Jul 22, 2022Obi-Wan is a painfully mediocre series. It exits and that’s about all you can say.
-
Jul 14, 2022Campy, cheesy. Unneeded. But fans needs something. I think it milks something out of Leia's and Obi-Wan's dynamic. And it felt like the unresolved issues between Obi and Anakin were resolved. but this wasn't needed. Disney going too far to add to their world, but I'm not really interested.

Jun 22, 2022Mediocre attempt that does not warrant its existence. Some interesting scenes but bad writing brings this show down hard.

Jun 6, 2022Dark side characters try too hard to be mysterious and evil. A lot of things that don't make sense. Writing isn't all that good. Nowhere near as good as Mando so far.

Jun 3, 2022Loving watching Kenobi and Vader in action again. Living every minute of it. Being immersed in Star Wars again is awesome
-
Jun 3, 2022Has good moments, but not a good compliment to A New Hope, Revenge of the Sith or the established character of Obi-Wan Kenobi.

May 31, 2022I think that the series is not writen for the character Obi-Wan, the series is writen for the new character Reva in an Obi-Wan series. Everything outside of Obi-Wans scenes is boring and has a lack of character continuity. The show is not a disaster, but It feels deflating to watch this series.

May 31, 2022Could've and should've been better. Unfortunate for Ewan to be the crux of the entire show . An unsatisfying slow burn it feels like it's mire focused on what will happen rather than the how.
-
May 31, 2022It's a shame because they had great ingredients to cook a delicious meal and they ended up serving average pizza.

May 30, 2022great art department and Ewan is excellent as always, but feels more like the prequel trilogy than other recent shows like Mando. Weak writing, weak directing, weak editing... hope it gets better.

May 29, 2022I am not gonna lie, the show, feels very off, almost like a cartoon, there are a ton of punches which were pulled, some reveals are just plain stupid, villian is eh, still watchable , but very much an EH show

May 28, 20222 things ruined this show in an instant.
1. The god awful Leia chase scene in the woods.
2. Killing off the only Villain character I was enjoying in Episode 2. -

Obi-Wan had a larger problem: It was dumb as a rock. Simple rules of spatial logic went out the window. Main characters kept almost killing each other, and then walking away long enough for their wounded opponent could recover.
-
McGregor is wholly up to the challenge of shouldering the emotional weight of this series, which feels less like a cynical cash grab (despite being that) than a natural continuation of the saga that Lucas crafted more than two decades ago.

Ewan McGregor was last seen as Obi-Wan, he brings more depth, more of a world-weary wisdom to the role. ... As is the case with many a “Star Wars” title, the dialogue sometimes borders on the corny, but director Deborah Chow (“The Mandalorian”) has a keen sense of pacing and a distinct visual style that holds our interest even in the quieter moments. “Obi-Wan Kenobi” is off to a roaring start.
