    Thank you all, who have taken part in making this project. It made me laugh and cry so many times. I will not talk about science accuracy but human life. I am ready to tell, no, scream about it to the whole world. The series every person must watch to understand the purity of life, aims, and judgements. There are to words in any language to describe my admiration. Thank you to the moon and back!

    WATCH IT!!!! it's amazing if you're an open-minded person.... if your someone who holds conservative values though this show definitely isn't for you, but it's your loss for this show is amazing

    This is the best show on tv bar none. Another reviewer, Ejarn, complains that there is no character development. Apparently he/she can't get past what he/she believes is moralizing about gender and sexuality. I'm not sure what show he is watching but it certainly is not Sense8. Each of the 8 main characters has a fully developed story line that also connects to the bigger picture. It'sThis is the best show on tv bar none.     A beautiful and gripping version of our world, focused on a group of very different individuals, with different nationalities and preferences, coming together to survive life's perils. and achieve something good. Admittedly a slow build, but setting up these 8 lead characters makes the rest of the journey so incredibly engaging - time well spent. Never have I felt so great and so full of terror in a short space of time (the hanging scene anyone?). If you are open minded and believe in the world coming together, and love great characters and awesome visuals, this show will literally rock your world.… Expand

    AMAZING piece! I absolutely love the way it integrates a general approach on such different people and places. It's very global and each one of us can relate to at least one of the characters. It's full of excitement, the season 2 is a thrilling experience! I simply love it.

    such an interesting show!! so i started it a days ago and they cancel it now, wow, that is bad luck. it kinda stopped me from watching it but meh, i still will, i want to see how it ends. i really like how diverse it is, with people from all backgrounds around the world!

    This show is one of the best shows on Netflix! It is unacceptable that the cancelled it. This is a vibrant, diverse and out of the world show , whose story deserves to be told. Season 2 ended with such a cliffhanger that we deserve to know what happens to the Sensates and how they deal with all that is going on around them.     Sense8 differs from the majority of modern series in the plot. Here not 1 and not 2 active actions in a plot, and whole 8! Each character is well registered by screenwriters, at everyone the world and the life. The tie is untwisted very slowly, only to the middle of the first season. To understand motives of the main antagonist it turns out only closer to the season final. But WhispersSense8 differs from the majority of modern series in the plot.     A show that, while spends it's entire first season doing much need world building, manages to almost never slow down. I was surprised that I liked the show and all 8 title characters, I can't think of a show where I didn't have an issue with at least one character where I felt myself wanting to fast forward or just not pay attention. The writing was a little campy sometimes, mainly the Nomi and Aminata's scenes, I just couldn't get over how campy their love was, but it was love regardless, so I put up with it because they're both so badass. There was a lot things about how the senate's connections work that were hard to understand at first, but by the end of the season, once we saw it in action, there was no denying how cool this show is, and how much potential it has as a series. Seeing it renewed for season two was a relief after the shows fate was up in the air there for a few months, but thanks to a strong twitter campaign, the show's second season is streaming right now!… Expand

    Love this series! Already can't wait for the next season. I never write reviews but had to for this series. First of all it is hard to find anything these days that isn't somewhat predictable. Sense8 is not predictable at all. You do have to pay attention especially in the beginning. I love the fact that this crosses so many walks of life.     At first it was a little confusing. I think a little more back story would have helped, but as you moved forward into more episodes you really started to root for some of the characters. You could see that people from different parts of the world in so many different circumstances had something to add to each other that seemed to make them more "whole".     My only problem with the series is that the eight protagonists should have the same relevance and time in camera and episodes. For example, Kala and Lito are the least coexisting with the rest, only to the end.
    And too much is given to others, when the eights should be of equal importance.     It's pretty decent, but there's way too many "main" characters. 5 would be about the absolute maximum.

    Also, it blatantly panders to specific demographics with the characters. It feels like a straight person wrote all the gay stuff and got it way, way wrong.

