Outstanding and strong performance from Rami Malek. Brilliant and powerful story from Sam Esmail! I have never been hooked like that by a tv series. You can to a certain measure relate to Elliot but like him, you never know what will happen. Psychologically sick, this tv show deserves its Emmy's!

This show is one that will spark your mental fires and leave you questioning your own motivations in

My prediction for this series will either be that you love it or hate it, depending on your disposition to society. But one thing is certain and that being that this show will spark an intense emotional response

This character, Elliot, is really drawing me in. He's so fantastically flawed, beautifully destructive, sane and insane. By the time you're on episode four, the confusion somewhat kicks in. This is okay though, as each character is slowly becoming themselves in the show and synchronizing. I can tell how each character is going to intertwine for the most part - but Elliot is the main attraction. I believe there are people out there who are like him; snorting Morphine 30's and taking Suboxone so he doesn't withdraw - a computer genius and natural poet, and a complete sociopath who abuses his power over computers and the internet to understand the human condition and even himself. This show is well worth your time; I think even the older crowds (I'm 22) - so basically people who would be my parents, can learn something from this show. They can catch a glimpse of what we're all really like: Sociopathic internet nerds who tweet and text and share, passing information around this sterile country as if it's the very air we breath. This show captures the current zeitgeist, or overall spirit of the times - Elliot is just the extremity, of course. I give this show a 10/10 Expand

An original TV show tackling important social topics. The main character portrays issues like depression and loneliness that are not talked about often on TV (and in real life?). Meanwhile the whole premise of the show is a commentary on modern problems - corporate corruption, income inequality, greed, etc. One of the only main characters that I can actually relate to in a way.

It's hard to believe this is a USA show. The cinematography and production quality are top notch. The subject matter might not be accessible to everyone, but for those of us who have been waiting for a show centered around modern technology without it falling into laughable "for dummies" level dialogue, it's pretty much perfect.

As Mr. Robot, Christian Slater is a bit on fun, but Rami Malek is downright captivating and steels the show. His portrayal of Elliot Anderson is brilliant and neither overdone nor understated. You quickly get caught up in his myopic world of paranoia and isolation. Then you discover a person who desperately wants to do the right thing and change the world but who is wildly naive at the same time. The many facets of his personality unfold as the show progresses and you better understand his motives and why he is so very damaged. So to try and explain Mr Robot to your friends? It's a bit like a version of Hackers, where the writers constantly tease us with nods to Fight Club and The Matrix and Trainspotting. But then there's the Marxist philosophy aspect, and the modern dystopia angle, all set to obscure electronica and forgotten schmindie from the 80s. It is both like and unlike anything you will see on TV.

A strong plot with absurd twists, inventive and gorgeous cinematography, and a stellar cast mixing experienced and debutant actors, the only question is if the quality can be maintained.

My only issue with the show is the lack of logic behind the fact that he buys drugs in person, instead of through the Darknet/Tor which he mentions on the show, yet never addresses why he, an addict hacker, doesn't buy drugs off of it. While I get the fact that it adds a meaningful relationship and plot line to the show, it doesn't make sense for him to not use something that is safer, more reliable, and completely inline with his profession and lifestyle.

It's only just been released in "special preview" mode here in Canada, so it will be a bit of a wait to see how it plays out, although, from what we've seen so far, it will be well worth the wait.

I've now had a chance to watch the entire first season of Mr. Robot, and I have to say that despite the weird cyber-speak dialogue, I loved the way it created these bizarre strands of complexity and through the skillful manipulation of the screenplay along with great direction it managed to twist and turn those strands into a very impressive basket of intrigue and suspense. I can hardly wait for the next season.

All of these winning elements are sent into the stratosphere on the shoulders of Ramy Malek's PERFECT performance. I hope to God Hollywood is taking notice of a legend being born right in front of us. Now that I've established the fact that the show is perfect, I need to point something out. All of the negative user reviews are referencing how offended the viewers are by the subject matter of the show. (S&M, gay sex, drug use, etc.) This is a testament to how stupid most people are and how USA is striving to get better content. We live in the Golden Age of Television and FX and AMC are dominating the basic cable programming. A&E released Bates Motel to keep up. History did Vikings. Now USA wants a piece of the action and they chose wisely. Now your typical USA viewer was expecting something "fun for the whole family" and terrible like Royal Pains, and what they got was Mr, Robot. If you're an adult and you can handle non-Christian views in your programming then enjoy. If you're a monster D, don't bother. This show is way above your pay grade. Expand
