Oct 8, 2015It has a few cheese moments in some episodes, but that does not necessarily negate the blockbuster thrills that are to be had in this flawed but immensely enjoyable first season.
-
Aug 20, 2015Pretty mediocre after you get past the premise. Basically Star Trek on the ocean. Each week they meet new civilizations and deal with some conflict.

Sep 14, 2014Patriotic like hell but finally a refreshing new tv series. Finally something NEW. Can't wait for more to come!
Every episode a new stage. It feels you see something new in every episode. Of course with a ship you can go further. Hopefully they will keep the tension in the next season. -

Sep 6, 2014The show started out interesting and a bit different. Some of the actions by the crew got a little silly, but that's normal for TV. The last episode changed everything. Now it looks like a second season will simply be another version of "Revolution".

Aug 31, 2014Surprisingly good show.. Didn't expect anything but it actually turned out pretty sweet.. The pase of the show is just right, not to much character building and enough action..
Hope for season 2 -
Aug 26, 2014The Last Ship doesn't break any new ground on TV but with Michael Bay at the helm, it offers a reasonably diverting season of pure entertainment and explosive cheese.

Aug 21, 2014Great Show. I look forward to it every week. I know there are inconsistencies on the show, but it is television. I actually use my imagination, unlike others. If you want completely accurate details....watch a documentary. I think the acting is good and it has a good story line. The show has gotten a lot better as the season moves on. I hope there is a 2nd season.

Aug 19, 2014Must people here are too severe at its critics here, this a great show, a must watch. It is very exciting and the story is great. I wasn't hoping for a great serie, but it was much more than I thought!

Aug 17, 2014Only show I make sure to watch. Good writing. Does not require bedroom shots to make up for a weak plot.
Reminds me a little of Star trek, when the captain kept leaving the ship. But hey its Hollywood. -
Aug 11, 2014A really great show to watch with a very interesting plot line. I nice show to sit down and watch during the evening after having a long day at school!
-
Aug 10, 2014Love it! I love Eric Dane as an actor and I knew he would be great in this show. The story is good, there is always something happening to keep you interested, and the actors, though many I haven't seen before, are good also. It's a very interesting show and it keeps you guessing at times, but always waiting for the next episode.
-
Aug 10, 2014Not great but find myself watching it anyway. As the series moves on one thing that really really bothers me is that the keep referring to the disease as "the disease". Don't you think that "the disease" would have been given a name by someone after months of wiping out the whole planet?

Aug 1, 2014I love this show. Finally a patriotic show that actually depicts our military in a good light. Good actors and scripts and of course the ship is pretty dang neat

Jul 30, 2014The show isn't that good. Nothing special about it. Very clichéd and poorly written. It's had some bright moments, but it's just general tv. I've given up on this show too.

Jul 23, 2014Not happy at all with way the show is heading Less posturing by Captain Dreamy and more realism Lets use the "Last ship" and never mind the jungles of Costa Rica
The episode with the Russian Kirov class was technically weak but interesting -

Jul 18, 2014Solid summer throwaway show. Will probably watch it all as I'm curious to see where it goes. Kind of reminds me of a Robin Cook or Michael Crichton book. A little formulaic but still quite watchable.

Jul 14, 2014This is one of the worst TV shows I have ever seen. Terrible acting, stories that go nowhere, wooden stock characters-brave Amercians, everyone else is evil...just pure crap.

Jul 13, 2014The show is great, very underrated. The plot reminds me of Star Trek, a US battleship on a vast ocean, in a post apocalyptic world fighting evil forces to resurrect a virtuous world. Hmmmmmm, maybe after the next election we can do that for real. Lol.

Jul 7, 2014show is good...however, toooooo many commercials...for every 4 minutes of show, you get 3 minutes of commercials...please...less commercials!!!! why is this happening...other shows don't have this many or this often...

Jul 6, 2014The Last Ship, is a Great new show with lots of action. It is like watching a movie over several weeks, with high quality entertainment. This is a survival type show and those who like walking dead or falling skies will probably like this show too.
-
Jul 4, 2014Pretty decent show, but when they went to Guantanamo I just knew at some point the line "America doesn't negotiate with terrorists" would rear it's ugly head. I'm sick and tired of hearing this line in almost every single drama from the US. Get over yourselves with this line. Recent "goings on" clearly contradict this anyway.
-
Jul 4, 2014wow.. that's the cheesiest garbage i think ive ever seen. wasn't expecting an intelligent show, but this is shameless. didn't know whether to throw up or laugh my ass off. dialogue and acting really cheesy. unfortunaly guns and explosions bore me, that's all this show has to offer.. utter garbage
-
Jul 1, 2014While the plot and dialogue of this show can at times be simply laughable, I have to admit that I was hooked from the start. Don't watch this show expecting realism or any meaningful insights. But if you instead watch it for a nostalgic trip back to 80s B-rated action movies with the added bonus and flair of modern VFX, you won't be disappointed.
-
Jun 27, 2014Awesome show! What a situation, and amazing production values for a TV show. It's like Star Trek on the water, but with an actual mission! Great action, tense, with a sense of mystery. Next Battlestar Galactica? Lost?

Jun 26, 2014The show takes of Slow but Accelerate very fast towards the end which is in my opinion Interesting. The Show looks promising But to go throw with such a concept for a show is not Clear in my mind.
My only curiosity is to know how would they carry with this story without making it a drag.
Hope they do justice with the start. The show is promising, GO FOR IT :) -
Jun 24, 2014Everything with this first episode is bad, bad acting, bad story. Lead female role is train wreck. Rhona go home and learn how to act. Not gonna write anything else because this show will "die" soon.

Jun 23, 2014This show was way too hard to follow and told little to no actual story. It could have been a lot Bette faith a real plot instead of a few scattered action scenes.
-
Jun 23, 2014I hope it gets better. The previews looked amazing, so I was looking forward to seeing this show. In the first episode we got a long fight scene and characters that are hard to care about. I like the cast but the show is too contrived. Every piece is predictable and strained. Like I said - I hope it gets better.

Jun 23, 2014So at first I was a bit pessimistic about the entire show taking place in a ship... but wow it's actually pretty good. I really hope it sticks around. There was already a few big explosions and lots of action. It's like The Walking Dead but in a ship.
Awards & Rankings
-
It’s been a “24”-like thrill ride so far, with baddies coming at the ship right and left to get their hands on the doc and the in-the-works cure.
-
The Last Ship aims for a big-canvas feel, but based on the first three episodes, the one-dimensional characters and action movie cliché dialogue ("Guys, let's do this thing!") make it feel cramped.
-
The Last Ship is a naval recruitment ad for the apocalypse, and these waters look shallow. Careful before sticking your toe in.
