Arguably better than the first one people say. I say how is a TV movie franchise like this still going? Bet all my money for a fifth one if they won't stop. Sharknado 2: The Second One manages to kill all the fun and turn them into stereotypic clichés.

Sharknado 2 is my favorite cause it is probably the most not cheap one in the series cause the special effects are okay and the kill scenes are okay too.

Yes, the movie is bad, but it's the new funny bad that makes it fun to watch. Some of SYFY's other b movies are just too bad to enjoy, but Sharknado 2 captures everything we secretly love: cheesy lines, awesomely unrealistic shots, and the tons of celebrity cameos you won't want to miss.

Bigger and dumber than it's predecessor, but arguably better. With a larger budget, tons of great cameos from D-list actors, and a lot of super cheesy memorable moments, it's definitely crazier than the first. I'm not sure you can watch Sharknado Two all of the way through in one sitting. The ridiculous quadrant of your brain needs a rest now and then. Sharknado 2, like its predecessor is a bad movie that is meant to be bad. Its sole purpose is to be mocked. Within the first five minutes, there's already a ridiculous mid-flight action sequence that tops most of the first movie. Honestly, this is a pretty fun movie. It's not COMPLETELY unwatchable, or TOTALLY sh#tty. It definitely has its flaws--there isn't much character development; the movie has a too simple and unrealistic plot; the film has too many cheesy lines (“This is the Big Apple! It definitely has its flaws--there isn't much character development; the movie has a too simple and unrealistic plot; the film has too many cheesy lines (“This is the Big Apple! When something bites us, we bite back!”); ans the movie has many cliche characters and crazy (but cool) shots within its 1 hour and 25 minutes of running time. The CGI is a bit dodgy at times; there are many abusrd moments, plot holes, and mistakes (for ex., people are still at work even though there are sharknadoes all over NY, unsharpened swords can easily cut through sharks, sharknadoes are possible, homemade bombs stop tornadoes bombs can be made with materials from your local Home Depot, etc); the film advances too quickly from scene to scene and the movie's pace is too quick, etc.

But for a film made by Syfy and The Asylum, it isn't a complete mess. The cameos from lots of TV news anchors and talk show hosts help make you smile at the film's attempt to have a more realistic feel. I think that if the film actually tried to feel good, it wouldn’t be as preposterous, ridiculous, fun, and funny as it actually is. The film is supposed to be “bad”—but that doesn’t mean it can’t be an enjoyable experience. Eat some buttery popcorn, grab a beer, get your needle syringe, smoke a pack of cigarettes (or…other substances)…whatever you need to do to make the film a more enjoyable experience.

If you like stupid B-movies like this, and if you enjoyed the first Sharknado, you’ll enjoy this. If it’s the opposite for you, then you still won’t like this movie. Also—for better or worse—there will be a Sharknado 3 premiering in 2015 on Syfy. (What’s your reaction: Ha! Ugh. LOL! WTF? Are you f%cking kidding me?)

If you liked this review, read my other ones on movies, TV shows, and videogames. I have reviewed the 2014 films Dawn of the Planet of the Apes, Transformers: Age of Extinction, Edge of Tomorrow, X-Men Days of Future Past, Godzilla, Blended, The Amazing Spider-Man 2, Jack Ryan: Shadow Recruit, The Lego Movie, and more. I am actually still trying to find time for other film reviews, such as Robocop, Non-Stop, Divergent, Need for Speed, The Monuments Men, etc. I also review TV shows, such as: Fox's Sleepy Hollow, ABC's Marvel's Agents of SHIELD, CW's The 100, Fox's I Wanna Marry Harry, NBC's Crisis, Fox's Gang Related, TNT’s The Last Ship--and more.

For Sharknado 2: The Second One, you obviously cannot properly criticize this movie, because it is so bad. On rate of 1 to 10, how much did you enjoy it? That is the rating system for such movies.

Tried to watch alone, and sober, and couldn't feel the campiness that many are pointing as a reason to give this "movie" high marks. Maybe when I have a chance to watch drunk in the company of friends, I'll change my mind and change my rating, but for now, it gets a big fat ZERO, but it's actually worse than that.

Sharknado 2: the second one is the sequel to one of the worst tv of 2013 (which didn't make it on my list), this one recycles the same material that's gonna become the single worst of tube of 2014, it's an idiotic and truly, truly dreadful trashfest, about sharks turning into tornados that terrorized NYC, ain't that ridiculous, the performances are incredibly dreadful, the CGI is pathetic,Sharknado 2: the second one is the sequel to one of the worst tv of 2013 (which didn't make it on my list), this one recycles the same material that's gonna become the single worst of tube of 2014, it's an idiotic and truly, truly dreadful trashfest, about sharks turning into tornados that terrorized NYC, ain't that ridiculous, the performances are incredibly dreadful, the CGI is pathetic, the sharks look ridiculous, everything about it sucks, this is truly the worst tv of 2014, believe that. Trying to be campy doesn't work when you're trying to be campy.

The classic "bad" movies did not intend to be bad, they were produced with the intent to be someone's masterpiece.

You don't create a campy movie looking through the windshield, you notice it in the rear view mirror.

A freak weather system turns its deadly fury on New York City, unleashing a Sharknado on the population and its most cherished, iconic sites - and only Fin and April can save the Big Apple. "Sharknado 2: The Second One" sometimes feels forced and the plot is basically the same of the first film, but it's nice to see this hilarious, likable cast again. The opening scene made me laugh so much, I loved when Fin said: "It's happening again", LOL. The first Sharknado is a TV classic for me and this second one is basically the first film, but now it sets place in New York. Anyway, the jokes are still funny and effective. It is a must see if you liked the first one.

The acting is pleasantly bad as always and the script is brainless and easy... as always. There's a scene at the middle of the film where Fin tells a crowd of New Yorkers to prepare to fight the sharks that will fall from the sky after he destroys the tornadoes, then after his speech he cuts a shark by the half and that scene gave me chills, I don't know why. Moving on, the new characters are awful and the human drama is sometimes dull and doesn't fit with the tone of the film. On the upside, the bloody scenes are well done and enjoyable. Although it lacks the charisma of the first movie, it is still entertaining and funny, especially if you watch it with some friends. [B-]

Sharknado 2 is bad. Its really bad. I personally didn't enjoy it at all. It was just made to be stupid and they sort of wanted it to be rated horribly. I don't recommend this to anyone.

This film is pure garbage. How can people watch something this bad? The movie was created by a scamming production company known for making mockbusters. How this movie is popular still baffles me. I think I'll still with Twister or Into the Storm for tornado movies. And how the heck Judd Hirsch got into this is beyond me.

Sharknado 2: The Second One is that kind of movie, veering more into "spoof" territory than the first one, which isn't to say that "Sharknado" was meant as high drama, but it wasn't calling attention to its absurdity in quite the same way as the sequel.

Set now in New York, instead of Los Angeles, it is just more of the insane same--insaner, if anything--in a slightly nicer suit. As with John Heard, the ringer in the first installment, the picture manages to bring everyone in it down to its level. Or close enough.
