The Detour is the kind of show that is best consumed in extended viewing. Individually, its episodes can seem slapdash and gratuitously crass. Definitely not as good as the first season, and it continues to be a decent comedy. I just felt like the humor was much more forced with season than the last, not that the last was perfect. I will still continue to watch the new season though.

Still funny, but not as good and over the top as the first season.
I had the feeling the writers were running out of ideas.
However, finding out who those interrogators work for, was hilarious. Laura Benanti was funny as the chief interrogator. So, maybe not as good as the firstStill funny, but not as good and over the top as the first season.
