Summary: Pale Cocoon is a post-apocalyptic sci-fi OVA anime directed and scripted by Yasuhiro Yoshiura, where a group of humans has left their planet to populate an artificial colony above it. Their world was once colorful and vibrant, but it was destroyed by human foolishness and greed. Ura works in the Archive Excavation Department which is trying to recover and restore this lost data from a huge archive where most of it is corrupted and in unreadable formats. The Department used to be full of eager and excited people, but now it is filled with only sadness for the past they threw away. Ura is the only one with any motivation left, and he works tirelessly to try to uncover the past.