    This was one of the best show in 2015. As for metacritic, you should ban those that *always* give bad critic on a very well appreciated show by the pubic. I fell like i am in the 1970's and 1980's when most of the critics were done by gay (it was fashion during a few decades), but they didn't represent the public taste (including gay), its usually some snob people that think the know whatsThis was one of the best show in 2015.     Original, interesting, diverse and thrilling; all qualities that are much needed in a modern television series and ones that Sense8 has managed to incorporate into this extraordinarily produced and well performed piece of art.

    Sense8 got a very interesting story and a catching main plot. The image and the characters are very well made and each story is interesting and they have a very accurate cultural background. You really start to like every character and their everyday life (very different for each of them) is incredible well made.

    But sadly, it take 7 episode for it to really start, I found everything very very very slow until the episode 7 where things start to get very interesting and the main plot FINALLY progress. Because yes, during 7 episode, nothing happens exepect in their individual story, and i think it's a bit to much to waste 7 episode out of 12 only to setup the background.It's (i think) a bit to much LGBT friendly, which is not bad, i have nothing against, but it's like everywhere all the time, it's like a big propaganda and sometimes it's useless...

    Simply put, Sense8 is one of the best TV Shows I ever saw. One of the few where I got to deeply care about the characters. The pilot may be a bit slow for a setup episode, but the rewards you get by watching it through are more than worth your patience.

    This premise creates a relatively interesting story that will undoubtedly be filled with various plot holes and things that can simply be described as stupid. And I feel that Sense8 is exactly this: it is interesting, yet filled with holes.

    Some of the strong points of this season is that it is filled with interesting characters with fascinating character developments. The comedy, the action, the politics, and multitude of protagonists, and the unique presentation gives this show an artistic flair that I don't see too often. It is an honestly intriguing series that I find entertaining, that that is why I would give it a solid 8/10.

    But yeah, some areas are blatantly stupid. Sometimes it seems as though the motivations and feelings of each of the protagonists are disjointed, where there is just no plausible reason for them to help each other at any given time, or do what they need to do. Some characters are helplessly emotional one moment, and ridiculously assertive the next, or simply both simultaneously.

    All said and done though, it was entertaining enough to recommend it, and I do look forward to seeing the next season.    … Expand

My view: very good original idea (not wisely exploited), but quite simple / cliched storylines of the individual characters, especially the Mexican soap opera actor (by the way, I am Spanish and it was somehow curious hearing Miguel Ángel Silvestre speak in English, I certainly wondered why they would choose a Spaniard to play a Mexican, when MexicoI liked this first season in general. My view: very good original idea (not wisely exploited), but quite simple / cliched storylines of the individual characters, especially the Mexican soap opera actor (by the way, I am Spanish and it was somehow curious hearing Miguel Ángel Silvestre speak in English, I certainly wondered why they would choose a Spaniard to play a Mexican, when Mexico has over 100 million people... though he is quite famous in Spain, this is just a minor detail :-) ). As I am a language freak myself, it was a bit disappointing not hearing more Swahili, Korean, German, Hindi, Spanish... it's not necessary to fill the series with subtitles, but a little more local flavor would have been great, given that this is such an original plot (OK, too fantastic and forced sometimes, but that's what I expect in a series). Anyway there are a few remarkable and funny moments; my favorite characters are Nomi and Amanita, the former has some moving performances (and a beautiful voice), the latter is truly an angel. Naveen gives viewers a connection to Lost, a good wink since I think Lost and Fringe fans can enjoy this series. I can recommend it in spite of the shortcomings... the mix of world locations is a plus. In addition, I can figure out that further episodes will be more interesting because of the natural evolution of the plot that can lead to more interesting situations among the characters.… Expand

    Simply because it is unique! No show on this planet is like that. There may be some things, which some one does not like, but overall it is a perfect as it is! It sets a new standard for tv shows.

