Jun 14, 2016Arguably better than the first one people say. I say how is a TV movie franchise like this still going? Bet all my money for a fifth one if they won't stop. Sharknado 2: The Second One manages to kill all the fun and turn them into stereotypic clichés.

Aug 4, 2014Tried to watch alone, and sober, and couldn't feel the campiness that many are pointing as a reason to give this "movie" high marks. Maybe when I have a chance to watch drunk in the company of friends, I'll change my mind and change my rating, but for now, it gets a big fat ZERO, but it's actually worse than that.

Sep 25, 2014Trying to be campy doesn't work when you're trying to be campy.
The classic "bad" movies did not intend to be bad, they were produced with the intent to be someone's masterpiece.
You don't create a campy movie looking through the windshield, you notice it in the rear view mirror. -
Jul 15, 2015Sharknado 2 is bad. Its really bad. I personally didn't enjoy it at all. It was just made to be stupid and they sort of wanted it to be rated horribly. I don't recommend this to anyone.

Feb 17, 2016This film is pure garbage. How can people watch something this bad? The movie was created by a scamming production company known for making mockbusters. How this movie is popular still baffles me. I think I'll still with Twister or Into the Storm for tornado movies. And how the heck Judd Hirsch got into this is beyond me.

Sharknado 2: The Second One is that kind of movie, veering more into "spoof" territory than the first one, which isn't to say that "Sharknado" was meant as high drama, but it wasn't calling attention to its absurdity in quite the same way as the sequel.

Like a lot of junk food, Sharknado might taste good while you’re eating it--but even with Cheetos you have to know when to take your hand out of the bowl.

Set now in New York, instead of Los Angeles, it is just more of the insane same--insaner, if anything--in a slightly nicer suit. As with John Heard, the ringer in the first installment, the picture manages to bring everyone in it down to its level. Or close enough.
