Jun 2, 2022I thought it was great, 7.5-8.0/10 based on the first three episodes, with room for improvement. Ignore the Metacritic trolls; the critics have this about right.

Jun 4, 2022I was skeptical at first but the 3rd episode really won me over. Loving this peek at this part of the Skywalker saga timeline. Young Leia delivers many of her lines like a sassy young Carrie Fisher might. And I need to know more about the Third Sister!

May 28, 2022I don’t agree with a lot of the criticism about the show. Sure the starts a little slow but it’s full of nostalgia and Ewan is great! Maybe the whole Leia rescue isn’t the most captivating story, but I doubt the show is going to revolve around that. There will be more planets and more action. I’m confident there will be plenty of surprises to come. Still plenty of time left.

Jun 3, 2022I am loving this show! Can't wait for the next episode. Showing the effect that Anakin's falling to the dark side has on Obi is great. We get to see that not only Anakin was affected but so was Obi. We can sense his guilt at failing Anakin.

Obi-Wan had a larger problem: It was dumb as a rock. Simple rules of spatial logic went out the window. Main characters kept almost killing each other, and then walking away long enough for their wounded opponent could recover.

McGregor is wholly up to the challenge of shouldering the emotional weight of this series, which feels less like a cynical cash grab (despite being that) than a natural continuation of the saga that Lucas crafted more than two decades ago.

Ewan McGregor was last seen as Obi-Wan, he brings more depth, more of a world-weary wisdom to the role. ... As is the case with many a “Star Wars” title, the dialogue sometimes borders on the corny, but director Deborah Chow (“The Mandalorian”) has a keen sense of pacing and a distinct visual style that holds our interest even in the quieter moments. “Obi-Wan Kenobi” is off to a roaring start.