Lost’s problem was a bloated cast of frustrating characters taking up hours upon hours of space while the only compelling thing, the mystery, idled until stalling out. Am I pronouncing that right? Lost’s problem was a bloated cast of frustrating characters taking up hours upon hours of space while the only compelling thing, the mystery, idled until stalling out. Sense8 has the opposite problem. A cast of interesting characters you’re compelled to explore before the damn mystery comes and takes everything over. When Upstream Color came out it was tough to handle emotionally—all those amazing scifi concepts dealt on an art film and left unexplored, certainly lost to memory. But then Sense8 comes in and steals like a third of the movie and makes it feel fresh enough to stand on its own and finally explore some of that awesome material! Way to Mr. Robot that **** Sense8. Like Mr. Robot it requires a lot of suspension of disbelief but rewards you for your cooperation. Once you accept the ridiculous turns the only sad part left is the pacing. When you think about it, the idea of a show about a meta-organism is probably the best postmodern premise you could have. The potential for exploring next step evolution as cultural evolution in which individuals are elevated through sharing and reconciling of difference and experience—that’s maybe the most timely and uplifting story one could tell. Halfway in though, you get the old G-men plot. It’s cool but it does a disservice to what the development of the meta-organism could have been. There’s a lot of good material that will probably never get explored unless season 2 steps back and slows down, which will almost definitely not happen. Lito’s story is a good example of how the rest should have been plotted.… Expand

    Best show ever! I watched everything in one day, every episode gets better and better, I'm so excited for season 2!!!! Good production, great actors and performances and AWESOME story and message!!!!!!!! My favorite show ever! Thank you sense8!!!!!!!

    Best show I have ever watched, and I don't mean that lightly.

    Only bad part is if you're not comfortable with in your face homosexuality. It doesn't bother me (don't enjoy it myself , so I just look away).

    although it has a slow start sense 8 is very addictive, only made more interesting by its incredibly diverse pool of characters, a great thing about this show is that it doesn't fit into any genre, its its own genre, i do not recommend this show to anyone who is anti-gay for the show is very LGBT oriented

    if anyone find it late to "get going" after episode 6, check out the widely acclaimed Game of Thrones, which got going after season 3 ... give it time. Lets at least hope it will not become another "arrow" ..

The fact that a multicultural, action packed, jauntily controversial and easily relatable show that appeals to almost every demographic out there, still manages to assemble acting, script, screenplay, atmosphere AND pace so good it almost makes you rip your eyes out wondering how the heck it isn't renewed yet. This series a breath of fresh air, I have neverAbsolutely astonishing. The fact that a multicultural, action packed, jauntily controversial and easily relatable show that appeals to almost every demographic out there, still manages to assemble acting, script, screenplay, atmosphere AND pace so good it almost makes you rip your eyes out wondering how the heck it isn't renewed yet. This series a breath of fresh air, I have never experienced such an articulate story with so many main appealing characters, without losing touch with every single one of them.
    I mean, every actor is hand picked and perfect for their role, proof of it is that you could write a series on each of them alone, and it would still sound good.

    As many others have stated, the first episode will confuse you, and you might not be interested in the show, but I promise, after the second, you'll want to know more! I highly suggest a full season re-watch after completing the show. the first episode makes so much more sense when you "know" the characters!

Some scenes are so touching, you can't resist to cry like a baby. The staging is bluffing. Moreover, the directors examine such difficult themes to approach but it is done so well that there is nothing to say. It is great that they achieved to get rid of theAbsolutely astonishing...     I watched the first episode and I hated it... but, I gave it another chance then I kept on watching the following episodes and it turned out to be one of my favourites of this year. Great actors, the story unravels beautifully. I must say great job Netflix! I can only recommend this show.

    I love this show. You have to make it through the first three episodes before you become hooked, but it is oh so worth it. This is one of the most original things I have ever seen in TV or the movies. I feel madly in love with each character whom are deeply developed and extremely interesting. Yeah netflix for having the courage to make this show.

    This show is very original and something for the person who likes a complicated story that does not need to make sense before the absolute end. And that is a problem as well to many people. I personally think that after season 2 (if it comes and god i hope so) the story will be more clear and fantastic.

