I also like it for reasons that may make others uncomfortable ... that being, it places black characters outside of the Rapper/Drug Dealer/Athlete box that has become commonplace in movies and television. Consequently, I enjoy watching an upbeat positive show with a talented and integrated cast that recognizes a black man (or anyone else for that matter) can be as smart as Sherlock Holmes :-) Expand

I'm not very picky, but darn this is bad. It's visually nice: Miami, the actors/actresses, the shooting is OK... and that's it. The acting is bad, the plot is ridiculous, the dialog is horrendous at times.
Unless you're very much into eye candy, there's 10+ better cops shows to spend time on.

Love this show! I don't care what others say I find it entertaining and the crimes riveting, they're not as obvious as other crime dramas in the whodunit stakes. Refreshing!

Lasted 5 minutes. Our hero sees a body that's fallen from a building and without missing a beat tells us why he did it. He's smarter than Sherlock, and he's Black too! He rattles off medical terminology to make your head spin.

I do not understand the negative reviews here: sure - it's not a heavyweight murder mystery, but it has enjoyable banter between the leads, with the required sexual tension, third wheels on both sides and it is developing a serious running plot to go with the sub-plots involving minor characters. What a pity! Morris Chestnut is a good-looking fellow who is also a well above average actor. He has acquitted himself quite well on Broadway and on some cable dramas that deserve better audiences than they have received.

“Rosewood” does not deserve a bigger audience. The title itself is unfortunate. When I first saw it as an upcoming show, I assumed it was about the horrific

“Rosewood” does not deserve a bigger audience. The title itself is unfortunate. When I first saw it as an upcoming show, I assumed it was about the horrific Rosewood, Florida 1923 massacre and destruction of an all-black rural town. Promising. Well it’s not about that at all. It’s a cheesy police with medical director over-the-top procedural. Kind of Rizzoli and Isles without the cast chemistry and without the humor.

The director of “Rosewood” has apparently noticed that its first show is really badly written. The solution? Deliver every line at high speed with a snarky attitude.

Give it up, guys. Go find a decent vehicle for Morris Chestnut!

Freelance medical examiner. Huh? Who has to force his way into police investigations. Say what? The banter is ludicrous. Lots of Sexy bodies. Yawn! I gave it 2 tries not going to give it a third.

This wasn't the worst new show I've seen so far this fall, but it's hardly the best. There was a smugness about the characters that didn't work well for me. And the rest of the plot felt a bit like a by-the-numbers experience. Still, there are worse shows on FOX this fall.

His character of Doctor Rosewood is unique in some aspects compared to counterparts on similar programs. Having said that my criticism of the show is that after a few episodes "Rosewood" started falling into the same old 'will they or won't they' category when it comes to relationship between Rosewood and Detective Villa. As for Detective Villa's character, she went from being a tough as nail cop who is dealing with personal loss to how many tighter tank-tops and blue jeans can she fit into each episode. This show did have the potential of being something different but fell into the same format rut as other cop/partner shows. It is no wonder "Rosewood" was cancelled after two seasons. The writers ran out of ideas. Expand

Show has been fun to watch. Now that it has a full season maybe slow down the whole romance thing. It's set in Miami can we not get the troupe of the same dead people dying the same way across all shows in the same genre. Also how does Rosewood have more connections than most Mob bosses?

My favorite show on TV! A well written crime show, without all the gore present in most murder porn! The characters are well developed, and I often laugh out loud. You would think that with all the mystery murder crime shows out there that everything would be old or done before, but this show is fresh and fun! So glad they are doing a second season!

I was so disappointed with Rosewood after the advertising and looking forward to a great American series which im a fan of.
Bad script, Too much storyline darting about and should focus more on Rosewood and 1 partner and either sack or teach the black lab assistant to act and talk slower and less voice pitch so I can actually hear what she says otherwise I miss the storyline. It may

It may settle down but an opportunity lost for me im afraid. Hope the actor appears in another show.

Chicana PD and a black charming professional are so alive together it shows how it can be without extra tension existing in many communities. In this aspect, the show is not so much about crimes as about possibilities of relationship for me.
Rizzoli and Isles was interesting not so much for crimes solved but for the camaraderie, mutual understanding and development of friendships. If

A série é visualmente agradável: Miami, os atores, a fotografia... Fora isso, a atuação não é nada de especial, o enredo é ridículo e os diálogos são desagradáveis e nada engraçados.

Rosewood still seems like something you’ve watched before. It’s like Burn Notice meets Royal Pains interrupted by Cops.

Rosewood can be fun in spots, but more often is way over-cooked.
