Summary: The home of the Hesketh family for many generations, Rufford Old Hall was built by Sir Thomas Hesketh in 1420. Originally it would have had two wings either end of the Great Hall, but over the years there have been major changes to the structure. The West wing is now completely gone and the East wing has been rebuilt.
