Summary: Joe suffers a stroke which renders him invalid. Rose tries to take care of him but he prefers Michelle, his secretary and former lover. In a flashback, Joe is shown allowing a lobotomy done on their daughter Rosemary who is severely learning-impaired. The procedure leaves Rosemary catatonic all her life. To punish Joe, Rose finally firesJoe suffers a stroke which renders him invalid. Rose tries to take care of him but he prefers Michelle, his secretary and former lover.
