    The problem with New Girl is that it is slightly generic. Don't get me wrong, I enjoy watching it and I like the characters and the chemistry between them. But every week I see what's coming. New Girl has entered its third year and I'm hoping there will be a mix up in the plot and the dynamics of the characters this season.

    A very sitcom trope-y season. The actors and writing still tended to be funnier than not, but most of the situations and plots were tired rehashed "new couple" scenarios for Nick and Jess. Coach (Damon Wayans Jr.) was a great addition to the cast, but is given not nearly enough to do. Schmidt and Cece still have the same storyline for themselves (although Cece's wild transition toA very sitcom trope-y season.     This review contains spoilers, click expand to view. Winston has some more funny moments! Hope they focus little bit less on relationship between Nick and Jess because lot has been about them. Still best show on air! COACH IS BACK! Hilarious episode!… Expand

    New Girl continues to be a consistently funny and interesting show to watch. At times certain supporting characters don't really pull their weight, but it's the performances and usually-good writing that make it worth watching. What keeps the show from being truly excellent is the story progression. Usually things move and play out well but there is a predictability to it that is a bitNew Girl continues to be a consistently funny and interesting show to watch.
