There is certainly a strain of comedy being worked here, along with some seemingly random, one might say Buñuelian weirdnesses, but it is not often funny; at times, it feels meant as satire, but of what? ... Take the best pitch of Black Mirror and have it directed by David Lynch. This is truly one of the best and most innovative series to have come out on streaming services. It is a sonic, visual, and thoughtful masterpiece in every way. Finally a good series on Apple tv as well.

One of the best original shows I have seen in a LONG time. Great acting from all the actors/actresses. This show will keep you on the edge of your seat and wanting more. Apple TV+ continues to bless us with gem after gem. SO EXCITED for season 2!

I initially avoided this show, because the name sounded like a depressing show about work culture, that I have enough of every day. Boy was I wrong! The premise behind the show is fascinating, raising many questions about how we treat work/life balance, but the story itself is amazing.I initially avoided this show, because the name sounded like a depressing show about work culture, that I have enough of every day. Boy was I wrong! The premise behind the show is fascinating, raising many questions about how we treat work/life balance, but the story itself is amazing. The detailed blending of different decades in clothing, architecture, and decoration and technology to help depict the split between In and Out (not saying any more! no spoilers!) was incredible. Each episode ended with a New Event, making you go "ok what is this additional twist?!" - and then the ending of the season ... I do not remember the last time I was so enraged (in a really good way) that I have to wait for season 2! The actorrs are also incredible, a stellar cast. Hands down an amazing show… Expand

This series is def one of top series ever made. A lot of dumb things will be said about late stage capitalism etc, but the people saying those things are just trying to sound smart. We all have to adopt a binary persona, at times, no matter what the circumstances are (family gatherings,This series is def one of top series ever made. The show slow-burns for two or three episodes but draws you in more deeply as you go along for the full first season, wanting more. Essentially in the same genre as "Homecoming," but more claustrophobic. Severance's premise is wild: dividing your memory so one part is dedicated to working and the other to personal life. The constant intrigue is engaging, and the acting sure gets you into the desperation of a group of poor souls trapped in a very Apple-esque company. Another series that will be suspended and will never have an ending.
That's what I thought at the end of the first season, when I realised I knew very little about the characters, the setting, anything. 9 episodes with very few actors, a drawn out script and an almost non-existent setting.Another series that will be suspended and will never have an ending.
That's what I thought at the end of the first season, when I realised I knew very little about the characters, the setting, anything. 9 episodes with very few actors, a drawn out script and an almost non-existent setting.
Yet the very final episode runs too long, opens up so many scenarios that it calls for a renewal of at least five to six seasons. Which, as we all know, will never happen. It is more realistic to think that, cliffhanger after cliffhanger, we will find ourselves at the end of the second or third season without knowing much more than we do now and with the announcement: "We're sorry, it ends here, there won't be another season".
I was wrong to start seeing it and I do not recommend doing so. We should only start seeing finished products, because there is no respect for the audience.… Expand
