Fill it with see through screens and flashing lights. Write a bunch of sciency sounding dialogue. Oh oh oh. Don't forget to talk about all the AI. Because AI is basically science magic and ooooooooooh, aaaaaaaaah, AI. Mix in an attractive love interest, a sciency looking tech genius and a wise older guy who runs the place. Hold the humour and interesting characters that made the original a classic the first place. Oh and reference the original character to play the nostalgia angle.

In the original Quantum Leap, you cared what happened to Sam and if he was ever going to jump back home. Even though you knew he wouldn't. The 3 main characters worked perfectly together to create interesting characters and stories. It was different and interesting. This is just another generic sci-fi show that tries to cash in on nostalgia. But there's no amount of nostalgia that cann help it.

WOW.This could be the worst thing to happen to T.V in a long time. Awful in every sense of the word. Bad acting and horrible writing. Just a massive insult to the fantastic original series. Somewhere Dean Stockwell is rolling in his grave.

I think Raymond Lee is fine but he is too serious and needs to lighten up. They need to switch out Addison for the non-binary person Ian to be Ben’s Al or counterpart in the chamber that travels with Ben. The chemistry between Addison/Ben is too heavy because of the romance, that is why Ian needs to be his Al to lighten the story and make it fun. Addison needs to be the one at headquarters frantically working with Magic(Erine Hudson) behind the scenes to get Ben home and figuring out the mystery of why Ben leaped in the first place that it give more depth and a sense urgency. I really wanted to like this show….and I’ll continue to watch it’s eventual cancellation. Overall way too much story about the team back at HQ. The whole point of Quantum Leap was between Sam and Al. First, there couldn't be a sequel if anyone paid attention to what happened in the original's finale. Sam fixed Al's history, making it so the love of his life waited for him to get home from Vietnam. Therefore, Al never got involved in the program. Anyways... This show's main story is why Ben went into the QL chamber. The leaps themselves are secondary to the present's mystery. The leap is supposed to be the main focus and the fun and the interesting part of the show. Ernie Hudson should be the replacement Al; get rid of the love interest woman because their on-screen chemistry is non-existent. The actor that plays Ben is decent. Fire everyone else. Make the leap story the main focus. Expand

When I watched the trailer I knew this could happen, but I was hoping I would be wrong. And unfortunately I was not. This "sequel" doesn't feel like a sequel at all.

If you watched the original 1989 show then you know all the problems in that time, more than less exist in what the show says is 2022. So basically technology apparently didn't progressed at all in 33 years.

The character is still sent through time into the body of another person, and has to complete a series of tasks before he can come back. Which he doesn't because he'll keep leaping from several periods in time to others. Essentially the same story of 1989.

The series is trying to make itself more interesting than what it is, by already showing a possible cabal that might also have ties to the project the main character was involved in, and quite possibly another group also time traveling. They were so sloppy in the way they brought things up, that they basically already revealed what the show will be all about.

Maybe it will get better with time. All I know is that for a first episode it left several things wanting.

The show should've at least improved on the original concept, and started from a point where the main character was attempting to correct the timeline. That had been messed around by someone else, before the effects hit the present.

Why this exists? The original classic title told a story with quantum leaps. The 2022 version - leaps with... scenes generally resembling the inferred story, but to be made sense of later. Author quantum leaped fast-forward. No sense. Can't exist.
