Apr 11, 2015This is so cheesy I'm not even going to take the time to explain how. There is just too much cheddar. My first thought, is why do they let morons write a series about smart people?
-
Nov 9, 2014I agree that the pilot was terrible but I love this show because it serves its purpose which is escape from reality. It's also probably not good that the show pretty much has a happy ending every episode but I kinda like that. That's why this show is unique.
-
Mar 23, 2015One long and unending blowjob to Walter O'Brien and his unverified 195 iq. This show has no natural chemistry between the cast or characters. Highly improbable simplistic stories that contradict. Internal logic

Nov 12, 2014This is extremely entertaining. Some people are looking for extreme accuracy.....come on people it's a TV show. If you are looking for accuracy get another Degree. It's just entertainment and my opinion is let's see some more seasons.

Mar 10, 2015I've tried to like it, honestly, but I can't because it is just lame. I though it would be similar to Numbers but it is nothing even remotely like that. They got so many good actors involved, why couldn't they try harder on the writing? Much harder, I mean.

Oct 5, 2015Dumb show about smart people. Jadyn Wong's speech is a constant battle between her over-enunciation and flat delivery. It is distracting, annoying and just draws more attention to her inability to act.
Eddie Kaye Thomas and Elyes Gabel are not believable even as Applestore geniuses but can at least make there way through the scenes.
Ari Stidham is the best thing on this show. -
Nov 29, 2015Very bad acting .... Very far fetched ... As a techy I think it is insulting to listen to this load of crap... As for Walter o Brien ... Sounds like a con artist and gives us Irish a bad name

Jan 10, 2017Dreadful show that has a bunch of immature nerdy supposed intellectuals standing around spouting tons of pseudo scientific rubbish until you feel like running from the room screaming.
-
Oct 20, 2017There is a lot of fiction there; however I like the loyalty, care and team work. I did not like much when Page was acting bad with Walter, going out with Tim, finally things change for the best, wondering when is going to be the continue of the the show. I think still have more to give.
-
Dec 17, 2014The authors, if that's what you call them, took a great premise and made it so blatantly bad that recovery would forever be impossible.
This is so mind-numbingly, impossibly stupid, that my 12 year old boy and my loving wife, both gullible and avid TV series fanatics, found it too tough to defend, bless'em.
It's that bad ! -

Apr 20, 2015Condescending and grossly inaccurate is a great way to describe Scorpion. In other words, it is an insult to people who are *actually* intelligent! Only a simpleton would enjoy Scorpion.

Oct 3, 2014Scorpion represents a lame but earnest attempt by CBS to create an action drama pandering to what CBS executives assume younger viewers want to see: frenetic paced action, preposterous stories and lots of references to high tech. The end result is dizzying and awful.
-
Oct 2, 2014I really wanted to like this show. It's just too cheesy. The idea behind it has so much potential, yet there is too much unexplained and too much drama. Keep trying to give it a chance, but so far it has been a let down. Needs better writing.
-
Oct 7, 2014Just can't take the seriously. Finished the first 3 episodes, and it's absolutely stock full of techno blather. Enough to make anyone non-computer illiterate go insane.
-
Sep 22, 2014This is really bad. Although I looked forward to it, and thought I would enjoy the premise. It is so completely implausible as to be ridiculous. Absurd. Certainly no Big Bang. On another channel at the same time you can be entertained. This show has nothing to offer in any way at all.

Sep 25, 2014A show about smart people written by people who are not smart? It was just ridiculous how implausible 95% of the dialog was. Every situation was laughable. I have no problems with scenarios that are "Hollywood" if it at least makes sense and provides entertainment. Concept of the show is great. execution / writing is absolutely horrendous. Character selection also leaves a lot to be desired.

Oct 9, 2014Stupidest genius ever, unrealistic, flat, boring, she is pretty but Walter is a fraud and you can see it even here.. ridiculous plot...... my eyes are bleeding
-
Oct 28, 2014I was excited for this show and its concept. Was a bit concerned for its success after the first couple episodes. I feel the actors have found their characters sense and am really enjoying the show. Also, Katherine McPhee seems much more comfortable in this role than on 'Smash'.

