I've gotta admit I was very pleasantly surprised by this show. On paper, a comedy shot entirely over zoom with two dramatic actors as leads doesn't feel like it would work that well. The script is very good and I found myself laughing consistently throughout the season. There's some quotes (like Nicola Sturgeon screaming or the cookie jar song) that I can see me referencing for whole. Furthermore, there's some fantastic cameos in this including Samuel L Jackson and Judi Dench and I appreciated them very much. Overall, its a brief but very funny and earnest comedy which demonstrates that, even with a literal pandemic happening, TV can continue to thrive. Expand

It's still frequently, reliably amusing, and the show's new Christmastime setting gives the whole endeavour a slight festive feel – something which will surely be to this season's benefit when it comes time for potential yearly re-watches.

Their egotistical tussle over whose name should go first on the poster ("But you were first in Good Omens," Tennant complained) was, you just know, close to the truth. It was the best lockdown show I've seen so far.

    It’s a light, charming offering.
