There are no casual touches in Sense8, and the Wachowskis' fashionable and unsurprising "fight the power" message meshes tediously with typical action beats that are further glossed over with said narrative parallels. Read full review

very positively surprised Sense8, beginning is slow but from episode 5 is getting better and better and the last 2 ep are brilliant, there is a perfect balance between action, character development, comedy (not much comedy but it's placed perfectly)

This is a fantastically well done ensemble cast show. Many shows fall for the pitfall of having a main character for whom the writers run out of things to say. So they make the character stay stuck in old patterns or do stupid stuff for lack of anything new to say about the character. TheThis is a fantastically well done ensemble cast show. The strength of a properly done ensemble show is to be able to leave characters alone for a while and tell stories about other characters. The stories and characters are all tremendously well done and well interwoven. Very smartly done. Unlike a lot of shows where the creators are wandering to find their story the creators on this show definitely know where they are going.… Expand

A beautiful journey with a mysterious beginning, positive lgbtq+ representation, and a story line that got me hooked into the first couple of episodes!

The only word i have for this series is amazing! While controversial in some off it's content it creates a story that is interesting and promises you more. I loved every single minute off this series, not only did it make me connect with all 8 stories, it also made me thing about myself andThe only word i have for this series is amazing! It's not a "sci-fi show."

It is a global character study with a sci-fi premise. If you're not into watching these characters' lives develop with just a dollop of martial arts, gun play, explosions, and car chases thrown in - then you're not going to like this show. I mean it. ThisIt's not a "sci-fi show."

If you're not into watching these characters' lives develop with just a dollop of martial arts, gun play, explosions, and car chases thrown in - then you're not going to like this show.

I mean it. This show is about 8 people with a weird mental disorder just loving, laughing, having sex, and dealing with family drama.

That being said - I loved Sense8.

The premise owes a great deal to Theodore Sturgeon's "Baby is Three" for the idea of humans co-mingling their minds to create a "Gestalt" being (called a "cluster"in the show) that shares all the thoughts, feelings and skills of the individuals.

There is also the Hollywood standard "shadowy organization" trying to do bad things to the main characters but that's such a minor part of the whole. I've seen this show compared to the first season of NBC's "Heroes" but, while it did remind me of that show at times, Sense8 is the better product.

It is not for everyone but I found it compelling enough to watch the whole 12 episodes straight through so you should at least give it a shot. You'll know if it's your thing after about 1 and a half episodes.… Expand

I really don't know what to think at this point, I feel that there are multiple people like me out there who want to know how the show improves; or if it does at all. I am four episodes in and am struggling to go any further, people keep saying to "give it time", I just don't know if I can.I really don't know what to think at this point, I feel that there are multiple people like me out there who want to know how the show improves; or if it does at all. I am four episodes in and am struggling to go any further, people keep saying to "give it time", I just don't know if I can. The biggest turn away for me is the force that LGBT struggles are thrown at you. I am a big supporter of equality, yet Sense8 takes it a tad too far.
I feel that the Wachowski's have bitten off more than they could chew, with this many storylines that need to eventually interlock, you never really have any progression in each episode. Not as much as you would like is all I'm saying.… Expand
