    Jack Reacher is a huge, handsome man with each episode offering at least three opportunities to admire his shirtless physique. Reacher is a taciturn, unlikable loner whose sole purpose in life is to mete Reacher justice (no trials necessary) to the wrongdoers of the land.

    The plot of this series requires you to set your Suspension of Disbelief meter to the max and even then you should    Jack Reacher is a huge, handsome man with each episode offering at least three opportunities to admire his shirtless physique. Reacher is a taciturn, unlikable loner whose sole purpose in life is to mete Reacher justice (no trials necessary) to the wrongdoers of the land.

    The plot of this series requires you to set your Suspension of Disbelief meter to the max and even then you should try to turn the dial a bit higher. There is just not very much that is plausible in the plotting of the entire series.

    But if all you are interested in is watching a macho man and his cohorts scything their way through a small army of miscreants, you might enjoy this series.    … Expand

    Fortunately for the series, [Alan Ritchson is] gifted enough—and has a sufficient sense of understated humor—to sell a Reacher-worthy combination of menace, cynicism and even grudging warmth. It's something that helps make the show one of the more watchable on TV, where there's certainly no shortage of crime series.

    It is a show that knows exactly what it is and what it needs to be, providing an entertaining catharsis in seeing Reacher take down those who abuse their power. He is capable of just about anything, for better or worse. ... Whatever path Reacher ends up taking, as long as he is played by Ritchson, the material is in good hands.
