    Ultimately, both series [Sinbad and Primeval: New World] are the TV equivalent of summer beach reading: popcorn fun while they last, but don't expect a lasting impression.

    It’s still a basically good-hearted guy against a mean old world. But the modernizing makeover has taken away some of what made Sinbad last so many centuries in the first place.

    It's edgier than other Sinbad reincarnations and follows along the same lines as Merlin and Robin Hood.
