It felt totally out of character for Obi Wan, Vader, etc. to act in some of the ways they did in this series. It really felt like any time any character did anything, I had to sit there and question why on earth they'd do that. And that doesn't make for a fun watch. The cinematography, production and choreography was lazy, and the show dragged like crazy. It's a huge shame because I was so excited for this series, I really did want to love it, as a huge Star Wars fan. But this series was just disappointment after disappointment. Except for Ewan and Hayden; their acting was awesome, as always! Expand

So let me get this straight. A 10 year old gets kidnapped and taken off of her planet and she tells her captors that she isnt scared of them. Right. So believable. And worse still, apparently this 10 year old is smarter than Obi Wan Kenobi. What a stupid show. Shame on the stupid morons who made this joke of a show.

Cringe dialogue, plot holes everywhere, and unlikable characters all make this a chore to watch. It had a few fun scenes, but they were few and far between.

    Powerful! diverse! brave!

    only joking

It was quite **** , actually hard to believe how far from grace this franchise has fallen. Obi_Wan is yet another hero to be crapped on, to big up characters no one really wants.

There are just two fights to remember, the rest is only there to sell new toy characters. A series that you will watch once, but not several like movies. Speaking of movies: episode III with 68 metacritic from professionals against 73 meta for this cw series. laughable....

Easily the worst TV show of 2022. I cannot believe that this show cost $15 Million per episode. It looks awful. Terrible story, annoying characters and almost no classic John Williams music. Its almost unwatchable. I hope they burn all copies of this disaster so that future Star Wars fans will never know it ever existed...

Ewan is still fantastic in this role. All of the actors are fairly good, doing what they can with what they’re given. The story and scene construction is very poor. Unfortunately, there is nothing good about these series. Cutting a stormtrooper in a half is disgustingly shocking. Its is important to point that unlike the new trilogy, not much time as passed to portrait Obi Wan as weak as old Luke Skylwalker. In fact, Anakin should be weaker after not much time has passed since his surgery.

With all the creative possibilities for an Obi-Wan series, this is what they came up with? This show is full of plot holes. The writing is terrible. The story focus should have been on Obi-Wan and Darth Vadar, not Leia and that inquisitor lady. It doesn't even make sense with the movies. It's forgettable after you watch it. At least for me anyway.

It's like a deja vu of Star Trek Picard. The first two episodes were kind of ok, but every further episode got more and more silly and nonsensical. Is this really the best you can make out of this iconic character? A helpless rehash of Star Wars tropes. Sad.

Ewan McGregor was last seen as Obi-Wan, he brings more depth, more of a world-weary wisdom to the role. ... As is the case with many a “Star Wars” title, the dialogue sometimes borders on the corny, but director Deborah Chow (“The Mandalorian”) has a keen sense of pacing and a distinct visual style that holds our interest even in the quieter moments. “Obi-Wan Kenobi” is off to a roaring start.
