Jun 9, 2013It's edgier than other Sinbad reincarnations and follows along the same lines as Merlin and Robin Hood. It's visually beautiful with locations shot in Malta and really impressive CGI, much better than high budget TV shows like 'Once Upon A Time'.

Jun 19, 2013It had a slow pilot, but after that, it got really good. The show mixes the classic story of Sinbad with interesting action scenes and unique thrills. It has a lot of action and story that will keep this alive for at least two seasons.

It’s still a basically good-hearted guy against a mean old world. But the modernizing makeover has taken away some of what made Sinbad last so many centuries in the first place.

It's not as well-written or accomplished as Syfy's Merlin, but it's a lot of fun for the whole family.

Ultimately, both series [Sinbad and Primeval: New World] are the TV equivalent of summer beach reading: popcorn fun while they last, but don't expect a lasting impression.