The things every character has been through is a lesson about life and what is like to live the way we do, and to understand what lives other may live despite every judgement.

The suspense and entensitiy was what kept me glued to this show. The whole idea is beyond imagination but yet it can relate to reality in so many ways. For all the haters out there that disaprove on this show, you can tell that they are closed minded.I was so hooked on this show It took me a day to watch cause I couldnt stop, even at 4 in the morning when I finished my mind was restless. The suspense and entensitiy was what kept me glued to this show. The whole idea is beyond imagination but yet it can relate to reality in so many ways.     In bed with flu', stumbled upon Sense8, and have feasted on eps for two days, I am now deeply engaged in the lives of these unlikely characters. So beautiful and flawed, a cacophony of colour, chaos and hope. I love it, can't wait for more, thank you Netfilx for another glorious, challenging 21st century tale.

It was a bit chaotic and hard to follow at first, but I know that in the first few episodes of any show it may not be a good representation because they are finding their footing. After episode three I was hooked, and fell in love with it.     Just finished season 1 and really enjoyed Sense 8. The variations in location and the contrasting characters and their individual story lines really make you care about what is going to happen next to each character. The action scenes are impressive, always leaving you with a feeling of not quite knowing how each scene is going to pan out.     I love it. It's an extremely ambitious series thematically, both in the diverse backgrounds of its many characters and the exploration of spiritual and telepathic connections. There are many powerful emotional moments in the first season as well as some excellent action sequences. It takes a long time to set up backgrounds for such a large cast, and I'm optimistic that now that they haveI love it.     I like the unexpected ways they interact oh there are the obvious ways. But the less obvious are the ones that make the most impact. Leaving you asking yourself what how wow!

    This show has something very special about it. But before I get there I will propose my theory as to why there seems to be such a divide on the reviews.

    I believe people are afraid of the characters. There are lesbians, transgenders, and gays. People argue on here that this show is a "diversity campaign" and that this message "has been received long ago." Even if the show pushes these topics too heavily, it is still a message that needs to be sent because it obviously hasn't been very well received. I believe people can't get past their own beliefs and opinions and see the incredible-ness of this show. Also, several of the negative reviews even admit to only watching the pilot or a couple episodes. Another person even mentioned the show doesn't do any flashbacks like Lost did and therefore there is no character development. This person obviously didn't watch more than a couple episodes, if that, as there are several flashbacks and character development. Now why would anyone who disliked a show so quickly feel the need to share their negative thoughts about it, and sometimes in a very harsh tone? Most likely do to something about it striking them in such a direct way that it contradicted their own beliefs and values. The result: negative reviews based on personal feelings of misunderstanding, fear, and potentially, hate.

    I'll admit that some of these things were a bit tough for me handle at first, but I grew past those misplaced negative opinions that society pushed on me and accepted the characters for the people and human beings that they actually are. And, most importantly, even if I still don't fully understand these things that bothered me, I did not allow it to override my judgement on the quality of the show. (which is freaking awesome, btw)

    Reasons I love Sense8:

    #1: It connects you to the characters better than any show I've seen. This is done primarily through the psychic connection of the 8 main characters by showing you how they work together and help each other out when the need arises most, sharing skills and knowledge along the way. Simply ingenious and amazing.

    #2: It's unapologetic. Yes, it throws a strap-on **** the transgender lesbians were using right in your face directly at the beginning. It's shouting out, "Yes, we are different, but we are not ashamed and will not hide our true selves!" It takes that huge elephant in the room (due to one of the creators being transgender) and throws it out in the open for everyone to see, getting it out of the way and the show can move on. She may be transgendered now, but that took some balls!

    #3 Fight and action scenes. These are the Matrix siblings after all, and they don't let us down.

    #4 It moves at a very good pace, not to slow and not too fast. Almost like a murder mystery novel. You wouldn't want all the secrets to be given to you in the first few chapters, but just enough to keep you interested and guessing. Sense8 does this, and balances it quite perfectly. I also really like how the "bad guy" is still the biggest mystery of all. Makes for really good anticipation.

