Not bad for mindless entertainment. It's cute even if it isn't terribly realistic. It is one of our DVR back ups when our main shows have been watched. I agree that the pilot was terrible but I love this show because it serves its purpose which is escape from reality. It's also probably not good that the show pretty much has a happy ending every episode but I kinda like that. That's why this show is unique.

This is extremely entertaining. Some people are looking for extreme accuracy.....come on people it's a TV show. If you are looking for accuracy get another Degree. It's just entertainment and my opinion is let's see some more seasons.

There is a lot of fiction there; however I like the loyalty, care and team work. I did not like much when Page was acting bad with Walter, going out with Tim, finally things change for the best, wondering when is going to be the continue of the the show. I think still have more to give.

I completely enjoyed the "McGyver" and "A-Team" type shows of the 80's and am OK having more shows like them. I watch shows like that as entertainment and to escape - not as documentaries - so I'm OK with suspending a little reality. However, that being said, the Scorpion writers could stand using a consultant or two - especially for the tech and psychobabble. However, that being said, the Scorpion writers could stand using a consultant or two - especially for the tech and psychobabble. Entertainment is better if you don't have to fight quite so hard to get past the flaws (think ER). Here are my 2 biggest issues:
1: For an uber-brilliant dude who can't fit into society Walter has too many flashes of "TV drama hero" (think the firefighters on Chicago Fire, or even DiNozzo from NCIS). If he feels he must emulate someone like that he should think at least a little more like NCIS's McGee instead! The problem with coming on after Big Bang is the audience may have a tendency to think of "Sheldon" when relating to an incredibly smart person with social issues and Walter is not Sheldon. But neither is he a seasoned agent/officer/criminal investigator. BBT moving back to Thursday's may help a little in that aspect but they need to help Walter find his own character and fit.
2: Happy's voice. I can't stand listening to that woman speak. That character and set of skills could be filled in so many different ways, why her? I understand the need to give Paige (our "normal" character) another female to bond with - so go get a different actress.

Mostly, the writers need to use more consultants and we need to allow the group to gel and the show to grow (and please God, make them stop saying how smart they are all the time - we get it!). Give it a full season or two - some of the best shows out there were slow starters.

I was excited for this show and its concept. Was a bit concerned for its success after the first couple episodes. I feel the actors have found their characters sense and am really enjoying the show. Also, Katherine McPhee seems much more comfortable in this role than on 'Smash'.

Its honestly a terrible shame to see zero's for this tv show. This is a fantastic show that has it's own flaws, but also have plenty of things that easily make up for what it lakes.

Writing: The writing is simultaneously extremely good and extremely bad. As far as writing out smart characters, they do a terrible job. Its almost as if you're looking at someone who is repeating a fact

Its almost as if you're looking at someone who is repeating a fact that they read "Ah, it says here that the smartest people in the world are socially inept" and so they have their characters talk about being socially inept every episode, without actually showing it.

On the other hand though, it excels at creating unique situations, and having them solve those problems. Sometimes they reach extra far to include the skills of everyone on the team for every problem, but overall its entertaining, provides happy feelings, and a solid story. More then enough to ask for from a tv show.

Acting: The acting is believable but not over the top. Don't expect all-star performances, but it's certainly better then 50% of what it currently on tv, and it won't distract you from following the show

Filming: The filming is on the higher end of things. They actually capture the action and what is happening, rather then diluting the plot with stupid special effects. You can always follow the story without having to deal with the nonsense of the filming.

In reality, I would only rate this show an 8.5, and not a 10. But after reading the nonsense in the multiple Zero's posted, I feel as though it needs a 10 just to balance out the stupidity of the other reviews. I would recommend watching more than the pilot episode before making your decision, and I would recommend not attempting to judge the tv show on their jargon/interpretation of intelligence (You will never find a show that does a good job)

Scorpion is an over the top nerdy procedural but I’m buying it. Admittedly there's a great deal of suspension of disbelief that's required for this show but somehow they paced it really well.

The characters are interesting. Sure, they're like the geniuses of Big Bang but I think there's something fresh about putting these geniuses in a serious setting with unrealistic situations. I

After numerous seasons of mediocrity on television, I am happy to have found Scorpion. I usually enjoy action based shows, but am sick of the typical police dramas that seem to have occupied the airwaves. Scorpion manages to put a bunch of 'geniuses' together in a show I look forward to on a weekly basis.

Awesome. We totally loved it. Lots of action, and a nice bunch of characters that each have their challenges. No one of them is the infallible hero type. They are heroes because they use their talents to help others.

Anyway why can't a 'bunch of nerds' be the leads in a show, it worked for Big Bang Theory.

