It's a worthy and modern next chapter in the Quantum Leap legacy. Ben as the leaper is fantastic and the chemistry with the rest of the cast is developing nicely. The mystery as to why Ben leaped is a nice addition, and the callbacks to the OG QL are icing on the cake. Expand

This review contains spoilers, click expand to view. I'm really enjoying this reboot. I loved the original and I love that this one is paying homage to Sam and Al. Great idea to put Magic as head of the program.

At first, I wasn't sure about wanting to bother with the people in the present, but then, in the original, I remembered that I had wondered about what was going on in the future. The future plotline is growing on me.

I have to say, though, I'm struggling, much like the characters are, with what on earth could make Ben leap in secret with the help of Janice Callavicci and risk his whole life and future. And, if he comes back, he has to know his future will not be a good one. He has some questions to answer. Ben just doesn't strike me as a 'throw it all away' guy. He seems like he's a lot like Sam Beckett... loyal, moral, tries to do the best he can. That's not a guy that skulks around on his girlfriend and betrays everyone and everything he's worked for. I guess we'll find out eventually. In the meantime, I'm enjoying the show and the leaps. I hope they can do a crossover one day and actually find Sam, even if they don't bring him home.

It took the first two episodes to fully develop the characters so all of them make sense now. And the overall story arc is the best part as it matches the original: Ben and Addison (and team) leave things better after they leave than it was before they arrive. Just like Sam and Al. Bravo!

I find myself looking forward to the next episode, just as I did with the original. Highly recommended!

Ben needs to be more subtle talking to his love, as no one can see or hear her but him, at times, it looks and sounds ridiculous. Speaking of his love, her character is to self absorbed for my taste. Rest of the actors are great I love them. Gotta bring back Scott, at least once, for old times sake! This series could really go far with a bit of hard work on everyone's part. Expand
