    If you love Orange Is The New Black, you’re going to be pleased with the way the new season unfolds. If you’re more skeptical of its ongoing strength, you may feel, as I did, that some of the show’s irritating habits have increased.

It's not any more subtle than before, but what's the point of subtlety when dealing with issues of such immediate prescience? A wounded animal isn't exactly going to whimper quietly.

    It's pretty much exactly what we've come to expect from Orange. Good characters, great acting, and the overall message that even though someIt's pretty much exactly what we've come to expect from Orange. Good characters, great acting, and the overall message that even though some people might be **** they're really all just people trying to get by in the world.

    The big con is that the series has become so bloated with characters that the whole thing feels a bit schizophrenic. You barely spend more than 5 minutes even with the feature characters in an episode and each episode features a half dozen small stories that don't necessarily mesh at all. I really enjoy the development of the side characters, but I'd really like to see more focus.    … Full Review »