Normally, I agree with the critic reviews. However, based on the pilot this show was a 10. Don't know why we view this show so differently. It does have the possibility of becoming mundane, but if they have complex problems to solve every week, and not your crime of the week, it could be great.

I like it. I love anything to do with geniuses improbable or not, particularly when it is based on someone's life as it is the case in this show. I found the show entertaining, the team endearing, the background story touching, I have DVR'd the following shows and seen the second and liked it as well. I cannot imagine the series lasting a long time, but long enough to make me happy. Thank you

People are afraid of things they don't know so they try to hide from it by making fun of it and shaming other people that like it. People need to give things a chance. If you don't like something then you can move along quietly and try not to ruin it for everyone else. Contrary to popular belief, you don't need to make fun of everything you don't like. You may dislike it, you may feel an utmost hatred against it, you can just walk away. For others, the smart and the socially awkward, things like this show give us a sense of belonging, a feeling of hope and joy, a home away from stupidity, and most importantly something we can relate to that makes us realize that we aren't alone, we aren't outcasts, we aren't trash, we.. are people, we.. have feelings, we.. are better than you but don't constantly remind you of your stupidity, we.. are the people that build the things that allow you to say how stupid we are, so stop acting like you're 12 and learn to respect the people that make your lives great even though you may not see it, and even though you may not like us, a little bit of kindness and lack of stupidity can go a long way in someone 's life and make the world a better place. This tv show has lots of funny moments and funny replies : We can't have both else where. What a pity ! For instance, the characters disguise themselves so that they solve an issue. The jokes are always teasing another character and are appropriate. In most cases, a character's statement is going to be disproved right after it's been stated; i.e. "I can assure you that nothing's going to explode !" and "kaboom", right after the sentence, sthg goes off !

It was very pleasant to get to know several actors and actresses we didn't know existed; all of them are very talented. Of course, one might have heard the name Robert Patrick before? Sure I did since I simply love Doggett's part in the X files (I deeply miss him in the last 2 seasons of the XF, btw).

What's striking in this tv show is that it's action-centered, still it's still (somewhat) realistic or coherent. May I remind you that everything we can see on screen is based on the real Walter O'Brien's company and experiences (of course, details have been changed) like names, dates, locations, but the fact did happen).

What appealed to me most, I guess, was the fact that this tv show didn't stage any violence. On the contrary, we focus on problem-solving, problematic issues, as well as character's progress.

One of the scarcest tv shows which is actually family-friendly.

On top of that, the show has lots of good intentions.

Ever since I watched the 1st episode on tv, I've been a fanboy (xd).
Of course, as one can easily understand, I deeply and bitterly regret CBS brutally stopped the show (so no season 5 even though the real Walter O'Brien had 25 years of stories, adventures etc to inject in the show... What a pity, what a waste... 25 years of team , I'd definitely say "SO SAY WE ALL !", it's another tv show)
And by the way, the real Walter O'Brien got involved in the show's creation process.
I'm so disappointed that I even decided to boycott CBS from now on !

Indeed, this tv show focuses on a group of geniuses,
but, don't worry, the character's chattings are neither too specialised nor too long.

Unlike many other shows, all main characters are interesting, and one doesn't outshine the other. All the 6 characters are compatible.

I don't even know if this tv show claims it but it's also a wonderful ode to diversity :
On the 6 main charactes, 1 / 3rd are females.
1 recurring character is quite old,
1 second role is a child,
in this 1 / 3rd female casting, we have 1 Asian woman (let's keep things at a simple level).
And, eventually, 1 of the 4 recurring males is obese.
The main message conveyed by this show, I think, is : Don't judge a book on its cover, but judge the others on their intellectual skills (nice warning and reminder so that we accept the others, eventually !!).

A very friendly and easy-to-talk-to fanbase on social medias.
There are also tons of fan fictions on the net too.

I quite like the staff roll music, which is remixed several times throughout the seasons.

It's a one-of-a-kind tv show I've been honored and pleased to watch, from the beginning until the prematured end of it !
Thank you all for doing such a great work and show !!
And thank you, for reading such a big review !!

Despite of bending various facts quite to an extreme, it is a pleasant watch, as the feelings between uncommon type of people is the real center of attraction here. Really good acting and plot.

Eddie Kaye Thomas is fun as the occasionally felonious brainiac psychologist, but the rest of the characters are pretty one-dimensional, that one dimension being their social awkwardness.

A very good idea but executed in the pilot with too much sap and manipulation.

Scorpion tries to get action-heavy in its final act, with the brain trust preventing an aviation disaster at LAX, and for a brief interlude, the show has a glimmer of momentum--but it's undercut by how ludicrous the whole setup is, how unnatural the dialogue is, and how impossible it feels to care what happens to any of these people.
