    Huge fan of the game (Part1).. I enjoyed the first episode, not a banger, but good. Stayed pretty close to source material, nothing egregious so far. Liked Pedro more than I thought I would as Joel, but something about Ellie just isn’t hitting right. Hopefully my opinion on that changes with a few more episodes. 8/10 so far!

    I’m so in love with this story that it is difficult to imagine what a viewer without my emotional investment would think. But I find it difficult to believe that they too wouldn’t soon be utterly enthralled in Joel and Ellie’s story which is faithfully and skillfully reproduced here.

    Amazing, those who haven’t played last of us on ps4 or ps5, i highly recommend, watch this awesome tv show.

    If you've played the game or just watched the stitched-up movie, cut scenes. I'll tell you this much, the father and daughter moment in the beginning where Joel becomes Joel was shot for shot from the game! That moment made me cry again, it was just like the first time I saw it from the movie game cut scenes. I was speechless throughout most of the whole episode. The race swaps were fine,If you've played the game or just watched the stitched-up movie, cut scenes. I'll tell you this much, the father and daughter moment in the beginning where Joel becomes Joel was shot for shot from the game! That moment made me cry again, it was just like the first time I saw it from the movie game cut scenes. I was speechless throughout most of the whole episode. The race swaps were fine, they didn't sell the HBO show 'The Last of Us' on that at all. So that's why I gave it a chance and it blew me away. If you are on the fence about it, fear no more. It's worth watching the first episode for sure.… Expand

    This review contains spoilers, click expand to view. the episode was incredibly good. I think the cast past is very good. the first episode gives hope for another masterpiece like the game. I only found the scene where they were caught by the Fedra agent at the end a little weird. But I think that was possibly synonymous s.der Camera Perspective. otherwise everything was exceptionally good. the acting performances, the sets, the infected ones shown so far everything is consistent and accurate. Bella Ramsey after a few minutes I recognized Ellie in her. she's doing it perfectly so far as has Joel.… Expand

    I am a huge fan of the first game. The first half of the episode is GREAT they expand on Joles daughter, and you even get to meet the neighbors and a male dog called Mercy... I will list the pros and cons.

    Pros: first half of the film is so well done and the mood and how scary hearing the jets are great. 2. Nicely filmed and mood looks like game. 3. plane crash was EPIC!! better than    I am a huge fan of the first game.     Cons:
    First half was great but 20 years later it got boring, and the budget gets reduced.
    Tess isn't the Tess from the game, she is more like a drugo/drinker personality and not the leader like the game. Ellie may grow on me but the moment she swears is a cringe moment. I'm not sure on eille. Joel doesn't try hard enough with his accent, but he is a good actor but not a joel.

    The death scene of Sarah was needing to be longer and more emotional with words etc and again Sarah is to old for the role.

    The jump scare in the second half was silly and not scary lol. I hope it gets better and again the first half was 10/10 then 20 years later scene was lame/boring except for Marlene.    … Expand

    Cuando leí que la serie tomaría nuevos y ligeros rumbos para contar a más detalles cosas que no se vieron en el videojuego y a su vez esta adaptación tuviera aires frescos para tanto los seguidores de la franquicia como los nuevos que iban a llegar, llegué a sentir algo de desconfianza y preocupación, un lado de mi decía que esto    De las mejores adaptaciones en un videojuego.

    Cuando leí que la serie tomaría nuevos y ligeros rumbos para contar a más detalles cosas que no se vieron en el videojuego y a su vez esta adaptación tuviera aires frescos para tanto los seguidores de la franquicia como los nuevos que iban a llegar, llegué a sentir algo de desconfianza y preocupación, un lado de mi decía que esto iba a ser una mala idea pero por el otro lado me gustaba, pues pensaba que si seguía el mismo rumbo terminaría sintiéndose un copia y pega.
    Hace unos momentos terminé el primer episodio y ha cumplido mis expectativas, tanto el entorno, las tomas, planos, las actuaciones y el ritmo que lleva todo en conjunto es una maldita maravilla, de lo que se ha visto por parte de Pedro Pascal y Bella Ramsey nos aseguran que tienen bajo control sus respectivos papeles, no hubo mejor elección.     This is precisely how I pictured an adaptation of the game. It's going to be one hell of a ride! And be prepared for surprises because the first episode showed us more of the world, and the story went differently in some parts. All in all, this could finally be the first good video game adaptation in history.

    After episode 1, this is already the perfect adaption. A must watch for absolutely anyone. This show brings the last of us more life than it’s ever had.

    This review contains spoilers, click expand to view. It's satisfying to see an Exceptional game like THE LAST OF US on TV. Played the first game and it's one of my personal favorites, and many people also rate it highly. In the first episode, I came away with mixed feelings some good and some not so good from what I saw. The big positive is Pedro pascal he's a great Joel and I hope we can see him get better. I like how they set up the world and made it such a miserable cold place and Pedro is great at conveying the hell he lives in on a daily basis. Some shots from the tv show will never live up to the game because you are in a third-person view watching this hell occur around these people and I prefer that to the television, but that's one of the practicalities of playing a video game vs a TV show. Sarah the daughter of Joel is played by an 18-year-old actress and despite them trying to make her young she's not the sweet innocent girl we get in the game, The TV show version has more of a teenage attitude and that's a big downgrade from the original work. In the scene where Sarah dies it didn't feel the same despite the acting being great from both, especially Pascal OMG he really is this show's ace. Now Ellie...... jury is still out on her. The actress who plays her started coming off as aggressive as hell right out of the gate and my impression of Ellie in the games upon meeting her was of a girl that was more reserved trying to not show her hand or reveal too much about herself because people come and go. They made her more snarky which sucks, I hope she's not this off-putting in the rest of the show because that's a big blow to the dynamic and anyone's viewing experience if she continues. Also, the relationship between Marlene and Ellie was just crammed in there to fill up space I'd rather they not even show them together until they met Joel because they had no reason to even care for each other, just keep it vague. Also, we didn't get a lot of action this week, hoping we get some great fight scenes and shootouts later but so far nothing. I'll be watching Next week and hopefully, it gets better, I wanna like this more than I do because I love the first game, but these are my feeling so far.… Expand

    It seems that we are in a golden age for videogame adaptations, just like Arcane and Edgerunners, i think that this show (at least episode 1) faithfully captures the essence of the original game while improving some stuff. I consider that the virus is a lot more interesting here than in the original game, and a lot scarier to.     Don’t be put off by the mushroom monsters – this is a fully realised human parable, with TLOU evolving into a brutal, passionate, post-apocalyptic western par excellence.