Oct 2, 2014Really bad. Too much talk about unbelievable technology and the quirks of characters. The writers miss the simplest solutions to problems in order to overwhelm the audience with the spectacular. It misses.

Sep 25, 2014The problems with shows like this is that the characters are usually smarter than the writers. Turn off grid power to defeat a cipher lock? Wow Einstein himself (who apparently would not be smart enough to make the cut on this team) would be amazed. CBS tends to wait longer before canceling shows but if this one lasts a month it will be a terrible waste of advertiser dollars.

Oct 16, 2014I think this is a great idea for the show . but even with the interest for nerdy concepts this is beyond ridiculous.... guys why watch it this show, it is not going to make it for the second season . the thing i don't get it is , why the heck he is constantly bringing up Einstein in this.

Sep 23, 2014Scorpion 1.1 delivers EXACTLY what you expect. Meaning it’s a carbon copy of scores of other shows about teams of geeks/nerds working for the police/government. This team isn't even particularly likable. Yawn.

Sep 23, 2014The pilot episode was awesome! Want more :) The characters are very interesting. I think that over the time the situations that they will be put in will also be more realistic. For now, this is very fine with me.
-
Oct 13, 2014Wow. Tonight's episode; so stupid I feel dumb trying to explain things it gets wrong in first ten minutes. These geniuses need way smarter writers. Cast has some talent.
-
Oct 13, 2014After numerous seasons of mediocrity on television, I am happy to have found Scorpion. I usually enjoy action based shows, but am sick of the typical police dramas that seem to have occupied the airwaves. Scorpion manages to put a bunch of 'geniuses' together in a show I look forward to on a weekly basis.
-
Sep 23, 2014Awesome. We totally loved it. Lots of action, and a nice bunch of characters that each have their challenges. No one of them is the infallible hero type. They are heroes because they use their talents to help others.
Anyway why can't a 'bunch of nerds' be the leads in a show, it worked for Big Bang Theory. -
Sep 23, 2014The show was everything it was designed to be, flash, over the top and fun to watch. Although there isn't a recognisable star actor i'm not that bothered by it. I look forward to seeing what the writers can come up with next....

Sep 23, 2014Normally, I agree with the critic reviews. However, based on the pilot this show was a 10. Don't know why we view this show so differently. It does have the possibility of becoming mundane, but if they have complex problems to solve every week, and not your crime of the week, it could be great.
-
Oct 16, 2014bad bad, i give up, good idea crappy execution, and way too many cliches.. It will be cancelled very soon,, sadly CBS is pushing the Continous **** about Walter Charlatan O'Brien all the time..

Oct 5, 2014I like it. I love anything to do with geniuses improbable or not, particularly when it is based on someone's life as it is the case in this show. I found the show entertaining, the team endearing, the background story touching, I have DVR'd the following shows and seen the second and liked it as well. I cannot imagine the series lasting a long time, but long enough to make me happy. Thank you
-
Jan 12, 2015Series about a think-tank of geniuses, excellent production, great writing and very believable acting makes for an excellent series in my book! There hasn't been a single episode so far where I've actually rolled my eyes...and I'm usually fairly hard to impress!
-
Nov 25, 2014I am shocked by this ratings!
seriously, I do like this show... a lot. it's pretty funny and interesting. it's something else, not your usual TV crime series, not another detective or CSI show.
would rate it 8, but in face of these low ratings, I go full 10/10 to even the overall score out a little bit! -
Sep 22, 2014Not bad. Interesting first episode with potential. Much will depend on how the show handles the integration of. The Katherine McPhee character with the scorpions....
-
Oct 6, 2014Loved this show. Great character development in the first two episodes. Sure some predictable moments, but it's based enough on the true life of the lead character to be intriguing (so if you are negative about it, I would say you haven't done any research). Stay with this one, it's going to be a sleeper if you don't like it now.
-
Sep 29, 2014Complex characters, dynamic character interactions, fast plot pacing, great scripting and solid production quality—overall my favorite new show in at least the last five years.
-
Sep 28, 2014great show , some of the " reviews" pissed me off thu. if the person reviewing think there was 2 much tech jargons, just for the scripts says "router" and "auto backup" , this show is not for you , you more likely watch kim k and honnybobobo , enjoy your stupidity for ever .
Great show based on a great man life story , finally tv show this generation can watch , keep the good work -

