Sep 26, 2018i Just finished watching Season 2 and i have to say, it's even better than season 1. It's a great show and should win awards. It's got a great cast with good plots, action, violence, etc... it's totally engrossing. I highly recommend!

Sep 12, 2018I found Ozark binge worthy. Suspenseful, great cast, great photography, loved it

Aug 9, 2017Aside from Animal Kingdom, this is probably the best new series I have watched this year. It's kind of like Breaking Bad but better. Jason Bateman is incredible!!!
On a side note, it seems like so-called critics seem to rate down netlfix shows. This show is top notch and definitely better than the average critic rating of 67. Critics are a joke!! -
Jul 27, 2017"Breaking Bad" meets "Sons of Anarchy". Best new show of 2017 by far. Thrilling, poignant, edge of your seat, and likable main character you will relate to and root for. Brilliant!

Jul 30, 2017This show is up there with the best on Netflix right now. Great acting, suspenseful. This is easily a 90/100 in my opinion. Don't listen to the negatives. The rating this show received from this site is laughable.

Aug 9, 2017Clever suspenseful writing makes Ozark refreshing, Bateman's character is believable and complex.
The story arc is unpredictable, which keeps the audience intrigued
Comparing it to BB is natural, but the show stands on it's own. -
Aug 24, 2017In the realm of dark comedy, this hits a high note. Excellent cast combined with unexpected twists and original plot make this is a show I will keep watching.

Jul 21, 2017The acting, directing and writing are all brilliant. Both Jason Bateman and Laura Linney shine in their respective roles and mold characters that you develop so many thoughts and opinions about. The cinematography is beautiful and enhances the overall tone and mood of the show.

Jul 21, 2017This series really struck me. The two lead performances really carry on the show and make everything about it so great. Ozark takes the best aspects of many series and makes a truly improved one. It is quite spectacular.

Jul 21, 2017A terrific show made by Netflix. Netflix really knows how to produce a wonderful series that gets everyone thinking. The direction and writing are always sharp and crisp. The acting is top notch and everything works together to create magic.

Jul 21, 2017Jason Bateman has found his home. Brilliant acting from both him and Laura Linney in this excellent thriller, mystery. Already watched 5 episodes (binge watching) and cannot wait to see episode 6. The cinematography is perfect for where the filming takes place and adds to the underlying feeling of doubt as to what is going to happen next. Can't wait for Season 2.

Jul 25, 2017Loved, loved it. Great acting, story, writing... I usually don't like mafia drug violence shows but this one is much more subtle and gut wrenching. Hoping for a season 2 very quick. Good job guys!!!

Jul 25, 2017This is a great show it has some of Breaking Bad, Justified and Banshee blended together. Bateman's character is similar to many of his others and his reactions seemed a bit "off" until you get some back story in ep 8 but overall I thought it has what it takes to be a big hit. Refreshingly good, glad to have found it and can't wait for season 2.

Jul 27, 2017The comparison is accurate, this is most certainly the new Breaking Bad. The dark edgy tone of this show is sure to keep you in front of the television. Best show of 2017.

Jul 29, 2017Great show on the level of Weeds and Breaking Bad... Love the characters and cannot wait for next season. The season finale was a real killer... you will not want to miss this one. Jason Bateman and Laura Linney are amazing and the casting is perfect with all sorts of odd characters. A MUST WATCH..

Jul 30, 2017Good show, and the entire cast is great. It moves along well with you hoping it will turn into a longer series, especially if you've been binge watching!! There are some really bad dudes in this story.

Jul 31, 2017Most addictive show I've watched since the Sopranos. Love it, pure and simple. The ensemble cast is perfect. I hope it continues forward for years and years !!!

Aug 2, 2017I have been waiting for a new series that would keep me interested and Ozark has done it! I can't wait until the next season! Best show by far on Netflix!

Aug 2, 2017Don't like to compare to other shows so I won't. This show is a MUST SEE. Drawn in by the first two episodes. Glad my hubby won't let me overindulge or this one would have been an all-nighter. Jason Bateman and Laura Linney are fantastic. Hoping they both get nominated for an award. Only thing I don't like is that I have to wait for Season 2.

Aug 6, 2017Dark show about a financial advisor getting caught up with the Mexican Cartels. Great acting, funny (but very dark humor,) violent and action packed. Great character development, beautiful scenery, great story. Pay attention, you might miss something important! I LOVED this show, binge watched 3 episodes on 1 night, and 7 the next....couldn't stop watching!

A lot of this would play more thrillingly if the characters didn’t seem as wooden; if the series felt like it was written to serve more than just a need to present power plays.
-
Ozark’s insistence on presenting the grimiest version of its story possible stands in the way of explaining why anything within its universe is happening. The presentation and the characters and the smug tone eventually coalesce into something deeply irritating. ... Ozark is offensive and doesn’t understand why it’s offensive.
-
The show has an occasionally suspenseful twist. (Electrocution in the water: Watch out!) But as it proceeds, Ozark takes way too long to make a few good points and to showcase a few good performances, most prominently Jason Bateman’s.
