Fantastic show. I love the slow burn facet of the show and the fact that the viewer is not beaten senseless by non stop super hero displays and special effects. "Jessica Jones" is an undeniable, fantastic series. The acting is top notch, the characters are fascinating, and the directing is phenomenal. I am in love with this show. You must go watch it now! Another Netflix winner!

This is a compelling and great story, treating PTSD and complex subjects such as consent and control, all wrapped into a wonderful noir detective ambience. The best comic book based show so far.

Good casting and very well executed screen adaptation of the dark, complex characters from the Marvel books. Well written and keeps you glued to the screen from pilot to finale.

With a massive difference with DD, it plays more as a thriller that really caught me. Don't know how it will work with the defenders with such distinctive visions that each show have.

When I compare this show to Daredevil (which I liked), it is actually better-paced. Daredevil had several throw-away episodes, but JJ had MAYBE one superfluous epi out of 13. Great show and I can't wait for a second season to brew up as much imbroglio and noir as this one.

This is the best Marvel product I've ever seen. I'm not too big on superhero movies and shows, I like them enough, but CGI fighting gets old to me. This story could easily stand alone, no support needed from the rest of the Marvel Universe. People who like watching The Hulk fight Iron Man may not care for it, but if you like fantastically-written drama, you'll love this show.

Just watched the show, and it was awesome! Although, it's really hard understand the story, but once you keep watchin' the rest of the episode, you'll understand. But honestly there's been a f---ed up s--t in the story, like the Romance, and it's vibrant lesbian in the shows (But it's only make me confuse too much).

Ritter, Colter, Ann-Moss performance was really-really good! Highly

I will start with the story which is about a women named Jessica Jones obviously who is a PI and she solves cases while dealing with a sadistic villain. I love the story and the vibe of it which flows alongside the movie Sin City and has a very Noir aesthetic which coincides perfectly with the narrations done by Jessica throughout the series. I will now move onto the acting which was Superb. I mean Krysten Ritter as Jessica played a perfect alcoholic/investigator. I even enjoyed Luke Cage played by Mike Colter and the relationship that they form. The rest of the cast did Amazing. I will say though that the character who stole the show for me was Purple Man AKA Killgrave played by David Tennant. He is by far my favorite new villain in the Marvel Universe. I mean he is fiendish, barbarous and Delusional. I loved him and he played his character to perfection. I will now move onto the action which was thoroughly entertaining. I will say it didn't have the action packed scenes of Daredevil but it was a Hell of a lot more psychological which is what gets to you in the end and there are some very bloody scenes that actually surpass DD in many respects. I have never read the comics for Jessica Jones but this show is a show you don't want to miss. I will also say that the sound design and the cinematography were superfluous. I will finish by saying that this initial season was Fantastic and you should watch this show immediately. I promise you will not regret it. I was a tad disappointed in the finale but I have my reasons and I will not spoil that but all in all I applaud Marvel for there 2nd dive into a Marvel inspired television show that has paid off in a dramatic way. Absolute favorite of the Marvel Netflix series. There isn't as much action as there is in the others, but there doesn't need to be. What carries the show isn't the punches and kicks, it's the psychological horror of not knowing who is against you and not being able to control yourself. The characters have depth and feel real.

If you're a fan of slow-to-medium burn psychological thrillers with complex and nuanced characters, this is the show for you.

Don't get me wrong, I absolutely love superheroes and action flicks, but at the end of the day, we've seen far too many movies and TV series where they rely so heavily on these aspects, and not enough on the story itself, that it ultimately does a disservice to everyone watching. If you don't have a little bit of patience for a story with a slower burn, this might not be the show for you. I hear they made a new Expendables movie you could probably handle, maybe you should check that out instead.

We did it, we hit the best mixture of Superhero/Thriller/Emotional Drama. It's all downhill from here. It isn't getting better than Krysten Ritter as Jessica Jones versus David Tennant as Kilgrave, the most terrifying villain to ever hit screens. If Marvel closed up shop now after Jessica Jones, I think we could live with it, except we wouldn't get more Jessica Jones.

From the major characters of Jessica Jones and Killgrave, to the minor, Malcolm and Jeri, the series presents complex characters with complex motivations. Each character in the series also undergoes complex character development that engages the audience and makes each character much more human. The complexity of Jessica and Killgrave, as well as the intensity of the scenes between the two (supported by the amazing acting of Krysten Ritter and David Tennant), immediately captured my attention. Jessica and Killgrave show a complexity that is hard to capture within 13 episodes, however, this series has done it perfectly.

The portrayal of Jessica's PTSD and her feelings (mainly of hatred) towards Killgrave was another stunning aspect of the series. Her flashbacks in the first few episodes, as well as the portrayal of her PTSD was executed extremely well, both by Krysten Ritter, the director, and the writers.

Jessica Jones perfects the mix between the genres of 40's detective film noir, a superhero story, a psychological thriller, and an high intensity drama. I hope for further seasons, and applaud the Jessica Jones team for producing an engaging series that captured me from the first few episodes.

It took five episodes for me to get interested--three too many, in these days of television glut. And only after the seventh and eighth did the cruel and clever plot twists (which include graphic torture) become truly gripping. In the early episodes, the pacing was logy and the action muddy, with several subplots that itched to be trimmed or recast.

Given the otherworldly circumstances, it all moves along quite logically and at a brisk pace that leaves dawdling for dead. There’s no flabby midsection here, just one major development after another. The fight scenes are well-choreographed and frequent. And the twists are imaginative while also being grounded in the grim realities of this ramped-up universe.

While, at first, the actress may not look like the superhero type, she convincingly gives Jessica a subtle toughness. In a way, the character is the flip side of Supergirl: Jones is a reluctant superhero, a loner who drinks too much and has real human flaws. Yet Ritter gives Jessica a needed likability. The series also boasts a solid supporting cast.
