A transporter accident sends Dax, Sisko and Bashir back in time to the year 2024, when San Fransisco was plagued with riots and social upheaval. Bashir and Sisko are taken to a homeless compound while Dax is taken care of by a wealthy businessman. Sisko and Bashir's interventions in an altercation alters the future time line.