Nov 26, 2014I have to say I am really enjoying this series. I love the variety of challenges that they face. That they solve the problems using a wide range of disciplines, from computer Science, psychology, engineering and just ol' guts and detective work, the show works for me.
-
Nov 2, 2014I like the show but feel it is going in the wrong direction with the waitress. Just write her out. She doesn't help the team and the story of a love interest between her and Walter would definitely be cheesy.
-
Dec 2, 2014If you are expecting a realistic show, Scorpion is not the show for you. However, I like the plot and the characters. The characters can be a little overdone, but they certainly fit the proverbial role they are designed as in the group.

Dec 26, 2014It's very fun to watch. Sure, they tend to use given "formulas" but it's still enjoyable. Some critics should chill a little, just get a popcorn, and enjoy the ride. I'm just wondering WHEN will Ralph get to help in one of their cases.
-
Jan 4, 2015Love this show. My only problem with the show is the disgusting portrayal of the character with MS. It's just insulting. I know a few people with MS and they are far FAR worse off and still don't lean on the "I'm dying" crutch every chance they get.
-
Jan 4, 2015I love it, I am obsessed! The characters are lovely and the plot is not bad at all. Sometimes a tad bit unrealistic, but still very enjoyable! I don't understand it at all why people give it such a bad rep. I for one love this show and will continue to watch it. Once you get into it, you will love it too!
-
Jan 10, 2015The negative reviews on this new show are ridiculous. It's not the best show ever, but it's intriguing, quirky, fun, and a little intense at times. I really enjoy it.
-
Jan 20, 2015Scorpion could of been a great show.. But now with Drew causing problems the show is quickly going down hill. If he causes any real problems the show is history..
-
Feb 11, 2015Really enjoy watching the distinct personalities of these genius agents. Although, an unlikely story, it is just fun to watch. The idea of a genius child, who needs someone to understand him is a reality. Each character has a lot left to be developed and the story could go far with good writing I look forward to seeing where it goes

Apr 23, 2015Good old fashioned show, without any vampires or artistic pretensions. Just a bunch of geeks trying to help people episodes after episodes, with humor and without violence. Kinda like MacGyver, if you think about it. don't listen to the Internet and give it a try!
-
Apr 28, 2015I love this show! It has some of everything. I hope to see season 2. I am so tired of the vampires, zombies, war shows. I work with computers and even though some of this stuff seems unreal; give the kids today a few years and it will be closer to reality than we want to admit.
-
Apr 28, 2015I love this show. It isn't mindless or stupid and that is a nice change of pace. I just found this show and am looking forward to getting caught up on it. I hope they keep this one going. Thank you!
-
May 18, 2015This show is amazing and the characters are portrayed by very talented actors. I love this show. I'm disgusted with the "Critics" and why they have so many mixed reviews on this show. Do they even take interest in this genre of a show? Do they even know what the hell they are talking about? Did they even give the show a try? Every time I watch this show, it sucks me right in.
-
May 22, 2015I love this show and Walter's character seems so real. I can relate to him. He acts like such a jerk and has no clue on why people are offended by him. Page is a great communicator. Page and Walter together are opposites and they are definitely attracted. The whole teach of geniuses are over the top in there phobias which makes the show fun and interesting.
Awards & Rankings
-
Eddie Kaye Thomas is fun as the occasionally felonious brainiac psychologist, but the rest of the characters are pretty one-dimensional, that one dimension being their social awkwardness.
-
A very good idea but executed in the pilot with too much sap and manipulation.
-
Scorpion tries to get action-heavy in its final act, with the brain trust preventing an aviation disaster at LAX, and for a brief interlude, the show has a glimmer of momentum--but it's undercut by how ludicrous the whole setup is, how unnatural the dialogue is, and how impossible it feels to care what happens to any of these people.
