adaptation is completly without soul and essence.
-
Sep 8, 2022Not so bad as I expected, but the plot is boring, the main actress is playing bad
-
Sep 8, 2022I wanted to give it a chance, I really tried...but I was not able to finish the two episodes. Every character is just not interesting, the dialogs are so superficial and boring, and the pace of the move is way to slow, and nothing really happens. I really can't find anything positive aside from the CGI which sometimes seems a bit...too much.
-
Sep 8, 2022We'd been warned that this was going to be garbage. I watched the first eppisode, and it's shockingly bad. The dialogue sounds like it's out of a cop movie, dreadful wire work, I could go on and on about how disappointing this is.

Adar’s début drips with signifiers. ... When Adar informs Arondir in Episode 4 that he has been told many lies, some that “run so deep even the rocks and roads now believe them,” it is still a thrill. Tolkien succeeded in creating a mythic world, one that has now grown vast enough through acts of typological repetition and imitation to conquer television, too.
-
With war brewing and the forging of the rings seemingly still far off, the first half of The Rings of Power’s first season constitutes little more than stage-setting for the struggle to come. Given the lack of quests and central commanding figures, it often makes for less-than-gripping drama. However, given that there are four more seasons already planned, and potentially dozens of new characters to be introduced, the slow and throat-clearing build is possibly a good sign.
-
The Rings of Power is a reminder of what drew many of us to epic fantasy in the first place: wonder. ... This series set in an ancient realm displays one dazzling and painterly landscape after another. Power also doesn't skimp on action. [12 - 25 Sep 2022, p.10]
