Sep 2, 2022Passable and over used CGI. The characters are not recognizable from books I love so dearly. Bad writing and cringy dialog. Costume that stand out and looks cheap. This isn't Tolkien. It more like a generic fantasy then Tolkien high fantasy. There is so much lore breaking. If your a Tolkien fan. This isn't worth your time and you just end up angry

Sep 2, 2022A série deveria ter sido lançada para o YouTube, eles nem deveriam ter gastado nada com Cgi ou atores, seria bem melhor se algum canal de sátiras tivesse feito a série, o nível é muito baixo, é decepcionante.

Sep 2, 2022Hot garbage meets the CW. the show starts slow and stays that way, the characters are terrible, Galadriel is the most Mary Sue/ Karen that has been written, she is meme-worthy how shallow and stupid her story is. The show is just one bad story after another- I'm giving it a 2 for effects.... but this is not Tolkien in any way shape or form= terrible.

Sep 2, 2022cgi isn't all. but you have all the tokens required. stay tuned for more. btw - ep2 is worse than ep1. but it doesn't change anything.
-
Sep 2, 2022Fan fic level of writing, bad acting, short hair elves without any trace of their grace and ethereal, otherworldly aura. Complete mess to be honest. Had a hard time to sit through the whole first episode.
Sad days for us Tolkien fans. -

Sep 2, 2022Perfect, Tolkien would be proud! This is the best adaptation of the century. What a great show!

Sep 2, 2022My girflriend and I were waiting for this show for so long, but after watching were in such bad mood, that we had a fight, my girlfriend left me, because of this trash. Really, politics? Jesus christ, so bad it destroyed Tolkiens work and my future ex wife.

Sep 2, 2022This show is complete woke garbage. It was made only to indoctrinate people into this communist system that media and entertainment wants to transform this country into
-
Sep 2, 2022it's badly acted, the dialogues are bland as **** the casting is bad, the music is bad, I still don't know what the plot is about, everything is all over the place, everything feels very restricted.

Sep 2, 2022Amazing! La serie está a un nivel cinematográfico muy alto. Con ganas de una nueva temporada.

Sep 2, 2022This surly isn’t a 0 or even a 1, it’s got some effort put into the cinematography, costumes and set design. Definitely no where near a 10, your just kidding yourself if you think this is perfect. It’s a boring, overly political mess. This feels like fanfiction, or another fantasy setting wearing the clothes of lord of the rings.

Sep 2, 2022Lamentable que se llegué a esto de tomar un producto de calidad y destrozar la idea original del autor.
-
Sep 2, 2022Completely disrespectful to Tolkien's legacy. Full of woke and political propaganda that Peter Jackson would never have inputted into the show. Written and presented without any creative integrity. If you have any respect for the lore of Tolkien's work, don't even watch this.
-
Sep 2, 2022I feel like this is a shameless attempt to tick diversity boxes. Sure the CGI looks good but not sure it’s worth the money they must have shelled out. Any thing with dwarves in looks good but that’s about it… honestly struggling to find positives. Just watch house of the dragon or the last kingdom instead.
-
Sep 2, 2022This show is an embarrassment and and insult to Tolkien and the world he created, the writing is terrible, the CGI is awful and the music does not fit. I hope they cancel this series

Sep 2, 2022Not a fan of producers and studios who disrespect the lore, the legacy with forced woke ideology and who disregard the source material. Its very pretty ill give it that
-
Sep 2, 2022Morfydd is perfect. Beautiful show, grand in scope and intriguing. Season 1 focusing on world building but also the characters are very compelling.

Sep 2, 2022I really had my hopes up, but the characters and story are so empty. Very disappointed as I really believed this was going to be decent. I can't believe the critics are generally in favour of the show. I mean it looks impressive, but everything is artificial.
-
Sep 2, 2022The series is entertaining, the look is a little too slick for my taste. (-2P)
The story seems OK, deviating from the lore here and there, but that was to be expected. (-1P)
I find the whole negative vibe a pity. It feels like people are going in with an expectation that is Utopian, remember the Hobbit is in itself very weak filmed. -
Sep 2, 2022It's anything but the Lord of the Rings
Amazon could have easily created HER OWN fantasy saga for such money, but no..... -
Sep 2, 2022Realmente um marco na produção televisional de Tolkien! VIsuais, atuações e roteiro estão muito bem desenvolvidos. Animado para acompanhar a adaptação nos próximos episódios do seriado.

Adar’s début drips with signifiers. ... When Adar informs Arondir in Episode 4 that he has been told many lies, some that “run so deep even the rocks and roads now believe them,” it is still a thrill. Tolkien succeeded in creating a mythic world, one that has now grown vast enough through acts of typological repetition and imitation to conquer television, too.

With war brewing and the forging of the rings seemingly still far off, the first half of The Rings of Power’s first season constitutes little more than stage-setting for the struggle to come. Given the lack of quests and central commanding figures, it often makes for less-than-gripping drama. However, given that there are four more seasons already planned, and potentially dozens of new characters to be introduced, the slow and throat-clearing build is possibly a good sign.

The Rings of Power is a reminder of what drew many of us to epic fantasy in the first place: wonder. ... This series set in an ancient realm displays one dazzling and painterly landscape after another. Power also doesn't skimp on action. [12 - 25 Sep 2022, p.10]
