For the first two episodes i think it was ok. I hope that the last four episodes will get better.

I didn't know the series had started until the controversy. I'm so happy now because I have binge watched 3 episodes. Not all characters are likeable but that is normal in any story. This FEELS like an old school Star Wars movie and I'm here for it. I still remember going to the theater at the age of 7 and watching the first one on the big screen. I'm all in.

I was skeptical about how much they could really fit in to this period of time, but this show is phenomenal! The acting is superb (and as a struggling actor myself, I’m picky about that), the story is wonderful and evocative, the scripting and directing are terrific. Look, if you’ve got to make a sports metaphor out of performance art, every episode is like a home run derby. Aside from some weird logic and shaky cinematography, Obi-Wan Kenobi is narratively strong, bolstered by great performances and the quality special effects one has come to expect from Lucasfilm.

Evan is Evan, does good job. Casting for imperial characters in my opinion not so good. They could use more energy and determination in acting. Instead, they talk a lot about the obsession to find Jedi, but then it's just talking. The worst parts are tension scenes, which miss the edge - I did not feel real danger. Chase scenes are even a bit silly. Let's hope (like always), that the rest will hold up. Expand

I thought it was great, 7.5-8.0/10 based on the first three episodes, with room for improvement. Ignore the Metacritic trolls; the critics have this about right.

I really enjoy the this far. It shows you a broken man long after his glory. He’s lost everything, his eyes are on one goal. Yet gets pulled out of that roll for the possible better future.

Hello there! Great show so far, great characters and actors, in my opinion this is the best star wars mini series to date.

Strong acting helps to elevate a fairly generic story. The action scenes will hopefully improve as the episodes progresses as they are the weakest parts.

I am loving this show! Can't wait for the next episode. Showing the effect that Anakin's falling to the dark side has on Obi is great. We get to see that not only Anakin was affected but so was Obi. We can sense his guilt at failing Anakin.

Don’t let the Fandom Menace fool you into thinking this show is no good. It’s a masterpiece that isn’t pushing any agenda or ideals like other SW properties have been accused of.
The only controversy associated with this series is the viewership that call themselves SW fans, and push their own agenda instead of enjoying a great show.

This review contains spoilers, click expand to view. Such a fantastic show so far. Between the story, the characters, the connections with other Star Wars media, the cameos, and the acting…Just Bravo. Little Leia is an absolutely amazing addition as is 3rd Sister Reva (Youngling from the order 66 scene anyone?) Episodes 2 and 3 kept me on the edge of my seat and the cliffhangers keep me craving more. Ewan is again fantastic as Kenobi as well as Hayden as both Anakin and Vader and it was so wonderful for James Earl Jones, Jimmy Smits, and Joel Edgerton to reprise their roles. I fully understand now why Ewan was genuinely afraid to act with Vader. Absolutely ruthless portrayal of Darth Vader at his prime that was more than due. I hadn’t been so scared of him since playing Fallen Order! Taking off a half star until Kenobi says "Hello there" Expand

This show is amazing! Granted I am a Star Wars geek but it re-fueled my passion for the fandom. Ewan McGregor and the rest of the cast is phenomenal. I also think Moses Ingram, a new addition to the Star Wars Universe is a great actor! Thak You for this incredible series!

This show is incredible. It’s even easier to rewatch than Mandalorian - which at the time was the best recent thing Star Wars had released. The releases keep getting better and it’s clear the future of Star Wars is TV

Honestly, a series I always wanted, to see how broken Kenobi became to be Ben. It has everything needed for nostalgia of the prequels that I grew up with.

Obi-Wan had a larger problem: It was dumb as a rock. Simple rules of spatial logic went out the window. Main characters kept almost killing each other, and then walking away long enough for their wounded opponent could recover.

McGregor is wholly up to the challenge of shouldering the emotional weight of this series, which feels less like a cynical cash grab (despite being that) than a natural continuation of the saga that Lucas crafted more than two decades ago.

Ewan McGregor was last seen as Obi-Wan, he brings more depth, more of a world-weary wisdom to the role. ... As is the case with many a “Star Wars” title, the dialogue sometimes borders on the corny, but director Deborah Chow (“The Mandalorian”) has a keen sense of pacing and a distinct visual style that holds our interest even in the quieter moments. “Obi-Wan Kenobi” is off to a roaring start.