    #5 Acting is spot on.

    That's currently my top 5, and I'm to come up with more reasons I love the show later. I created this account to help get the message out about how great this show is because I want to see it continue.

    So, do yourself a favor, let go of any societal doubts casted upon you in the past, and enjoy this very well done sci-fi fantasy drama!    … Expand

    Sense8 is a truly ambitious TV series with a premise that is tantalizing enough to get any person to sit down and ask for more. To start with the good aspects of the show we will cover just how vast the giant web of Sense8 really is.
    It follows the lives of 8 people who are psychically linked and reveals the lives of those that live within this cluster. The show does a great job of building plot suspense without solely relying on flashy action and life or deal situations to create the suspense. You constantly want to know more because Sense8's plot is incredibly withholding for the first few episodes. It leaves you in the dark just as it leaves the characters in the dark. This really helps you understand the confusion and the emotion of the characters because you are in the same place as they are. You are no more privy to answers than they are.
    Next, the web of characters creates a satisfying and intriguing dynamic that allows you to enter each character's life for a brief amount of time each episode. This means you get the character's story in nice digestible sections rather than long drawn out narratives. Not only is the approach a fresh idea, but the way the movie was shot is incredibly beautiful. The tailoring of these stories is sewn together with golden thread because the cinematography really is quite striking and makes the transition from characters, which is usually a jolting process, an agreeable and almost natural feeling.
    Enough cannot be said about how beautiful this series is shot. It certainly helps that there are 8 unique environments as familiar as the streets of US city like Chicago and as foreign as the slums of Nairobi, Kenya. It gives the show a shifting and changing flavor that never goes stale. One minute you are in London or Soul or Mexico City and yet the environments remain comfortable. It is once again a sign of the outstanding direction of this series that as a viewer you are comfortable within each and every setting that you find yourself in and really mirrors the essence of the show, which is that these 8 people are profoundly connected despite their stark differences.
    This is leads to one of the best parts of this show. The way it really lets its message of inter-connectedness sink in not by telling you, but by showing you and making you feel it. This profound link between the 8 strangers is not bogged down in listless dialogue or vast amounts of explanatory narrative, but is shown through the small, rich moments between the characters and the stunning cinematography that really allows your to feel what a character is feeling rather than be told it.
    Now, for the bad things. I would say that the worst part about the show for me was the pacing. I wanted to know more and I wanted it now. However, the show is brilliantly and frustratingly mysterious. It is easy to see why critics did not respond to being shown the first 3 episodes, because the main narrative remains clouded until half way through the season. Now, this wouldn't be so bad except it also took some time to get the individual character story liens off the ground as well. It was like watching a space shuttle take off. The flames were burning and the smoke was pillowing out from under the shuttle, but it took what seemed like years for the show to lift off.
    I will agree with a lot of people that the characters can be a little static at some points. They do seem to all fit into a certain niche or category. Will being the cop who tries to save everyone and all around acts like a paragon. Wolfgang, the guy with an bad boy attitude who is struggling with inner demons. However, I will say that many of the characters do break out of their shell by the end of the season. So, all in all, the fact that some of the characters felt a little stale was a problem until the show started to progress.
    While the first season is around a whole 24 hours of screen time, I feel the background of the characters is really lacking. Much of the background for the characters was developed in the last episode of the season. A lot of the backgrounds prior to that episode remained unknown or progressing at a rate too slow to keep total interest. While this acts as a mystery that makes you want more it is an annoyance at times.    … Expand

This show is a grower, an outstandingly written, directed and edited show, which effectively builds an emotional and rational world around the eight main characters. This show should not be missed, best thing I've seen in several years.

Totally recommend this incredibly well written, insanely edited, amazingly acted, beautifully scored, thrilling, insightful, compassionate, ultra human series to everyone. If you don't have netflix this series is the best reason to subscribe. sad to see it end…:( looking forward to season 2.

