This animated Continuation of He-Man and The Masters of the Universe is such a waste opportunity to bring back this 80s Classic. What's good, the animation and voice actors. What's bad, everything else, the characterization of characters like Teela, Men at Arms, King Randor, and others are not true to their essence in the original series, that this show supposedly continues. The show removes or degrade male characters, well because is 2021, instead we follow an unrecognizable Teela, that is immature, self-obsessed, even cruel to her family and friends, what happened to the mature, humble, selfless and loyal Teela that everyone love from the original. To make it short, this is another force indoctrination to please victimized minorities. Expand

Bait and switch woke trash, Kevin Smith lied when he was confronted about the leaks hinting at this.

The plot is terrible, he manages to sideline every man he can, from he-man himself to orko to skeletor, he attempts to create shock but only causes disgust once you realize his end goal, he drives the story with two " strong females who don't need a man to save them or boss them around"

The drawing is okayish, the animation however... I have no idea how professional critics cannot see it to be mediocre at best and instead praise it, I guess they don't realize fluent movement is only done by bursts ( few seconds) in action scenes while it looks like he budgeted the rest of it by skipping frames, very hard to notice to the untrained eye like our professional critics.

Stay away from this agenda remake.

Masters of the Universe without He-Man? Without Skeletor? Are you drunk Kevin Smith?

He-Man fights twice in this season. In the 1st episode, and in the last. And both times he gets destroyed.

You spit on the 130 episodes of the original series, as well as all of its fans.

Shame on you, shame on Netflix for validating this, and shame on Mattel for not preventing this disaster!

This review contains spoilers, click expand to view. This show is terrible. They killed off the main man that everyone wants to see and replace him with a self centered and unsympatic Teela. Then they put just some old Lord of the rings tropes (I mean, even the mage sacrifices himself in a fight with a demon so that the party can escape out of a dungeon into a magic forrest) around the existing plot holes and called it an adult version of the franchise. If you want to get an actual adult reinterpretation of MOTU than read the DC comics. They're way better than this boring thing. Expand

This review contains spoilers, click expand to view. If you want to watch He-Man you will be disappointed. This show does nothing but put He-Man in a negative light. Even in death the character is treated with disdain. Teela is warped into a selfish, overly manly character that the world seems to revolve around. If you liked the original characters you will see them as mere shells of the legends they once were. Don't poison your mind with this garbage. Expand

It may take a little while to fully get into what Masters of the Universe: Revelation is doing if you are not already familiar with the franchise. But whether you're a longtime fan or just hungry for a unique blend of sci-fi and fantasy, this show offers an exhilarating adventure that justifies the era of the legacyquel, while proving itself a necessary and essential part of the Masters of the Universe mythos.

Smith eschews his normally wordy dialogue style, but keeps the characters smart and real, which helps us want to follow all of them as they go on their journey. He also hews closely to the convoluted world that is Eternia, where there’s layer upon layer of intrigue and mysticism that needs to be restored or captured. The animation is an upgraded version of the ’80s Filmation style the original show had, but with just enough retro touches to keep the show connected to its predecessor.
