It may get better as it goes along, but “Book of Boba” is starting out so stale and puerile it’s hard to see daylight and/or originality peeking through even eventually. If you’re not tired of seeing these “Star Wars” beans fried, refried, refrigerated and refried again, this must seem like a Golden Age to you. The rest of us know the only “golden” thing here is what’s spilling off the screen.

Disney continues to mess up Star Wars. Morrison and Wen do fine and Rodriguez makes the most of his budget as he's always done, but theDisney continues to mess up Star Wars. Morrison and Wen do fine and Rodriguez makes the most of his budget as he's always done, but the writing and world-building are so stupid and ludicrous. The first few minutes alone involving the Sarlacc are poorly done. The stuff with the Tusken Raiders literally put me to sleep. There is no mention of the Hutts trying to retake the planet, when they are a family-run crime syndicate who don't give up power so lightly. This show takes the huge world established in Star Wars and shrinks it down to a few sets and establishments. Note to the writers: Jabba and his family ran the whole planet, not just Mos Espa! None of the threats established seem interesting in the slightest. It is obvious that the budget was not there for this show to have any real stakes aside from more random subplots. I sense a middling threat-of-the-week structure that completely misuses and misunderstands the character. Full Review »

I went with zero expectations after the fiasco of TheMandalorian and I found almost less than expected. Very bad direction. The battleI went with zero expectations after the fiasco of TheMandalorian and I found almost less than expected. Very bad direction. The battle coreography is aweful. The acting just correct. And the writing aweful. Filled with fan service as its predecesor. Sure fans will say it's the best piece of Star Wars media to ever come out since episode IV.
The soundtrack is probably the only good thing I have to say about the show. Decently good. Experimental like Goranson previous works, but lacking of feelings.

If you’ve seen any of the Disney Star Wars properties you know exactly how awful this show is before even pushing play.