    In general I am satisfied with the way the series is done.
    The biggest objections were too many main characters in the series, and it seems to me that the end of the season was done in a last resort.
    However, highly recommended series, and I repeat great idea.

    Wow, Wachowskis. I have never seen a movie or TV like this, in this format, although I gather it is like anime, which they are huge fans of. It is art, as in the viewer is allowed to participate, and allowed not to like it; it is not trying too hard to be a hit, as, for the most part, formula has been left behind (but some small bit in the last episodes). During the first few episodes, IWow, Wachowskis. I have never seen a movie or TV like this, in this format, although I gather it is like anime, which they are huge fans of. It is art, as in the viewer is allowed to participate, and allowed not to like it; it is not trying too hard to be a hit, as, for the most part, formula has been left behind (but some small bit in the last episodes). During the first few episodes, I couldn't figure out whether I should keep watching or not, then read some reviews here, and hard to believe the positive ones. But, in the end, yes, best character driven sci-fi since the Battlestar Gallactica reboot (but lighter) and incredibly inspiring. Wonderfully shot and paced (believe it or not, just stay with it). Everything balances out. Fewer/shorter action scenes than I would expect (esp since I just watched their Jupiter Ascending). When the final Season 1 episode ended, I felt like I had just seen a 12 hr movie, and the story arc points to that. Sure, there are 'flaws', but one diamond's flaw is another's brilliance. I love that they used Beethoven's Emperor Concerto (Concerto No. 5) throughout much of the season, as it is so brilliant yet so overlooked and so emotional. Many great songs are used to perfect effect. Not every episode and not when you'd expect it, but just enough, like all else. Did I mention great acting, no melodrama, and superb story? Can't wait for Season 2, and I hope there is one!… Expand

    That said, I like the fact that each character is given time to develop. This is also science fiction with a very complex story line. It is an excellent series to binge watch. The slow start is due to the series looking at 8 individuals plus Darryl Hannah.

Character development is insane and the plot sequences to support character roles are well-managed. Great actors as well! A sci-fi themed series always amaze me but this one is just greatly crafted/conceptualized.

Too often I found myself wishing they could dispense with the extended soulful looks a little sooner and just get to it already ! It just seems like they just take it too many times around the dance floor to get to the point. As much as I loathe the expression, in this case, less would be more. As in more entertaining. Unless they start evolving the story lines quicker in Season 2, I fear this series, that has such enormous potential, will die due to lack of ratings, as it really does demand some patience on the part of the viewer and I'm just not sure the average viewer will appreciate sitting through the truckloads of nuance, this show heaps on you. Kudos on the spectrum of characters and I do hope this one survives the hatchet because it's VERY well written and groundbreaking in so many ways.    … Expand

    Great show has everything sex drugs rock and roll and great action.A great character study in human relations.Or maybe un-human relations.Needless to say hope there is a season 2 coming into play.

    This is a fantastically well done ensemble cast show. Many shows fall for the pitfall of having a main character for whom the writers run out of things to say. The fact that the show has such a diverse cast and takes place in such diverse settings involving interesting characters, makes it worth watching.     The writers have an awesome sense of humor and I find myself on the edge of my seat when watching. Perfect balance of laughter and suspense. I'm very excited for this show. They did a great job with casting too!     The sci-fi sub-plot was really interesting to me as an ex-physicist and IT consultant, and the action scenes were great fun for the adrenaline rush. My wife loved the character development, drama, and plot twists. I especially loved having a show that my wife and I could watch together.

    I'm not very eloquent with words but I think a lot of what makes this show good has been said by other's who gave Sense8 a 10. Loved this and I hope they get to go through with their 5-year plan (and hopefully more) plan for this.

    Groundbreaking - gorgeous - interesting!! I loved this show. I'll admit that the first couple of episodes start out a bit slowly but the series is absolutely worth the patience required to stay with those opening episodes. Best television out there. Characters multidimensional and plot intriguing. Thank you Netflix for this great show! Way to go!

