While not quite as transcendent as its first outing, Jessica Jones season 2 continues to prove that its lead character is one of the most complex and fascinating figures in the MCU, both on film and television. The series’ penchant for leaning into its noir elements--hard-boiled narration and all--lends it a tone and spirit completely distinct from the sea of superhero stories currently out there. While Jessica Jones coheres around a persistent view of Jessica (Krysten Ritter) and her friends as survivors, the series too often seems content to simply acknowledge the effects of trauma without offering an original argument about treatment or prevention. Life is complicated and messy. So is Jessica Jones. This is in many ways the most real , the most compelling superhero series ever made. The superhero thing is almost in the background, but when it comes into play, it is clear that it is as much a curse as a blessing. Loved it.

Not as strong as season 1 as there is no clear villain, however the root of the season is in Jessica reconciling her past, fighting through her tumultuous present and moving onward to the future.

I have watched the whole season, I liked it more than season 1 as I really didn’t like Killgrave (I tire easily of the villain with nearly invincible god like powers yet is eventually defeated plot).

I thought Season 2 have fewer "please make it stop I’m gonna fast forward" moments thanI have watched the whole season, I liked it more than season 1 as I really didn’t like Killgrave (I tire easily of the villain with nearly invincible god like powers yet is eventually defeated plot).

I thought Season 2 have fewer "please make it stop I’m gonna fast forward" moments than the other Netflix series. While it was slow during several moments, I didn’t feel as though I had to force myself to choke down 3-5 episodes like I had to do in the other series.

+1 for actually using her powers. Season one she gets her butt kicked by a untrained 125# woman with a 2×4. And a few other times by wimpy random thugs. In this series she actually kicks butt quite often.

The inter personal drama did get a bit thick in this series. I could use far, far less of that. But I think the acting/directing made it tolerable.

The last couple of episodes were my least favorite, maybe because some of the plot lines endings felt a bit rushed as the writers realized they had less than 2 episodes to wrap them up.

I’d rank it ahead of LC1, JJ1, IF1 and D1. But behind DD1, P1 and DD2.… Expand

Really enjoyed the first season of Jessica Jones. The main characters were compelling. Season 2 removed two roles that made the first season fun to watch (Kilgrave and Simpson). I was looking forward to Simpson being the next villain of the series which didn't happen, in fact, he was removedReally enjoyed the first season of Jessica Jones. Season 2 plays out at a much slower pace with heavier dialogue and less compelling new roles. To me Season 2 was almost half as good as Season 1. I'm noticing repetition in all the Netflix Marvel series being 40 minutes of dialogue and 5 minutes of action towards the end. Over and over. The current team/s working on the different series probably need to be re-motivated or let go to allow for a positive effect on the state of Marvel series.… Expand

I and my teen aged son are 4 episodes in and it is just bad. It is a complete SJW job from the word go. One other reviewer has made comment that it is nice that it was made so heavily by women but it is worse than that. I am honestly questioning if I will bother watching the rest of the series as I am getting NOTHING out of it at all. Even my son is getting tired of being punched in the face with SJW talking points or clear themes every 10 to 15 minutes.

Marvel screwed up their comics and now they are screwing up their non-movie content. BADLY.… Expand
