As a late in life gay man, I actually really liked all the episodes, but in episode three where they help a beautiful black gay man named AJ come out to his step mom was extra special. Him and his boyfriend are mighty fine.... I thought each episode was sincere and heart warming. Then in episode 2 where a white police man and a black man have a moment , it is hard to fabricate and force the sincerity they were sharing, and I felt it could help a lot of straight men relate to gay men or white men relate to black men. The USA needs the kind of healing this show can offer. The little touches they add which are unique to each makeover really draw you in as an audience. Maybe I could get a makeover one day too!!

Get all your straight friends and family to watch, they'll love it!!!

Initially the cynic/sceptic in me kept me from enjoying this show wholeheartedly, but episode by episode Queer Eye gradually won me over. Some aspects of it still felt questionable, whether they were kinda calculated, faked or simply staged for the camera, but in the end it just didn't really matter. Some aspects of it still felt questionable, whether they were kinda calculated, faked or simply staged for the camera, but in the end it just didn't really matter. It's a show that deals with subjects, especially masculinity, acceptance etc. that are as relevant and important as ever. I remember watching the original back in the day thinking it was a very entertaining show, but I do think this 2018 reboot is a lot better: it's more nuanced, emotional and fun. The fab five seem like lovely fellas and the show is just generally a gay ol' time. Expand

I love this show so much and it is really entertaining, funny, heartbreaking, and heartwarming. I get emotional and cry like every episode. The casting was phenomenal, I love everyone of the Fab Five, they are funny, have outstanding chemistry, and are really nice to the people they are making over, they are never rude or judgemental they just really want to help. Out of the Fab Five I just love Antoni. I just love the theme song I sing along every time it plays and they picked the perfect singer to perform it Betty Who's voice on the song is stupendous. This is my favorite new show of 2018, my favorite reality show of all time, my 2nd favorite Netflix original show, and one of my favorite shows of all time, this was a A+ first season. Expand

One of the best series out there. In the world that's becoming increasingly balkanized, it is so good to be reminded that at our core, we are all just human and there are more things that unite than separate us. The creators came up with the show that's kind, and funny, and inspiring without being precious about it. Another cool thing is that there is reciprocity of influence. I don't want to include any spoilers, but there are ways in which "heroes" contribute to the worldview or the attitudes of the Fab 5 as well. There are meaningful, much needed conversations happening in every episode, not to mention all the practical advice, jokes, and beautiful people. Expand

It is great, great TV. Much credit goes to the group of highly watchable experts, whose breakout stars include Karamo, a satin-swathed bro whisperer; Jonathan, a whirligig of sass and kilts and moisturizing wisdom; and Antoni, the self-consciously pretty boy and supposed food whiz. Their targets are nicely varied and likable, too.

The world now seems less binary, and the show has grown more limber and less campy.

The Queer Eye reboot finds perhaps even more pathos than the original one. The transformation in the premiere episode is a heartwarming hoot. But with a cast of attention-seeking experts who too often steal focus from the proverbial mission at hand, it can be as exhausting and, at times, even as cringe-inducing as some have feared.