Exquisite storytelling encompassing some of the fundamental questions of "meaning" of life like    It is simply a brilliant show!

    absolutely perfect..! It's my kinda' thing i mean the drama, the action, it's all in here...Netflix did a good job, the actors were not that familiar but they did an excellent acting. What more can I say.. I really like it.. Hope you entertain us more with your upcoming episodes...

    Excellent show! It starts slow, but once you grasp the concept you are fully enthralled. At times I caught myself with mouth agape or leaning forward in my seat. The feeling of being like-minded with people from around the world is engaging. My favorite sci-fi show for sure!

    Best series bringing fiction a reality ....The first episode moves slowly but it still draws you in and by episode three you are hooked and have to see what happens next. I like how it kind of develops slowly so you are learning what is going on along with the characters. I cannot wait to see more.

    This show is amazing. It's true that the story unfolds slowly and you have to invest time in the beginning. But the reward is worth it. I've fallen in love with the characters!
    I would recommend everybody to give it a shot :)

    this means so much to me right now. it's really so good. if I were to point out my favorite things, it's the pacing, it is spot on, and it has so many smile on your face moments. so no matter what you're into, I'd say give it go! :D

    W O W!!! This is the best tv series of the year!!! What can i say more? You have to watch it, because it's so complex and mysterious and it's not the typical cliché series.

    Suspenseful yet beautiful! The Wachowskis prove again that they are amongst the foremost storytellers in the Science Fiction/Fantasy genres. Sense8 is unlike anything that has appeared on screen before - stand out performances from Bae Doona, Tuppence Middleton and Max Riemelt.

You're definitely not watching this for a full action movie like Rambo and Expendables (I love Rambo and watched Expendables more than a few times). You need an open mind with some short term memory retention and some compassion for others. You do jump around to develop the characters which is to my next point.

    Character Development - 9/10, The development was great but some of the scenes (sex scenes mostly) weren't really my type of thing to watch. A few uncomfortable moments but that's what fast forward is for. Some people are going to knock it by believing there's a political agenda behind the movie. I personally did not see it that way, while some of the sex scenes were a bit over the top and unnecessary, a lot of the other stuff was necessary for character development. You have to appreciate how in depth they made each character.

    Shooting / Cinematography - 10/10, As others have mentioned , you get to see a wide range of places from Chicago, Nirobi, South Korea, Iceland, India etc. The scenes were shot nicely, transitions were pretty good. I did enjoy the fight scenes as well, most of them were necessary for character development and to get a feel for their personal beliefs and feelings. It's not like a Transformers movie (Guilty pleasure of mine) where everything is blown up via Michael Bay style.

    You cannot watch this show and base it on the first 3 episodes. If you're not able to follow along, I would advise watching it twice. The last 2 or 3 episodes were great. I will certainly look forward to a 2nd season of Sense 8.    … Expand

    The premise was fascinating. The characters and story compelling...we were hooked in two or three episodes. it does take a couple to figure out what's going on but that is indicative of what the characters are feeling and it works. I'm ready for season 2.

    i just started watching this show. it starts pretty slow but it gets better after the first couple episodes. i haven't finished the whole season yet, but i cannot wait to do so. Beautiful picture and amazing cast. Netflix did an amazing job with this one.

    Looks amazing. Very naughty with lots of rude bits and nudity. Very much written for adults, inasmuch as written with real maturity and subtle knowledge of the human condition. Kind of like a much much much better version of the leftovers with a 'evil sinister force' thing going on.

    Legitimately the best thing to come out of The Wachowskis since The Matrix. Better I'd say. Great action, interesting, believable characters. Honestly, if pressured to find a weak point, the +2 minute opening feels weird.

    Sense8 is a show forever trapped between two things--its core artistic impulses and its need to over-explain everything that happens within its confines. That makes it at once beautiful and maddening, either a complete travesty or a whacked-out masterpiece--and sometimes both in the same scene.

    The ultimate paradox of Sense8 is that it can give away so little about its ultimate destination in three hours of screen time, and still be seductive enough to make hour four an attractive proposition.
